Alex felt a splitting pain in his head, and the visualisation technique was in-bedded into his brain, he couldn't forget it now, even if he wanted to.

Alex started his first attempt at cultivation, visualising the image of the yin energy and yang energy swirling around creating the famous image of his old life. The maelstrom of energy pushing and pulling against each other, and at the centre fusing into chaos energy. While visualising the image Alex felt natural energy entering his body, attracting his consciousness, and strengthening his soul. The energy split into yin and yang spinning in the same way as the image, forming the purest chaos energy to strengthen his soul. Luckily only a tiny amount of natural energy was being absorbed, neither Yichuan nor Snow noticed at all.

Whoosh. Whoosh. Tiny threads of elemental energy constantly entered Alex's infant body.

Natural energy repeatedly entered his body and cleansed his body. Infants were born pure. Only after experiencing life would, they be sullied by the dirt and grime of the world. But right now, Alex's body had very few impurities within it. With the natural energy repeatedly cleansing him, he quickly became incomparably pure, as pure as a newborn!

' First quest for the host,

Quest: Cultivate every day for a minimum time of 8 hours to hone your willpower, for four years straight.

This quest is not voluntary as the host's willpower is weaker than his brother's due to the host's previous life being cushier.

Now all I have to do is cultivate 8 hours a day, every day just like this, much to Alex's satisfaction during the act of visualisation time flew by, hour feeling like mere minutes. Another benefit was the cultivation re-energised Alex and replaced much of his sleep allowing him to spend his days talking to his brother and discovering more about the Grand Xia World he was born. The novel didn't explain the world in enough detail, and to be honest he hadn't strengthened his soul enough to gain a perfect memory yet.

Four years passed very quickly, and the brothers had become closer and closer, reading and learning about the new world they both call home. Alex due to his perk of understanding every language was able to read much earlier than Ning and so taught his younger brother how to read, which was an interesting bonding experience that brought them closer.

They both had a similar attitude towards knowledge, firstly you have to understand what this world was like, so you could find your place in it.

After reading many books, they came to know that the Ji clan of West Prefecture was a small power located within the vast expanse of land ruled over by the Grand Xia Dynasty!

The territory ruled over by the Ji clan of West Prefecture stretched for three thousand kilometres from north to south and five thousand kilometres from east to west. Countless tribes lived on this land, and all of them were ruled by the Ji clan!

What's more, this was nothing more than the Ji clan of West Prefecture.

The Ji clan was an ancient clan. It was divided into the Central Prefecture, the East Prefecture, the West Prefecture, the North Prefecture, and the South Prefecture. All five Prefectures combined made up the entirety of the Ji clan!

However…the Grand Xia Dynasty was simply too large. Its territory was nearly limitless, and it was an ancient dynasty which was born during the 'Fiendgod Era'. Over a trillion years had passed since the terrifying Fiendgod Era. For a dynasty to be able to last a trillion years was something which Ning found to be inconceivable.

The Ji clan was nothing more than a small power within the borders of the Grand Xia Dynasty, but to the countless local surrounding tribes, the Ji clan was definitely their absolute ruler!

While Alex knew most of this from reading the novel, learning the information first-hand was different, he was sucked into the magical nature of this world and its rich history.

Over the years Alex and Ning were fed the meat from magical, monstrous beasts. In the tribes, monster meat was extremely rare and precious, but they were able to eat it every single day. The visualisation techniques meant that they were able to consume much more of it than an ordinary boy, meaning the meat strengthens their bodies more helping repair some of the damage they received in the womb.

"We must be getting to the time soon, when does he ask," Alex thought, " it has to be any day now. Screw it "

"Ning, I want to start cultivating to become an immortal let's talk to dad?"

" Great, Yichen I want to start training too."

That very night.

Both sides of the main hall were filled with lit lamps, and the entire hall was extremely bright. His father continued to sit where he usually sat, with his mother on the left and Ning on the right and Yichen opposite his dad. The table was still covered with meat as well as plates of vegetables and grains.

"Nom nom nom." Ning blew through the meat on the table like a twister, and then raised his head up. "Father, mother!"

"Hrm, what is it?" Yichuan looked at his son, and Snow did as well.

Although both their son's intelligence caused them boundless joy, it didn't startle them too much, because, in this vast world, there were plenty of devilishly clever people.

"I want to train!" Ning said seriously. "I wish to train to become an Immortal!"

" Me too dad, we've both been thinking about it for a long time," Alex mumbled while eating his food.

Seeing the serious look on their faces, Snow began to laugh. "Train to become an Immortal? Yichuan, our sons wish to train to become Immortals!"

"Immortals?" Yichuan looked at his son coolly. "Do you know what training to become an Immortal means?"
