File O: "Onomatopoeia" (1/2)

As everyone huddled together in their respective spots on the Bedford in Sunny and Mari's cozy living room, the ambiance was set for a night of thrill and chills. The TV above the fireplace cast a gentle glow, adding warmth to the room on this windy night. Each of them had their favorite pajamas on, ready for the horror movie marathon they had planned.

The sound of the wind outside added an eerie background to the scene, enhancing the suspense of the horror flick they were about to dive into. Sunny had carefully chosen a classic horror movie, hoping to elicit a mix of fright and excitement from his friends.

Aubrey, curled up with a blanket, glanced around at her friends, noticing the anticipation in their eyes. Kel, known for his love of adrenaline, had an excited grin, while Hero seemed more intrigued, ready to analyze the plot twists. Basil, usually quiet during such gatherings, appeared slightly tense, his gaze focused on the screen.

As the movie began, the room filled with the sounds of suspenseful music and eerie on-screen happenings. Jump scares elicited squeals and laughs, and the occasional whispered commentary added to the fun. Sunny, sitting at the edge of the bedford, occasionally glanced at Mari's sleeping form nearby, a sense of protectiveness washing over him amidst the movie-induced thrills.

The night promised not just scares but also shared laughter and moments of camaraderie, reinforcing the bonds between these friends as they navigated the twists and turns of the horror movie together.

Sunny couldn't help but blush slightly as Aubrey hugged his arm, finding comfort in the shared experience despite her unease with horror movies. He glanced over at Basil, noticing his similar expression of discomfort, confirming Sunny's suspicion that neither of them was particularly fond of scary films.

On the other side of the room, Kel and Hero were fully immersed in the movie, munching on popcorn as they reacted to each suspenseful moment with enthusiasm. Their excitement added to the atmosphere, contrasting with Aubrey and Basil's more reserved reactions.

As the movie progressed, Sunny found himself chuckling at Kel and Hero's exaggerated reactions, enjoying the lighthearted moments amidst the tension of the horror scenes. Aubrey's grip on his arm relaxed slightly, a sign that she was gradually getting used to the scares, thanks partly to Sunny's reassuring presence.

Basil whispers to Sunny "Woah you change…" As Sunny whispers back "change how?" As Aubrey chimes in with a mild flustered face since she is much closer to Sunny "I think Basil meant how you seem the most unaffected or just can't express your fear of horror?"

The night continued with a mix of fright and laughter, each member of the group finding their way to cope with the spooky atmosphere. It was moments like these, shared experiences and mutual support, that strengthened the bond between them, making their friendship feel even more resilient.

Meanwhile, Kel hush the three of them as he smugly spoke "Either way I atleast notice Sunny seems braver than you two….like come on it's just a horror movi—" Then Hero jumped comically as he made sure not to drop the popcorn he and Kel shared as he utters "Y-y-yeah like those spider-like monsters aren't real when it chases those teens right?"

The chuckles continued as Sunny asked if it was a bad thing that he remained unaffected by horror movies or the genre itself. Aubrey playfully nudged him and teased, "Not at all! You're like our fearless leader in the face of terror."

Basil added with a grin, "Yeah, it's like having our horror movie critic right here."

Kel, still smirking, chimed in, "I guess someone has to keep a level head while the rest of us jump out of our skins."

Hero, recovering from his earlier jump, laughed and said, "Definitely! We need someone to reassure us that it's all just make-believe."

Their banter continued, creating a light-hearted atmosphere despite the spooky movie playing in the background.

Sunny sighed softly, a smile playing on his lips. "But isn't Kel brave in his own way? He gets so engaged with this stuff, and Hero, well, he has a unique perspective on it all."

Aubrey nodded in agreement. "That's true. Kel's enthusiasm makes everything feel more exciting, and Hero's thoughtful approach adds depth to our discussions."

Basil added, "We each bring something different to the table. It's what makes our group dynamic so interesting."

Their conversation drifted to discussing the movie's plot twists and favorite horror tropes, creating a cozy yet animated atmosphere in the living room.

The atmosphere in the room shifted as Sunny pointed at the screen, his voice steady but tinged with a hint of unease. "Something... wait, that female main character... she kind of looks like Mari..."

