Ch 10 : Arlong Park

During midnight, two figure was found sneaking around in Arlong Park.

" Pst.. Rei, is this really okay? Are you sure we will be fine?"

" Well, trust me Nami!"

Who else would it be other than Rei and Nami?

Rey fully understood the bitter fact that even though he was strong, he was not up to the level which could destroy the whole Sun Pirated without any casualties.

Therefore, rather than the frontal assault like Luffy and the other, he rather chooses to do a night assault and strike when the enemies are unaware.

It wasn't like that he wasn't afraid. In fact, his body was trembling.

But Rei knew if he couldn't get past this, then he wouldn't be able to survive in this cruel world.

Different than before, he now had a system on him, and he definitely wouldn't be the same as the hopeless him from before.

In fact, it is not like Rei didn't try to train. In the very beginning, he had trained diligently. However, he would soon face the fact that his body was an earthlings body, and not one from One Piece world, and he soon reached his limits.

Rei and Nami were currently wearing a black robe.

It was a black robe that Rei had upgraded to have a cammouflation function, and it made them able to sneak during the night without any worries of being discovered.

Snooping around, the two eventually arrived at the inner part of the Arlong part.

But here, matters get a bit troublesome.

In front of them were some Fishman who was patrolling around.

" Rei.. should we go back? It's okay, as long as I'm with you.."

" Ssshhh... please stay silent for a bit, Nami. I'm trying to concentrate!"

As Rei took a better look, he began to aim the Gun on his hand in the direction of the Fishman. It was actually Genzo's Gun, but Rei had "borrowed" it and upgraded it using his system.

Immediately, something like a scale appeared on Rei's eyes, and...

BANG!!!!

Two headshots sounded as the two Fishman limped the floor with blood flowing from their forehead.

Just now, Rei was able to headshot them, creating an instakill.

" How???"

Nami was shocked by this, but Rei only showed a smile full of satisfaction.

Yup, Rei had spent a lot upgrading his Gun just for this.

Now the Gun had three special skills, and he did not need to worry about reloading or out of bullets during a battle.

And for the first kill, Rei indeed felt a bit gruesome after getting his first blood in this world. Nonetheless, he felt a lot better when he tried to imagine all the hardships that Nami had gotten under their hands and the fact that they were just fish.

He also took medicine that he had upgraded specially for handling the aftereffect of the first kill, and it quickly returned the composure on his face.

After the first kill, the next was a lot easier. One trigger and the enemy was dead. It still felt a bit gruesome, but Rei was a lot better at handling them now.

As the two proceeded deeper and deeper, they met with several more Fishman, but Rei easily solved them with a headshot, much to Nami's shock.

Now she realized why her man was so confident and Ray of hope began to appear in her heart.

Nonetheless, this was far from over.

The big boss still standing tall, blocking their way, and without dealing with him, everything would be meaningless.

Yes, without taking down Arlong, Nami and Cocoyasi's village would be far from free, and it was not what Rei wanted.

The two continued to walk, which Rei continuously killed every Fishman he met, and not long after, he finally arrived at a room with a huge door on it.

" It is Arlong's room. Are you ready, Nami?"

" Umm... "

Nami nodded. She still had some fear in her heart, but with Rei standing next to her, she tried her best to suppress her fear. After all, Rei was trying so hard for her.

Rei opened the door, slowly as he was ready to ambush Arlong, but then he noticed something fast was coming his way.

BAMM!!!!

Rei was late to avoid, and the thing hit him hard.

He was thrown away a few meters back.

" Rei!!"

Nami looked worried, and she tried to run to Rei, but Rei gave her some gesture and asked her to not move, as it would only make the battle harder for him.

" Don't worry, I'm okay. After all, I come here fully prepared!"

With the help of the Rank B Defensive armor on his body, Rei was able to mitigate the damage. The armor had fully absorbed the damage, while what was left for Rei to take was only the momentum that sent him a few meters backward.

" Hohoho, isn't it Nami? Why are you coming so late at night?"

In front of Nami and Rei's eyes, a large muscular, light blue saw-shark fish-man whose most distinctive trait is his saw-shaped nose appeared. He has long, black hair with a widow's peak reaching down to his shoulders under a brown ushanka. And on his body was something like a Hawaiian motive unbuttoned shirt.

" Arlong..."

Nami gritted her teeth full of hatred.

With this look, Rei could already see how much suffering Nami had felt under Arlong.

As Arlong's focus was still on Nami, Rei quickly raised his gun ad fired a shot at Arlong.

BANG!!!!!

It should be a headshot if it went according to his plan, but Arlong was no cannon-fodder.

The gunshot was easily blocked with his teeth, and other than his teeth being cracked, Arlong suffered no harmful injuries.

" Is this what makes you confident of defying me? If so, you are only courting for death!"

Arlong frowned as he spits out the bullets and walked toward Rei.

Here, Rei could finally feel the terror of Arlong.

Even if Rei had gotten a lot stronger now, he was still a normal human from earth before, and his combat experience was still far from Arlong.

However, Rei knew he had no other choice. If he was to back down now, then he would live all his life as a loser.

" Don't worry, I will soon turn you into a shark fin soup! I heard that Shark fin soup could fetch a pretty high price here!"
