Nubuki's past

After getting defeated by Kage Nubuki, who lies on the ground starts remembering his past.

Nubuki starts remembering events from when he was thirteen years old. At this time, Nubuki was 5'4 with little muscle definition and brown hair. His eyes were the same bright red as his in the future, and he wore a black jumpsuit. Nubuki, for his age, was a prodigy since he was not only an OGI user in Frinstion City, where OGI users are rare; he was also a level two OGI user at such a young age.

It was the middle of the day, and young Nubuki walked into a broken-down construction site that had a bloody skull painted on a flag on top of the construction site.

"Aye, is anyone here? Spatina! Brock! Jasper!"

Nubuki looks around the construction site with an angry expression on his face. Nubuki hears something move to his left and instantly looks at that place with intensity. That place explodes, and instantly two children run from that area.

"Calm down, Nubuki, it's just us!"

Nubuki looks up and sees another kid drop a bowl of water from a metal bar. Nubuki moves out of the way of the incoming bowl of water. The bowl of water hits the ground, and Nubuki yells, "Would you fools stop this nonsense?"

All three of the kids quickly run to Nubuki's front.

"Sorry Nubuki!"

These kids are Spatina, Brock, and Jasper. Spatina, at this time, wears a green jumpsuit and has short hair and pimples all over his face. Brock wears a torn-up blue jumpsuit alongside his shaggy hair. Jasper has a bowl cut and is wearing a yellow jumpsuit. At this time, all three of these kids are ten and are also orphans, just like Nubuki.

Nubuki looked at all three of them with a serious expression.

"Are you all really still playing pranks? We're supposed to be a gang, but we can't even afford to wear anything other than jumpsuits!"

Spatina raises his hand as Nubuki yells.

"What!"

"Can you make this lecture quick? I have a date in like seven minutes."

"Shut up!"

Spatina flinches as Nubuki looks at him dead in the eyes.

"Fine, I'll cut it short, but you all need to remember we can't make any waves as a gang because we only have five members and three of our members don't do anything!"

"Well, it's not like you're doing much either, and aren't you the one with all the power?"

"You want to say that louder, Jasper?"

Spatina quickly runs out of the broken-down construction site.

"Bye, y'all! I will be back with good news!"

Brock looks at Spatina as he leaves.

"I'm usually the one that gets all the girls, so how the hell did Spatina's ugly ass get a date? Something is weird."

Brock walks up to Nubuki.

"Aye, Bro. Des said he wants to talk to you at the top."

"Alright, thank you."

Nubuki starts climbing to the top of the constitution site, where he sees someone sitting on the edge looking at the sunset. This man is named Des, and he is the leader of the current Frinstion gang. He is a 5'6 white-skinned man who is also in a black jumpsuit. He has short blue hair and a happy expression on his face.

"What do you need, Des?"

"Shh! The sun is still setting!"

Des lost his entire family to an OGI user and was put into Frinstion City's orphanage system. There, he met Nubuki, Jasper, Brock, and Spatina. The five of them escaped the system and created the Frinstion gang. Since Des is sixteen and the oldest, he became the leader.

The sun has completely set, and Des is ready to talk to Nubuki.

"Ok, bro, let's talk!"

"Why the hell do you watch the sun every day?"

Nubuki takes a seat next to Des.

"Well, I use it to soothe my soul. With everything that has happened, it feels good to feel some type of warmth. But now what I wanted to talk to you about."

"???"

"You know why I created this gang, right?"

"You created it because a guy at the orphanage told you that someone weak would never be able to rise to the top."

"Yep, and I remember when I first told you this and you called me an idiot."

"And I still think you're an idiot."

"Well, you might be right, but who needs power when you have friends who are powerful?"

"What?"

"Nubuki, you're the only OGI user in this gang so far, and you're a powerful one too. The killer gang is the most powerful gang in this city, and I plan to take them down one day."

"And how do you plan to do that? with dreams?"

"Nope, I plan to do it with my weapon."

"Did you really just call me a weapon?"

"You joined this gang despite thinking my ideas are dumb, which tells me you want to see me take over the underworld."

"Tch, I just think someone as weak as you ruling the underworld would be cool to watch. Plus, the only thing I know about myself is that my parents abandoned me, and my name is Nubuki."

 "Haha!"

Nubuki punches Des in the shoulder.

"Sorry! Sorry! It's just that you said it so calmly, dude."

Nubuki smiles as Des laughs.

"I'll help you reach your dream of ruling the underworld, but without power, you probably will die before seeing the dream come true."

"Nah, man, I got you by my side, so I can't lose!"

Des puts out his fist for a fist bump.

"Fine, but just one time."

Nubuki gives Des a fistbump, signifying their resolve to reach their goals.

On the other side of the city, there's a broken-down mansion. At the top of the mansion, a 6'1 white-skinned man with bright red hair and a red suit is in conversation with a man in a black suit. This man is named Marcus, and he's the leader of the top gang in Frinstion City.

"Sir, there's a new gang called the Frinstion gang who might pose a problem for us in the future."

"I heard of that gang already; it's only five children. They will die to another gang before even getting a chance to step to us."

"But sir, there's one child in the gang that might be a problem."

"Oh, really, and what's so great about him?"

"He's an OGI user with explosion powers."

"Wait, a level two OGI user at such a young age. This might be a problem."

"Don't worry, sir. We have assessed that this man must be the leader of the gang, so we set a trap to lure him to us."

"Good! Make sure that child doesn't survive, no matter what."

"Right!"

At a restaurant in the middle of the city, Spatina is on a date with a 5'7 light-skinned girl with orange hair and an orange dress.

"Thanks for paying for the date, Alexa! And I know you already know this, but you're absolutely stunning!"