Aubrey and Basil exchanged surprised glances, their attention now fully focused on the movie. Kel leaned forward, squinting at the screen. "You think so? Maybe it's just a coincidence."

Hero, ever the observer, commented, "Could be intentional. Movies often draw inspiration from real-life people or events."

Sunny nodded slowly, still fixated on the screen. "Yeah, maybe. But it's uncanny."

The group continued watching, now with a heightened sense of curiosity sparked by Sunny's observation.

Hero then told everyone "Again, there's a very small chance some people may look alike, and Woah!!!" As Kel hugs Hero close to Kel says "There there, you shuddering too if a movie can almost coincidentally be like our current sleeping companion…" trying to make her comatose state lighthearted.

Kel's attempt to lighten the mood with a touch of humor was met with mixed reactions. Sunny managed a small smile, appreciating the effort to ease the tension. Aubrey chuckled softly, while Basil nodded in agreement with Kel's sentiment, understanding the underlying concern.

Hero, although hugged by Kel, couldn't fully shake off the unease triggered by the movie's resemblance to Mari. "I know, I know," Hero said, trying to sound reassured. "Just caught me off guard, that's all."

The group settled back into watching the movie, but there was an underlying awareness of the eerie similarity that lingered throughout the rest of the film.

As they finally finish the movie, the Corazon brothers (Hero and Kel) insist they clean up the snacks they had while Aubrey helps Basil turn off the TV. Then, Sunny makes sure the fireplace' fire is less light and powerful by preventing more firewood added. He still shudders thinking Something is watching him as he thought (I just want to have a good sleep with my friends….Just this once…I can't feel sick)

As the group tidied up and prepared for bed, Sunny's unease lingered, the movie's imagery still haunting his thoughts. Despite his efforts to downplay it, a sense of unease gnawed at him. He quietly attended to the fire, adjusting it to a comfortable level before joining the others.

Aubrey noticed Sunny's subtle discomfort and offered a reassuring smile, silently communicating her support. Kel and Hero, engrossed in their cleaning tasks, didn't notice Sunny's lingering unease.

Once everything was in order, they settled into their makeshift sleeping arrangements, each finding their spot in the living room. Sunny tried to push aside his lingering apprehension, focusing on the comfort of being surrounded by his friends.

Meanwhile, even Basil was better at hiding his own 'something' sometimes manifested to haunt him as well by nudging Sunny with a smile. As Sunny sighs "You both notice huh? Sorry, I might be tired…"

They chuckle as Kel and Hero return.

Hero continued "Maybe due to before a horror movie watch we already ate dinner plus some snacks to enjoy it.." As Kel smiles "Ahh it's nice we try to make sure this NEW Bedfort can fit everyone as Aubs complains it may not fit everyone.."

As Sunny spoke softly with a straight face "Well she did have a point about our current size difference compared to being kids…."

As the banter continued, they settled into their Bedfort, arranging pillows and blankets to maximize space. Kel and Hero took the initiative to create a comfortable setup, ensuring everyone had enough room to sleep.

Aubrey teased Sunny about his deadpan expression, earning a playful eye roll from him. Basil, ever observant, subtly checked on Sunny's well-being with a reassuring smile.

Once everything was set, they each found their spot in the bedfort, ready to sleep. Despite the lingering unease from the horror movie, the warmth of friendship and camaraderie enveloped them, providing a sense of comfort and security as they drifted off to sleep.

Aubrey nervously asks Sunny "So Uhh Sunny….you don't mind that me and Kel are the ones on the side while you, Basil, and Hero are in the middle mostly for the bed set up?" The arrangement looks like in this order - Kel and Aubrey are at the very sides of the bed fort (Aubrey is right, Kel is left), Basil is near Kel's left, Hero is at the very center (sandwich by Sunny and Basil), lastly Sunny is closest to the right where Aubrey is.

Sunny, still in his calm demeanor, replied reassuringly, "Of course not, Aubrey. It's fine. We all found our spots comfortably, right?" He glanced around at the others for confirmation.

Basil nodded in agreement, adding, "It's a cozy setup. Plus, it's good to have everyone close together."

Kel chimed in with a grin, "Yeah, and if anyone needs to switch spots during the night, we can always adjust. No worries, Aubs."

