Resign To Your Fate!

Hua Jinan sounded annoyed. Su Bei looked at him and answered him, "I couldn't find you, and she kept calling. I was afraid it might be something urgent, so I picked up the phone."

Cold radiance suddenly darted out from the man's eyes. "I hate people touching my things the most!"

Ha!

Su Bei instantly flared up. "You can be assured that I'll not touch anything of yours even if you invite me to from now on!"

Then, she let out a soft chuckle. "Is she your lover or mistress? Why are you so anxious about it?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" asked Hua Jinan, enraged.

"Sir, I think I must make this clear with you: I'm very particular, especially in regards to relationships. Please don't come and disgust me in the future."

As soon as Su Bei finished her words, she wanted to get out of the car.

But the man locked the car door with the sound of a click. She glared at him. "Why, are you going to beat me up?"

"What did she say?" asked the man in a low voice.

Su Bei put on a cold smile at the corner of her lips. "Since you care so much, why don't you marry her?"

Hua Jinan looked up at Su Bei with his inscrutable eyes. "What did she say?"

"She asked if you can look for her now!" Su Bei paused before she continued again, "She appeared to be crying."

The fingers of the man turned pale as he grasped the steering wheel. One could tell that he was trying to suppress the rage in his voice. "Where is she?"

Su Bei looked at him with provocation. "I'm not in a good mood and I don't feel like answering your question, especially when I'm being forced to."

The next second, she felt pain at her wrist as it was being held by the man.

The radiance in his eyes dimmed and was replaced by a subtle fury. "Su Bei, you better not try to challenge my limits, or you'll get hurt."

Su Bei chortled. "Mr. Hua, I'm not even afraid of death. Do you believe it?"

The two of them stared at each other, and the air in the car suddenly became very cold.

His eyes contained no emotion at all except rage. As for the woman, there was a harsh and unyielding look in her eyes.

The hand which was gripping her wrist tightened while Su Bei furrowed her brows deeper from the pain.

The man who had never revealed his emotions before now was furious. She looked on and let out a soft chuckle. "Why are you pestering me when you have someone you love?"

"Su Bei, don't make me angry. Tell me where she is," said the man with his eyes fixed on the woman.

"I'll tell you if only you promise that you'll not pester me again!" said Su Bei.

Hua Jinan suddenly smirked. He picked up the phone and dialed the number. "Yan'er, where are you? Don't ask anything now. Just wait over there for me!"

Su Bei bit her lip. She should have smashed his phone just now.

The man let go of her hand with a disdainful smile. "Nobody in this world can negotiate terms with me!"

With a click, the door was unlocked. With a pair of eyes full of warnings, he said, "If anything happens to the child, I'll not spare you or your entire family!"

His darkened expression was scary, and his voice was extremely cold. There was an irresistible sharpness in his words.

Su Bei looked at him and bit him.

Subsequently, Su Bei was utterly taken aback by what happened next.

The scream from the man sounded off in the night. Su Bei took a really hard bite, and she did not release his hand until she had tasted blood in her mouth.

The man raised his hand intending to hit her while Su Bei lifted her head to meet his hand. Her eyes were full of provocation as she said, "Exerting violence on a pregnant woman? You can't escape from the words of public opinion and the media, even if you are rich and powerful. Believe it or not, I'll expose you online!"

The slap did not eventually take place. But his thin lips drew a cold smile. "I've never hit a woman in my life, and I have my own way of controlling you. Su Bei, I'll forgive you today on account of the child. Remember this, I'll not be lenient on you if this happens again."

Su Bei was not afraid of his threat. She revealed a smile. "I pray to God that I'll never cross paths with you again in my life!"

The man sneered. "God can't save you! Resign to your fate!"
