Paul's rival?

As Kage watches the encounter between Elias and Paul he starts thinking.

"Should I really be watching this? But I kind of want to know why someone like him would have beef with Paul. I'm sure Doc is already with Unknown, so maybe I will watch."

Selena walks next to Kage.

"That guy is named Elias"

"Do you know him, Selena?"

"I don't know him personally, but you were in the bathroom during his match. During his first match, he let his opponent hit him."

"What! Is he a masochist?"

"Wait, that's not all. When he got hit, he instantly spun around and punched Rose, his opponent, in the face. The punch sent her flying, and that was the first one-shot K.O. of the entire tournament."

"Wait, he ended the fight with one attack!"

"Yes, the battle lasted for only twenty seconds."

"So even though he's in the lower classes, he's no pushover."

"Not a pushover would be an understatement. Rose might have only been a level one, but knocking out even the weakest level one with one physical attack would be challenging."

"Wait, hold on, he just grabbed Paul!"

Selena quickly grabs Kage before he rushes to Paul's aid.

"What are you doing Selena?"

"Did you forget we can't fight outside of the tournament? Paul is smart; he won't do anything to get himself disqualified, and I'm sure Elias is the same. So let's just go."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

Kage and Selena leave to go check up on Unknown. On the other side of the hallway, Elias has Paul by his collar.

"Paul!"

"Excuse me, could you not grab me like that?"

"Do you even remember me?"

"Of course, I remember you, Elias. I fought you in the entrance exam when you were still a level one, and I beat you. I never forget an opponent, no matter how long ago I fought them."

"Tch! Don't give me that shit! You destroyed everything I worked so hard for, and I'm going to make you pay for it in the tournament!"

A hand grabs Elias's wrist. When Elias looks to his left, he sees Kai, who has Aurora and Alexander standing behind him.

"I'm going to have to ask you to let go of him. Fighting outside of the tournament is against the rules."

"And who the hell are you?"

Elias feels the strong grip Kai has on his wrist and lets go of Paul.

"Get your hand off of me!"

Elias swipes Kai's hand off him and walks away.

"I will destroy you, Paul!"

As Elias walks away, Aurora says, "What a troublesome kid. Hopefully, I won't have to fight him in the tournament. Are you ok Paul?"

Paul fixes up his clothes and says, "I am fine Aurora. Thank you, Kai, but I would have been able to handle that situation by myself."

"Yes, I know, but I just couldn't sit by and watch something as dishonorable as that go down, but Paul, I am surprised you know who I am."

"Of course, I know who you are. I make sure to take it upon myself to know every strong person in my vicinity."

"Wait, you consider me strong?"

"All three of you are strong. You with your amazing fighting capability, Aurora with her smarts, and Alexander with a power so suited for him, he could probably beat people ten times stronger than him. You all might be the top three in class four, but I can tell just from looking at all of you that you're all nothing to underestimate."

Alexander puts his right foot on the chair Paul is sitting on and holds his head up high.

"Ha serves you right! I'm glad you can recognize greatness! If more people used their brokeness to learn from me, the world would be right! Since you recognize my greatness, I will go throw that kid messing with you a band or two so he won't feel the need to continue acting like a broke bum."

Aurora grabs Alexander by the back of his collar.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing, brokie?"

Aurora drags Alexander away.

"To this day, I still don't know what you mean by brokie. I searched in the dictionary many times, but it's still not there. Can you please use proper language when you speak? Also, please stop being a nuisance; your money isn't that impressive."

"It seems someone's brokeness is affecting their speech."

As she drags Alexander away, Aurora punches him in the head. Kai gives Paul a firm handshake.

"Thanks for the recognition, and I hope to see you in battle!"

"You really are a worthy opponent."

During this confrontation, the seventh match of the first round went down. The round was Chika, the number one of class two, vs. Moya, the number six of class two. Chika won this match in under ten seconds. After that match is the eighth match: Jason, the number one of class three, vs. Xander, the number six of class four. Jason won this match within a minute.

Also, while these matches were going on, Unknown was getting healed by David. In the locker room, Unknown has woken up after passing out after his match with Eldrick. He is currently surrounded by David's yellow flames.

"You know you and Kage are just a pain in my side! Most of these matches have ended quickly with few injuries, but you two!"

