#Chapter19 No!
After dinner with my mom, I said goodnight and left the house while she stood at the door and watched me getting into my car. I felt bad having to leave her alone but I knew if I stay, we would do nothing but talk about dad and Jax and that would only make us cry and I don’t want to cry. I reversed my car and waved at her and she waved back and I saw her closing the door through the review mirror. I heaved a deep sigh and continue on my way home.
I was almost close to my house when my phone started ringing, I glanced on the screen on the console and saw that it was Chris. I picked it up and answered the call, /"hey, I’m almost home./"
/"Oh, great, em, I’m not at home at the moment./"
I frowned, /"where are you at?/"
/"I’m going for a run, I will see when I get back, okay?/"
/"Oh, alright, see you./"
/"Yeah, I will be back soon,/" he hung up.