"Oh, you're so sweet, Spatina, but now that this date is coming to an end, I have a question."

"Yes, what is it, my sweet?"

"You're part of a gang, right?"

"Well, yeah, and we're going to take over one day."

"Well, I want to be a part of it. Do you think you could introduce me to your leader tomorrow?"

"Of course, my sweet! I'll go ask him right now!"

Spatina starts running out of the restaurant while waving bye to Alexa. The second he leaves the restaurant, Alexa's face turns disgusted.

"Such a gullible, ugly little shit!"

The very next day, four hours after the sun rose, Des and Spatina were walking not too far from their base.

"I don't understand what you need, Spatina! Someone wants to join our gang?"

"Yes, I'm serious; just hurry up; she's amazing!"

"I don't know, man, something feels weird about this."

The both of them turn a corner and instantly see Alexa.

"There she is, Des; come on! I'm coming, my love!"

As Spatina runs towards Alexa, a bunch of people in suits surround him."

"Spatina!"

"My sweet, what are you doing?"

"Stop calling me those dumb names, you ugly fuck!"

After hearing those words, Spatina's heart instantly broke.

"What do you mean?"

Des pushes through one of the gang members.

"Get out of here, Spatina, and get Nubuki! I'll hold them back!"

Des throws Spatina out of the circle of gang members.

"But Des!"

"Go!"

Spatina starts running towards the Frinstiom gang base. After Spatina is safe, Des looks towards Alexa.

"So I'm guessing you all are the killer gang, but attacking a group of kids seems low for you!"

"You talk big, but we know your power, Nubuki, so you have to go."

Alexa snaps her fingers, and all the gang members pull out submachine guns.

"Nubuki? Oh, I see they assumed Nubuki was the leader because he's so strong. Well, if he were in my current situation, he would have had enough power to fight his way out, but unfortunately for me, I don't have that luxury. I'm sorry, Nubuki; it seems your statement was right after all."

All of the gang members pull the trigger, and bullets start flying out of all their guns. Des's body gets filled with bullets, killing him in turn.

"Okay, the job is done. Let's go back and report to the boss!"

"Right!"

All the gang members, including Alexa, leave. About four minutes later, Nubuki and the rest discover Des's lifeless body on the ground. Brock and Jasper scream, "Des, no!"

Both of them start crying over Des's body while Nubuki looks at his body in shock.

"How could this happen?"

Spatina runs to Nubuki's side with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Nubuki; it's all my fault. I trusted that dumbass woman, and..."

"Who did this to him?"

Everybody looks at Nubuki with a face of shock as tears of sadness slide down his face.

Nubuki looks at Des's face and notices that an image of a heart with a knife pushed through it has been drawn on it.

"The killer gang!"

Nubuki starts walking away from the group. Brock sees this and says, "Where are you going? We have to bury his body!"

"And we will, but I'm making sure his killers don't get a chance for a funeral!"

As Nubuki walks away, Spatina's mind starts racing.

"This is all my fault! Des listened to me! Wait, no, it's not my fault; it's that woman's fault; she tricked me!"

Spatina gets up and starts following Nubuki.

"I'm going to fucking kill her!"

About twenty minutes later, in the killer gang mansion, the boss gets an update from Alexa.

"Good job, Alexa. That's one less worr—"

The door to the mansion blew open with an explosion from Nubuki. Nubuki walks into the mansion and looks around. He sees nothing but gang members in the mansion.

The boss runs to the entrance of the mansion and instantly sees Nubuki at the front.

"What the hell?"

The boss looks directly over to Alexa.

"I thought you said you killed that man!"

"I did, but that's not him!"

"Yes, it is you, dumbass!"

The boss punches Alexa in the face and starts running to the back of the mansion.

"I'm out of here!"

"Boss wait!"

The second she says that Alexa gets smacked in the head with a pipe by Spatina, who has an angry expression on his face.

"I finally found you, dumb woman!"

Alexa hits the ground and is unable to move after being hit by the pipe.

"You think you can sit there and trick me, you bitch? Thanks to you, I'll never trust another woman again! Now I'm going to make sure you suffer!"

"Wait, sweety ple—"

Spatina starts hitting Alexa in the head with a pipe over and over.

"I don't want to hear any more of your lies!"

Spatina continues doing this for three minutes. Alexa's face is beaten so badly that it's not even recognizable.

While Spatina beats Alexa to death, Nubuki kills most of the gang members with his powers. The gang members start to run away. Nubuki grabs one of the gang members before he can run. Nubuki looks him in the eye.

"Where the hell is your boss?"

"Hehe, go to hell!"

An explosion happens next to the gang member's face, killing him.

"You're all worthless weaklings! You have no power to fight against me! You will all bow to my power! So come on out, you coward!"

Nubuki started destroying every floor of the mansion in search of the boss, but never found him. He continued his rampage until the mansion was nothing but rubble.

Brock, Spatina, and Jasper walked into the middle of the rubble and bodies to find Nubuki crying.

"You were wrong; power is everything! If you had more power, then you would still be alive, and we would have taken over the world by now! I'm sorry I can't follow your path, Des because I refuse to be taken over by weakness."

The sun started to set, and Nubuki instantly started to stare at it. Brock notices this and asks, "What are you looking at, Nubuki?"

"The Sunset"

"What?"

"The sunset is so soothing."

After remembering this moment, Nubuki wakes up in the present.

Nubuki looks at his surroundings and sees that he's in the back of a huge police car. He looks through the window and sees Grava City police officers and cars surrounding the entire area.

"Well,  it seems like even the powerful can fall."

In the front seat of the police car, a mysterious woman with glasses says, "You will be very useful to L.T.O. Nubuki."
