Chapter 149: Heartstopper 2

　　Carina's POV -

　　I gained strength from Damian's calmness as I locked my focus on him. He was still Damian, the man who would know just what to do.

　　The plane swayed and leaned to one side. The stink of oil and petrol became more intense. My feet were chilled as water gurgled and collected on the floorboard. "Damian?" As the sickening motion persisted, I struggled to find something to grab on to. Panic welled up inside me like bile. "We are sinking!" I exclaimed.

　　"Remain calm." As he made quick decisions, he extended a hand, his blue eyes telegraphing confidence. "Get off the plane as soon as possible. Grab a grip of anything floatable until I can find the life raft."

　　He brushed his lips across my cold, trembling lips with a brief grasp on my shoulders, kicked at the ruptured plane door, and flung me into the ocean.