Hero, already settling in the middle, chuckled softly. "Exactly. We'll make it work, like always."

With their understanding and flexibility, the group settled into their positions, ready to rest after the movie night excitement.

Then they chuckle when Kel instantly sleeps as he drools. Commenting how as always that's how Kel is such a goofball (in a good way)

Hero sighed as he spoke, "Night everyone, we still need to proceed with how to finish up that 'treehouse project' we all work together on.."

As they prepare to settle in for the night, Aubrey adds with a smile, "Yeah, we should plan that out tomorrow morning over breakfast. Good night, everyone."

Basil nods in agreement, "Definitely. We've made great progress so far."

Sunny, stifling another yawn, chimes in, "I'll make sure to set an alarm so we can get an early start. Good night, everyone."

With that, they all bid each other good night and drift off to sleep, looking forward to the continuation of their project the next day.

With that, this time Omori woke up in white space once more yet gasping as if he felt oddly happy or comfortable lazing around on his white blanket that is like a flat mat for his laptop, sketchbook, and tissues he muttered "Why is there moments I am feeling I am changing? I just hope my friends are okay…."

Then, he felt a gentle whisper in Mari's voice saying "You're doing good—" it vanished when he turned as he panted a bit. Brushing it off as he looked around where Mewo was, he noticed the black kitty was busy. Playing with red hands around the corner.

Omori approaches Mewo with his usual expressionless demeanor, observing the black kitty play with red hands with calm curiosity. He crouches down, extending a hand towards Mewo, who pauses in its play to sniff his fingers before resuming its playful antics. Omori watches silently, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips, a rare moment of warmth in his otherwise stoic facade.

As Omori updates his virtual diary on his laptop, he reflects on his recent experiences and feelings. Despite trying to focus on happier drawings on his sketchpad, he can't shake the flustered feeling he gets when thinking about Dreamworld Aubrey. This inner conflict adds to his growing sense of unease and curiosity about the nature of his emotions and the Dreamworld itself.

As he finishes, Mewo meows as it translates while it cuddles with Omori (You seem more peaceful and happy today….)

Omori smiles faintly at Mewo's translation and softly pets the black cat. "Thanks, Mewo. I'm glad you think so. Maybe spending time with everyone helped." He then decides to take a break from his thoughts and focus on a new sketch, hoping to channel his feelings into something creative and positive.

He bit his drawing pencil and scratched is head then he blushed "Uhh Mewo…it's not bad if I draw my friends this time on my art right?"

Mewo meows with a nod, implying she agrees.

Omori nods thoughtfully, considering Mewo's perspective. "You're right, Mewo. Drawing my friends might help me feel closer to them, even in this strange world." He then begins sketching his friends, focusing on capturing their unique personalities and expressions in his artwork.

He also bases it on his adventures despite the recent cut-off , but pauses when he shakes and remembers that creature in blackspace that is the 'stranger' that seems to look like Basil in shadowy form yet has no connection to him. As Omori muttered, "Or does he?"

Omori's thoughts drift to the mysterious figure resembling Basil in blackspace. He contemplates, "Could there be a connection after all? Maybe I need to delve deeper into these encounters to understand what they signify." With a determined expression, he continues sketching, using art as a way to explore and unravel the mysteries surrounding him.

As he finished, he smiled cutely as he swung his legs around to show Mewo "See Mewo? Like my latest art?"

Omori's expression lights up as he swings his legs and shows Mewo his latest artwork. Mewo purrs in approval, conveying, (It looks fantastic! Your creativity is truly remarkable).

He sighs as he sets is aside and brings out his tissue box to wipe off the loose graphite stain on his hands from using the pencil and stands up preparing his knife "Mewo…wish me luck and always stay in white space okay?"

As Omori stood up, he nodded to Mewo and prepared his knife, ready for whatever awaited him. Mewo meowed in agreement, reassuring him, (I'll be right here, keeping watch over white space. Stay safe out there).

He nods, and then finally he opens the white door again but this time instead of a usual hub it leads him to where his adventure cut off.

