Coming of age

Seven years pass by and I'm fourteen years old. Due to faster maturing of merfolk in general and being raised with the wildlife in sea, 14 is the age where a mermen are considered adults. but due to biological and heath reasons regarding child birth ,16 is the age for mermaids to be considered adults.

I and my 2 friends have been sneaking outsides the town to tame fishes for some time now, and dispite them not being 30( age where female mermaid tail split into human legs) they can turn theirs legs human now by following my procedure. Although they don't have natural conquerors haki, they can stimulate similar results with much more effort with just armament haki and observation haki. This had led them to unlock a pseudo conquerors haki but they are only able to focus it inside their body and can't bring it out. I have asked them to try to send pseudo conquerors haki with their martial attack and natural biological attacks. Although they can't yet add it to water manipulation of merfolk martial arts,they can add it to their biological attacks. safyre can send it through shockwave that her tail whip creates and can even directly inject into opponent through her stinger like poison invading a body. while Elektra can increase the power output of her electricity by focusing it in her body and even use that electricity as a medium to ditect it outside her body.

This new pseudo conquerors haki that I call queens haki while true conquerors haki is kings haki (sexist much). While kings haki is something you are born with, Queens haki can be created with high will power and some mastery over other forms of haki. And mastery they have achieved ,ever since I have unlocked armament haki, I have been trying to teach them all I know about haki and they have been getting more lessons with their father about it since they reach turned 16(adult mermaid age) and they have absorbed it like a sponge. although the early bottle neck of unlocking these haki was huge, but after unlocking, it has been smooth sailing due to constant spars that we go through regularly.

Throughout these years I have tamed a veriety of sharks and have perfected the forms and even recently managed to create a hybrid of all shark forms that I have. this form has the size of whale shark , wide jaw opening like basking shark(helps produce greater bite force and increases water manipulation), ferocity of great white, jagged teeth of tiger shark, biting for force greater than Bull shark, tail whip of thrasher shark, speed and stamina of mako shark and electro and chemo reception of hammerhead shark. I can take this hybrid in fish form but can't take merman form with this bases, yet.

With the size and ferocity of this form, I wouldn't lose out to even ancient megalodon, who just happens to be my next target. Megalodon exist as sea kings which are higher level being than any other known sea creatures. they are known for their gigantic size and ferocity, but alas they are solitary creatures, which will make it much easier to hunt and tame them. With an equally powerful form with similar size (because of whale shark) and ability to manipulate water, with strategic mind that can better exploit it's weakness, I am very confident in my victory, After my coming of age ceremony tonight, I'm going on an expedition to hunt and tame a megalodon.

Night comes as celebration starts, I have recived several sea stone based gifts from friends and family (because the whole town economy is based on sea stone). As I approach my father I give him a present that I have made. All these years he had taught me everything about smithing and especially forging sea stone and this gift is accumulation and extrapolation of all that knowledge. He unwraps the gift to find gray smithing gloves, apron and a combat uniform made of same material.

Despite its low ductility, I have managed to weave sea stone into a flexible fabric no different than regular cloths but much more durable and fire resistant. He is amazed as by all means this should be impossible, even if I managed to weave it, it shouldn't be this flexible and should be much stiffer.

I achieved this after visit to capital of fishman island where I saw the polyglyph by joyboy. Using observation haki and with knowledge and hypothesis of fantasy runes, I figured out that by focusing all the types of haki ,the stone could be imprinted not just in phisical sense, but also metaphysical way. I could feel emotions from the glyph even after 700 years of being imprinted.

Applying this to water manipulation by superimposing haki and feeling of cold or hot allows me to turn water into ice or scalding hot water or even steam. While applying this to smithing sea stone by drawing thin wires I superimposed haki with flexibility of silk fabric resulted in super strong thread of sea stone with all its wonderful properties but can also be woven into cloth.

I take my mother to our reef outside the town bubble but still inside the boundry of town where my frends have set up curtain to reveal my mother's gift which is much more complex, by using everything she taught me about bubbles that surround our town, my knowledge of aerogel and this haki imprinting technique I have created a pyramid of transparant material using essence of sea stone and aerogel.

it is a bit less flexible than normal bubble that surrounds the town but much stronger and can be put into any shape unlike bubble which can only be spherical. The force required to enter this space is much less than required in bubble while still keeping water or while filtering dissolved gasses.

By using natural biological energy of microbes and plant life inside and outside the pyramid by imprinting it so that any plant near and inside it will be considered as one being whose body includes the transparant body of pyramid, I can induce it to be regenerative and also produce sunlight at the top of the pyramid with bioluminescence like behaviour. This can inturn power plants inside the pyramid garden which inturn is part of the biological system of pyramid. This will allow our town to grow exotic terrestrial fruits and other agricultural produce while also serve as healing reagent due to natural healing properties of sunlight.

I'm extremely proud of my achivement in material science and it might be my in with the Marines in future to get apprenticeship with vegapunk. I have already talked about this with my parents and they have agreed to let me transform into human form and go study science with the world government. What they don't know is that I plan to tame a megalodon on the way.
