Leaving

Jacklyn let go of Scarlett and walked over all the shattered glass, filling the room with crunching noises as her platform boots broke the shards into little fragments. Jacklyn threw herself onto the black leather couch, slung her feet onto the arm-rest and pulled out her phone and began flicking through stuff. Not too far in front of her stood Ash and Scarlett. Ash has placed his hands around Scarlett's waist and he pulled her close and hugged her.

"I am sorry about all this hunny, Ill clean it up" Ash said.

He then suddenly pulled away when he noticed a bag at the end of their black railed glass staircase.

"Look, I am sorry. Please don't leave." Ash apologized.

Scarlett took a few steps backwards and turned her head in the other direction.

"Its fine, But don't kill each other please...?" Scarlett asked.

"I'm not leaving because of whatever fight happened here, it's just a glass table, chill out. I'm leaving for personal reasons." Scarlett added.

"Okay, I maybe the dumbest person here. But why the hell are you talking like you plan on leaving!?" Jacklyn snarked.

Scarlett shook her head and walked over to where her bags were stood.

"Scarlett, what's in the bag? Where are you going?" Ash asked concerned.

"Nothing much, Just a few things to keep me going. I wanna take a break from this whole vampire crazy lifestyle thing. I need to go out there and try have a few days to myself. Its okay I'll be fine. I'm not going anywhere too crazy. I'm not leaving the country don't worry." Scarlett explained.

"Me and Jacklyn can come with you too. This is because of the fight Isn't it? If it is , we can fix it. I promise." Ash said,

"No, and its not because of the fight as I said before. Plus, I can look after myself. Don't worry, I have blood to keep me going and syringes, just in case I have a bad urge. I promise no more than two syringes a day, They're only little ones anyway. Trust me on this one. I just need to figure some things out, I have something only I need to take care of. Please don't ask, and please don't follow me. I will be okay, you know I will be. So please... both of you. Trust me" Scarlett said getting emotional.

Ash nodded and then ran over to the kitchen, Pulled out a black box and unlocked it. He picked up a little glass jar, and a syringe. He cleaned his arm, and injected the syringe pulling blood from his arm. He placed his blood inside the jar. He did this until the jar became full to the rim. He threw the needle into the bin and locked the box and sealed the jar. Ash walked back over to Scarlett and handed her the jar. Scarlett took it with shaking hands.

"Here. I know how much you need it. How much you depend on it. But only have it when you need it. This is blood of a rare Hybrid. Don't let it fall into the wrong hands please. I know i'm not meant to give you any of my blood without me being there but I trust you fully to look after it and only take it when you need it." Ash said.

Scarlett nodded and smiled at Ash as she placed the glass jar gently into her bag, She turned to face him, looking into his eyes. Ash threw himself onto Scarlett giving her a tight hug followed by a kiss.

"Please be careful and safe. I love you." Ash whispered into her ear.

"Oh my god, You guys make this seem like some cringe love story, when the girl has to leave or break up with the guy. Seriously grow up Ash, she is just taking a break. She will be back soon. My god. She isn't a kid I'm sure Scarlett will be fine." Jacklyn snapped.

"Its not you it's me" Jacklyn mocked.

"Shut it Jacklyn" Ash snapped as he pulled away from the hug.

"Guys, please behave. Jacklyn, You can stay around for a little bit if you like. The guest room should be perfect for you. It seems you and Ash have some unsettled business and I really don't wanna be here to get in the way." Scarlett smiled.

"Thank you Scarlett, that means a lot." Jacklyn thanked,

Jacklyn placed her phone on the couch flung herself off. She walked over to Ash and Scarlett and hugged Scarlett tightly.

"Please look after yourself. If you get hurt or die I will find you, and kill you again. I promise you that" Jacklyn whispered,

"I wont" Scarlett said,

"Good, Now go do what you have to. I will be here when you get back." Jacklyn assured.

Ash went over to the stairs and picked up her bag.

"Jeez, this is heavy. How long you plan on going for?" Ash exclaimed.

"Not too long. A couple of days. It's just clothes, blood and some other things. Not important. Yeah, it is heavy." Scarlett laughed as she walked over to the door.

Scarlett grabbed her long leather trench coat off the coat hanger and slid it onto her body fastened it up.

"Woah, You haven't worn that in ages. Damn, Looks good on you. You look so damn beautiful. You know i Love those studded boots on you, You know I always have. Your make ups is just so damn wonderful, all that time and dedication you put into it. You are so amazing Scarlett. Not to mention you have a perfect figure." Ash said in awe.

"Is it a nice coat to be fair. Might have to get my own." Jacklyn added.

"But that coat looks good on you. But its just odd, You have not worn that in ages, if I am not mistaken. Last time was the very last day you ever killed a vampire." Ash said.

Scarlett turn to him and smiled. Ash opened the door and placed the bag strap over Scarlett's shoulder. He smiled at her and pulled her close so their eyes once again met. Ash lent in and kissed her once again, a little bit longer this time and a little more intense. Scarlett threw the bag down and moved her hands slowly up Ash's back and clamped them together around his neck. Ash placed one of his hand on her back and the other a little higher than her hips and held her tighter.

"You guys make me sick" Jacklyn laughed to herself.

Scarlett pulled away shortly after and She picked up her bag and gave Ash one last hug and waved to Jacklyn.

"Scarlett take care of yourself. Please, For everybody sake. Keep me updated please!" Ash begged.

" I will I promise you. Please look after yourself. Jacklyn. Don't do anything stupid." Scarlett said leaving the door waving.

Ash soon closed the door and Sighed and turned to face Jacklyn who was stood and the end of the stairs.

"Now where the hell were we!?" Jacklyn snapped.

"Jacklyn, Really? Scarlett just left. I really don't want to right now." Ash mumbled.

"Do you really let your emotions control you like that. Seriously, she left for personal reasons nothing to do with you obviously. Now, we can sort our unfinished stuff out. Cant we?" Jacklyn smirked.

"Jacklyn seriously!? I am pretty sure Scarlett does not wanna come home in a few days to a broken and destroyed house. She spent ages fixing this placed up, and turning it all Gothic. Let's not do this here." Ash explained

Ash picked up a near by broom and shovel and walked over to the pile of glass and started cleaning it up. Jacklyn began helping Ash clean up the broken glass on the floor. They still carried on throwing cocky and insulting remarks and comments at each other.

"Why are we even doing this? Wasn't my fault you broke the glass table" Jacklyn cocked.

"Dude, you literally got into a fight with me, it's both of our faults. Don't pin the blame on me" Ash cocked back.

"Whatever, I'm going now, I'm bored of this cleaning. Wasn't even my mess." Jacklyn scoffed.

Jacklyn soon got up and left without saying another word leaving Ash alone with his thoughts and the ticking clock.

Ash felt off as Scarlett wasn't around, Curious to as why she suddenly left without a explanation. He has so many racing thoughts in his head. Shortly after Ash finished cleaning the glass himself and then went to pour himself a hot cup of coffee and plastered his bleeding fingers from the glass. He gently leaned against the counter thinking to himself trying to figure out everything that's happened. He finished his cup of coffee place the cup down carefully and slowly drifted his head towards the Victorian style Gothic clock in the kitchen. Staring at it as time slowly ticked by.
