Chapter 04: Plans for Future [02]

"Shut up!" Alex shouted as threw his pillow at us which was under his head.

It didn't hit either of us but then Jake went near Alex.

"You are AWaKE!!!" Jake shouted as he began choking Alex as a 'joke'.

"aaaAAAAHH-HH I AM SORRY!!" Alex shouted as he held Jake's hand and was trying to stop him.

I just laughed at seeing this scene. Alex reached out his hand to me for help but he soon dropped dead.

***

After 30 mins, we were now completely serious. Alex was all healed up if we ignored the small wound on his head.

Alex and I were sitting in the middle bed. Jake was sitting on the bed on the left.

"You sure, you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Alex said as he touched his forehead. He flinched a little but I noticed it.

*Clap*

*Clap*

Jake clapped his hands twice and our attention was now shifted towards them.

"As you both know, we have to decide our plans from now on and those plans must be made carefully." He said.

"We just gotta swing our swords five hundred times, nothing more." Alex said as he smiled.

'That's the worst plan, I have ever heard.'

"Yeah.. but getting stronger is just the first step. We also gotta decide what we will do as we get stronger." Jake said as he opened the screen which showed the map of this world.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"My plan is that we will complete this quest and then head towards the Alfaiz Academy." He said as he pointed at the Royal Capital in the map.

Alfaiz Academy is a place where talented students are taught and nurtured for the future of humanity. After the second great human-demon war, this academy was divided into many parts.

"How do you know so much information?" I asked.

"Just say settings and then click on the Game Guide. It includes the official lore along with some side lore. It also has information on monsters. We can still access this feature." Jake said.

I was a little taken back since this feature was still available to us. It's like we have a hundred golden spoons for us right from our birth.

"Anyways, but the main problem is our identity..." Jake said.

You can enter the Academy easily by participating in their qualifying exams but there is a strict check of your identity since sons and daughters of nobles go to that Academy.

"and next up is the fees. This Academy doesn't have anything like a scholarship." He said.

The fees were too high for commoners and only nobles could afford that much.

I started to think about this problem but couldn't get an idea for this.

'Should I check out the Game Guide for answers?'

"But, I have already solved the problem of identity. We can still customise the appearance of our characters." Jake said.

'Hooray, Game world, I guess?'' I thought.

"This was a side lore which happened. Eight years before the war, a baron wanted his three sons to become strong and get higher titles like Viscount or Duke, something like that. So, he sent his son to a dungeon for three days but it was later found that the dungeon was inhabited by the Demon Army. He then asks the Hero for help but it was found out that they were already killed by the demons in there." He said.

"So, we just have to kill the demons in there and then kill the three sons too when they enter the dungeon, am I correct?" I said.

"Yeah." He said.

"So, I guess there's only the problem of money?" I said.

"Don't worry. I'll solve it right now." Alex said as he jumped out of the bed and was heading out the door.

"You don't have to do anything. Sit down!" I said as I grabbed his shoulder and pushed him back to the bed. He tried to go again but I took him in a chokehold this time.

'The last time he had to do something, everything went wrong!' I thought.

"Yeah, don't do anything! Just focus on the quest!" Jake also said.

But, Alex was already unconscious because of my chokehold.

"Strength 30 isn't just for show-off.' I thought.

"Anyways, let's begin our training now." Jake said as he stood up from the bed and took out his wooden sword from inventory. He began swinging it in the air, crazy.
