'So it's finally come to this…'

The atmosphere in the grand dining hall remained heavy with tension as Theo took a moment to gather his thoughts.

The issue of succession had finally been brought up, just as Luke had suspected.

Not only had all the suspicions he had been affirmed, but he could see it all with his very eyes… the eyes his own family used to look at him.

It was repulsive!

Theo turned his gaze to Sarah, his grandmother and the family matriarch, who sat at the opposite end of the long mahogany table.

Her expression was stern, her emerald eyes unyielding. The two of them had always shared a special bond, but recent events had strained their relationship.
