Chapter 4

Aggravation was the first emotion that struck Celestia's features as she rested on the bench alongside the cheery boy who presented himself earlier as Han. She had many questions roaming around in her mind and she knew that she had to get information out of him now to ease the nerves that were bubbling inside of her.

"How did you know my name?" She didn't discard a single second of time and went straight to the point, the shadowy gleam in her eyes indicating that she was serious.

Han merely waved his hand in an uncaring fashion, his posture indicating that he was going to take his sweet time to reveal anything about himself.

If anyone had seen the two on the bench they would be able to tell instantly that the two were not accommodated with each other.

"Forget that for now and relax. The weather is great," He beamed but this irritated her further, her eyebrows scrunching together while a scowl appeared on her face.

Not wanting to stay with him any longer, Celestia planned to leave by standing up and turning away but once she had done so, he seized a hold of her wrist, her tattoo emitted a light. Her eyes widened as she grew into a shocked state and Han smiled warmly over her reaction.

"That's the reason why I know." He softly muttered as he tugged her back down to sit next to him.

Celestia was stiff due to the contact between his hand and her wrist, the feeling being foreign to her since he had grasped it in such a gentle manner, unlike Zerro who would act the opposite.

His posture had changed as he tilted his head to observe the marking on the palm of her hand, her eyes following after to look.

"You are the last weapon contractor and I've been looking for you, Celestia," He revealed.

Taken aback by a part of the news that had just been voiced out, Celestia rose from her seat and took a few steps back to create a distance between them. Han straightened up to his full height but the young girl raised her hand indicating for him to not move any further.

"What do you want with me?" She cautiously asked, wrinkles forming around her eyes as they narrowed.

"To fulfil a contract between the two of us so we can become partners but that's-" He made an effort to provide more information but she reduced his speech as she spoke over him.

"I can't, I'm sorry." She moved her attention onto the stony ground, her hands curling up to fists as they clenched in frustration.

"You already-hey! Don't run off!" Han quickly took action to rush after her as she tried to leave the scene but halted with a stumble when the resonance of the bell ringing bolted from the speakers and reached his ears.

A curse as quiet as a whisper slipped past his lips when a small amount of frustration hit him. The blue haired male sighed as a sign of defeat and decided to return to the school office, knowing that the teacher he had been with in the morning was probably looking for him at this moment in time.

"Han! Where did you go off to? I was worried."

Han made the type of face you would make when you get caught and he turned towards the science teacher, who introduced himself earlier as Mr. Hamlin as they walked over to him with a disapproving look.

Han had to come up with a reason so the teacher wouldn't scold him. The adult called for the teenager who was lost in his own thoughts and after a while succeeded in bringing his attention back onto him.

"Sorry sir…I got lost." He used the lamest excuse he could only ponder of at that particular point and it appeared to have worked as he was guided to the staff room where he received an envelope full of papers with different information.

"That has your schedule and everything else that you need to help you settle into our school. If you need anything just come by here," Mr. Hamlin informed as his lips curved up to form into a smile.

"Thank you, sir. I'll come by tomorrow before lessons start because I need to ask you a few questions. Is that okay?" The politeness in Han's tone helped him to gain a sign of approval to leave and he did so but not before he sent the teacher his farewells.

Whispered words filled the room causing the atmosphere surrounding Celestia to grow dim with irritation. She glimpsed to her right and more or less sighed when she saw the new student of her class smile, his attention only focused on her.

She had gained the knowledge of Han transferring into her school after she managed to get away from the male himself yesterday and walk past Mr. Hamlin who mumbled his worry for losing track of the new student at that time but the information didn't include the fact that he would be in her class too.

"Stop it." She directed a glare that would send shivers down one's spine but he seemed completely unfazed, the happy expression that adorned his features remaining.

Mr. Hamlin was in a daze as he absorbed the scene the two had created amongst themselves until the whispers of the students had increased to general talking.

"Settle down class!" The lesson then resumed and Mr.Hamlin reminded himself that he was an adult and being put into a daze over something little was completely childish of him.

There was a little part of him that still couldn't get over it.

Throughout the year of him teaching the class that Celestia was in, he had never seen anyone sit by her or interact with her. He may or may not have seen her being bullied but the girl never told her concerns to him or any other teacher so he couldn't get himself involved in her life. It was sad, truly but he had signed a contract when he began working at this school where one section indicates that if a student gives their concern over something then you can resolve it but if not, then don't involve yourself. He wasn't happy with what he had no choice but to agree with but if he told the principal that, his job could pretty much disappear.

"Resolve these problems in the next five minutes and then we'll go through the answers." He instructed.

