His goal was to clone Whitebeard, one of the most formidable figures in the world, and enhance this clone by integrating Lunarian blood into the genetic structure. Additionally, the experiment involved cloning the Gura Gura no Mi, a powerful Devil Fruit currently wielded by Whitebeard himself.

The outcome was Edward Vance, a being with immense durability and strength due to the Lunarian blood and the formidable powers of the Gura Gura no Mi. However, due to his enhancements, his mind was erased, and the experiment did not achieve its intended results, leading to Vance being deemed a failure and discarded.

The empty vessel, devoid of mind or soul, was later inhabited by the soul of a boy whom the "author" summoned.