"I know Doc, our battles have caused you to use a lot of OGI in healing."

"Well, at least you know!"

Kage and Selena enter the locker room as David is yelling at Unknown.

"What's up Doc and Unknown!"

"And there goes the other one!"

"Oh, let me guess Doc, you got a complaint about how we fight again."

"Tch!"

David snaps his fingers, and the yellow flames surrounding Unknown disappear.

"You're all healed Unknown. I hope your match was the last one where it will be this bad today. I gotta go heal some more people now, damn it!"

David leaves the room to go heal some more students. Kage walks up to Unknown and smacks him on the back of the head.

"Nice win out there dumbass! I wasn't worried for a second! Don't worry, I'll show you the video later."

"That fucking hurt Kage! Now my head feels like it's going to mush. Wait you took a video asshole!"

Selena checked her phone to see the next match.

"Hey, you two, we should hurry back to the stands; it seems like Wayne is fighting a lower-class student named Fred."

When two of them hear what Selena says, they both scream, "Let's go!"

The three of them rush to the student stands. When they arrive, they see Liz and Akira sitting next to each other.

"Hey, Akira, has Wayne's match started yet?"

"Oh, hi, Kage. The match started a few minutes ago. Wayne is doing pretty well so far."

Kage looks to the battlefield and sees Wayne fighting a 5'6 brown-skinned boy with short brown hair. The boy is wearing a brown vest with no shirt under it and cargo pants.

"Oh, so that match is still going!"

Kage, Unknown, and Selena sit down in their seats and start watching the match. Lex then appears on Unknown's head.

"Oh, it's you, Lex. I was wondering where you were. You are here to watch Wayne's match with us, right?"

"Grrr!"

"Great!"

Both of them turn their attention to the match.

On the battlefield, Wayne has his multi-shot double-barrel pistol in his right hand and his blade in his left hand. Wayne has taken bits of damage earlier in the battle, causing him to breathe heavily.

"Wow, you're pretty durable for a level zero, but soon you will have to fall."

"Yeah, I know since I'm a level zero, taking too many hits would be bad."

"Accelerate!"

Fred vanishes and reappears next to Wayne. He then punches Wayne with the flex technique. As he flies to the other side of the field, Wayne starts to think to himself.

"This guy is pretty fast, but I don't know if I want to pull out my skates yet! It would be better if I showed them off later in the tournament so I have the element of surprise on my side."

Wayne hits the ground and then starts struggling to get up.

"Damn it! I can't move my legs!"

Wayne starts to spit up blood.

"It looks like you're finished for today, Wayne, but it makes sense you would lose; you're a level zero after all."

Fred walks up to Wayne, who is on the ground while cracking his knuckles.

"Don't worry, I'll hit you hard enough to just knock you ou—."

Suddenly, both of Fred's legs get shot. As he falls to the ground, Fred looks at Wayne and sees smoke coming out of Wayne's pistol.

"Wait, he was pretending to be hurt so he could guarantee to shoot my legs out, and I fell for it like a dumbass!"

Wayne gets up and stands over Fred, who can't stand up with his legs shot through. Wayne grips his blade and points it at Fred.

"Now I will knock you out!"

Fred starts to sweat while shaking.

"Knock out? With that anti-OGI blade, there's no way it will be a knockout! He's going to fucking kill me!"

Wayne raises his blade.

"Now this match is over!"

"I forfeit"

After Fred screams his forfeit at the top of his lungs, Mr.Zane jumps out of his special stands to the battlefield.

"The match is over!"

After Mr.Zane confirms the match is over, the crowd goes wild with excitement. Mr.David grabs the mic and screams at the top of his lungs.

"That's it, folks. The ninth match is over, and unexpectedly the level zero of class one has won!"

Fred gets taken away on a stretcher, and Wayne walks to the lower room. Mr.David instantly starts revealing the next match.

"OK, now for the tenth match!"

The match selector starts to shuffle once again. When it finishes, it reveals the next match is Paul vs. Feltzes.

"Oh, this is going to be a good one! Two of our most hyped-up contestants are going to battle it out in the next match, so stay tuned!"

Above the stands, Elias is sitting down on a chair with an angry expression.

"You better not lose this round, Paul, because I will be the one to defeat you!"