Celestia brought her attention back onto her notebook as she wrote down her answers but when a crumbled paper landed lightly on top of her desk, she had no choice but to pause in her activity and read the single word that was written on the paper.

'Hi! =)'

Not bothering to give it another glance, she flicked the paper away with her tiniest finger and continued her work.

'I have to tell you something important after school.'

Another paper had appeared on her book but the words written this time had taken her by interest. She snuck a glance at Han who had finally begun listening to their teacher, wonder glistening in her orbs. The bell robbed her attention as it rang and her hand moved over to her left to grab her plain black bag, the strap of it soon being placed on to her shoulder.

"Stop following me."

Celestia had been walking out of the room when she grasped onto the detail of Han who was imitating her every step.

"I want to eat lunch with you." He claimed as his bottom lip jutted out but Celestia didn't seem to be affected by his cute act.

"No. Get lost." She replied harshly before her feet moved once more.

Han had no intention of listening to her and trailed behind, brightness still gleaming in his brown eyes. Anger, however, flashed in her own and she whipped her head back as she halted from any further movement.

"I told you to get lost." She mustered up the nastiest glare she could send him and Han's smile faltered, him feeling a fraction of confusion.

"Why are you pushing me away? I just want to hang out with you." His tone held peace but also cordiality.

Celestia's jaw tightened as she hesitated to speak but she soon gave in and spilled the reason behind her behaviour.

"Don't you get it? I'm hated by most of the students in this school. I'm not wanted and the same will happen to you if you stay by my side." She feared that his reaction would be one that was negative but as she focused on him once more, her eyes widened ever so slightly.

"I don't care really care what others will say about us. I just want to be your friend." He shrugged, his eyes closing as his kind smile stretched.

A spark of hope hit the female as she became aware of what he stated but it crumbled as soon as her eyes made contact with a familiar pair of crimson eyes, the owner of them standing behind Han's oblivious self. Han waited for a response but the one he received caused him to grow startled.

"H-Hey! Where are you going?" He asked, his hand reaching out to grab her wrist but she quickly avoided his touch.

It didn't take him long to notice the fear that coated her face as she glanced back a single time, this affecting his smile which vanished.

"Celestia!" He called in concern.

Lips twisting into a frown, he gave the view behind him a quick once over but saw no one before he headed to the cafeteria where he had no choice but to eat his lunch on his own.

------------------------------------------------

Afternoon classes had begun and Celestia entered her history class. Her feet halted in place as she detected her desk was missing.

"What's wrong, Celestia?" One of the many female students asked, faking concern.

Glancing at the girl who she recognised to be Liza Demilin, she caught the smirk that painted her lips. The blonde girl stepped up to Celestia and poked her shoulder in a tempting manner.

"Do you know why it's gone? It's because you don't belong here," She whispered as she leaned close enough for her to hear.

Celestia remained impassive, infuriating the shorter female. A harsh sound echoed throughout the room, bringing everyone's attention onto them. She ignored the stinging pain on her cheek and the fact that she had just gotten slapped as she gazed back at the older girl who was fuming.

"Say something, you stupid bitch," She hissed.

Celestia lifted her hand and Liza genuinely anticipated her next move. What she didn't expect was to stumble back with a simple push of a finger.

"You're too close." Celestia mumbled before spinning on her heels and striding out the classroom.

Celestia's hands were clenched as she walked through many hallways, trying to find an empty room for her to be alone in. She wanted to vent her anger out of something and she was sure no one would say anything if she destroyed a few old desks that were abandoned long ago.

'I've located some demons. Head North to the forest.'

Zerro used his power to telepathically send his message to her and if it wasn't for the fact that she hated him so much, she would have thanked him since she was in the perfect mood to kill a few demons.

-----------------------------------------------

"Welcome home, Celestia."

Regarding the one who called her, the black haired female recognised the elderly maid who approached her in a calm manner before she bowed in respect. Not bothering to greet back, Celestia walked past her and went towards the elegant set of stairs.

"How can she be so rude?" Two women witnessed the scene that occurred and whispered amongst themselves as they aimed a dirty look at her.

Celestia faltered her footsteps and flashed her cold eyes towards the pair who cringed under her stare. She let out a small scoff and resumed her way up to her room.

"Speak in that way again and you will both be fired," The wiser woman warned.

"Miss Astonia! She should not act in that way towards you. It was disrespectful." The maid criticised, the fellow worker next to her agreeing.

Astonia conducted them an indication that she was being serious through her sharp eyes and ordered for them to get back to their chores. Releasing a sigh, she stared at the stairs where the girl she knew for many years once stood.

"Why did you change so much?"
