Candice shivered as Jack's words hung in the air, a mix of fear and uncertainty swirling within her. She knew deep down that she had no choice but to confront the consequences of her actions but the thought of returning to Damien's dungeon made her uneasy.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me," Candice muttered under her breath, her eyes narrowing with frustration. "You expect me to crawl back into that shithole after everything that's happened? No fucking way."

Jack nodded reluctantly, understanding the weight of Candice's reluctance. He knew that this was not an easy path, but he also knew that they were running out of options.
