Chapter 07: Hunting Grounds [02]

"I should arrange my stats properly." I said as I began putting my stats here and there.

Aaron used up his stats on strength and reflexes.

"I guess this is enough for now. I should start hunting now." I said as I looked around for more of them, but to my surprise, two of the mutant rabbits were circling around me.

"Hah! I guess you all were waiting for me! Sorry for the wait!" I said.

"Kieeek!!!"

The rabbit spits some kind of green acid from its mouth. I dodged it with no effort.

'The attack seems slower than before. I guess it's the effect of putting my stats on reflex.

I took a step back with my left foot and thrust my sword in the rabbit's mouth.

"Piekk..." The rabbit shouted as it disappeared in thin air.

"Wow that's some great re-" Before I could finish my sentence, I was hit with something from behind.

"AW! AW! THAT SERIOUSLY HURTS!!" I shouted with pain.

There was one more Mutant Rabbit which Aaron had forgotten about because of the reward.

I looked at the last rabbit with anger and hit it with my sword as if it was a mosquito.

"Piekk!!!!" The rabbit's body flew about twelve metres away before it finally fell on the ground with a thud.

'So that's the power of STR: 30. But before that, what was that? I guess my synchronisation rate is too high.'

Synchronisation rate allows you to feel the game as if it was real life if you put it on high but it also allows you to feel the pain as if it was real. So, putting it on low is the best.

'I guess I should put it on low.'

"60%!? I guess that's the reason why the air felt so real.." I shouted with surprise.

I lowered the synchronisation rate and then closed the screen.

'The air doesn't feel too real now.'

Aaron then began his search for more of those rabbits.

"Hey big bro, look at that player. He's killing the rabbits left and right!"

Rabbits were flying left and right because of every blow Aaron was throwing with his sword. Some other players were looking at him with awe after seeing his skills.

"He must be a high level player. He's either showing off or messing up the balance of this hunting grounds."

It takes about 5 minutes for a rabbit to respawn but if you kill all the rabbits in a hunting ground, it will take about ten hours.

"People like them should die in a drain! They don't know how to have fun!"

Other players gossiped about this with each other and were deciding whether to PK this player or not.

But opposite to their thoughts, Aaron was just stuck in the Mutant Rabbit's Den. They were spawning one after the other and Aaron is trying to get rid of them.