He is looking for that secret area that his friends (Kel , Hero and Aubrey) claim to found via side quest and part ways for search which he was with Dreamworld Basil.

n the end, Dreamworld Basil cries to hug Omori as they are in the same dark corner where he last picked up the keyboard piece he asks "Ohh Omori Omori!!!! Thank goodness you're okay.." As Omori confused asks with his stoic tone and face "What do you mean by that Basil? I always will not succumb or get hurt…."

Omori's stoic demeanor contrasted with Dreamworld Basil's emotional response, creating a tense moment. Dreamworld Basil clarified through his tears, "No, Omori, it's not about getting hurt physically. It's about losing yourself, forgetting who you are. That's what scares me."

Omori tried not to laugh as he asked "What? What do you mean by that Basil? Anyways I am fine, let's keep searching for that secret if not we can ask to regroup with the others…."

Basil wiped his tears and nodded, but his expression remained troubled. "Right, let's focus on finding that secret. Maybe it will shed some light on what we're missing." Together, they resumed their search, their minds filled with unspoken concerns and mysteries.

Omori then turns to Basil "So what happened for a moment that made you worry so much?" He still needs to differentiate if Dreamworld a Basil even was with him in blackspace (but it seems he was not with him)

Dreamworld Basil held Omori's hand finally not crying as they left their side of the Junkyard corner "Ohh nothing much, just notice you seem frozen for a moment and I felt you're about to vanish somehow…."

Dreamworld Basil's concern added another layer of mystery to their adventures. Omori felt a chill run down his spine at the mention of almost vanishing. "I see," he replied, trying to process the information.

As they finally reunite at the nearest picnic area (where he recalls Mari is the only one who didn't join the search and is on standby) Dreamworld Mari was fixing her picnic basket until she turned and smiled "Ohh Omori and Basil!!! Back so soon? The other group (Kel, Hero, and Aubrey) aren't back yet…."

Dreamworld Mari's smile brought a sense of warmth to the scene. Omori nodded, "Yeah, we decided to regroup for now. Maybe they found something interesting," he replied, glancing at Dreamworld Basil for confirmation.

Dreamworld Basil nods "We didn't take too long due to well…we sorta forgot what sort of secret we're looking for…" Until they jumped almost when the other group returned as Aubrey headfirst hugged Omori.

As Omori blushes with eyes dilate to try to speak but pause. As Aubrey retracted her hug noticing his expression and spoke "Uhh sorry Omori to surprise you!!!! Just want to say we also recently came back!!!" As Dreamworld Kel giggles "Ohh? And the reason we did is because you miss hi—-" as he felt His beachball thrown at him by a huffing flustered Dreamworld Aubrey.

Dreamworld Hero chimed in, "Yeah, we didn't find the secret area again, but we did stumble upon this mixtape. It seems like someone from this world might have taken it. It could be a clue or at least a lead to something interesting."

Omori nodded, intrigued. "That's unexpected. Maybe it's related to our main quest somehow. We should keep it safe and maybe ask around if anyone knows more about it," he suggested, looking around at the group.

Then he paused when he turned to Aubrey blushing "Ohh doesn't mean I didn't forget what you said, Aubrey…." As Kel tease "Ohh do you miss her too Omori?"

As he felt a pinch of his arm playfully by Aubrey saying "Kel!!!! No there's no way Omori is like that to me!!!!!"

Dreamworld Basil intervened, chuckling lightly as he said, "Alright, alright, let's not tease Omori too much." He then turned to Dreamworld Mari and commented, "Seems like Omori is a bit shy today, huh?"

Dreamworld Mari smiled warmly at Omori and said, "No worries, Omori. We're all just having a good time here."

Dreamworld Hero says "Hey guess not only me and MARI are getting chummy huh?" He tries to CHARM and flirt with Mari as she giggles and pokes his cheek as she says "I know!!! What a charmer you are Hero~"

Dreamworld Hero winked playfully at Dreamworld Mari and replied, "Can't help it when I'm around such lovely company like you." He then chuckled and gave her a light playful nudge on the shoulder.

Omori sighs in relief, then all of a sudden he feels tired and lies down by the picnic side again. As Dreamworld Basil asks once the other two (Aubrey and Kel) calms down their banter "Omori you okay?"

Omori nodded slightly, his eyes closing for a moment. "Yeah, just a bit tired from all the searching and excitement," he murmured.
