"How the hell are you up? I thought I left you for dead in the dirt." Athan raged.
"You did, but I got back up," Scarlett said in pain.
James walked over behind Athan and giggled to himself. Athan turned around and glared at James.
"You see, the whole point of me stepping in was to distract you so Scarlett could get up on her feet. I had no intention of actually fighting you, I knew I didn't stand a chance against you, but I took that risk so that Scarlett could finish you off." James explained.
"How brave of you to presume you're fellow princess here can finish me off." Athan snapped.
"I don't need to presume anything; I just know these things," James said, rolling his eyes.
"Anyway, how does your princess here plan on killing me? Last time I checked, I was about to deal the final blow." Athan said.
Athan turned back around to face Scarlett, who looked like she was about to pass out.
"Look at her," Athan said.
