Battle on Two Fronts

On the beach, Death has been walking around for seven minutes, looking at the watch on her wrist.

"This map is so confusing. Nisugi said the closer I get, the easier it will be to find it, but it doesn't feel any easier. Hehe, but if I find one, that will mean me and Hunter will be tied, and maybe then he will stop being scared of me."

Death walks past Akira without her noticing.

"Wow, this sun is so amazing!"

After hearing Akiras scream, Death walks back over to her and looks her directly in the face. Akira feels a quick chill go down her spine.

"Woah, what was that? It feels kind of cold!"

With a creepy smile on her face, Death moves closer to Akira and starts hugging her tightly. As she hugs her, Death starts to think to herself.

"She's so cute! That orange hair and those gorgeous eyes—everything about her is exquisite."

Even with Dearh hugging her tightly, Akira still doesn't notice she's there. Eventually, after three minutes, Death lets go of Akira and walks off.

"I need to focus on the mission. If Nisugui finds out I fumbled to find a dagger, she will kick me out of L.T.O. We can't have that, can we?"

Death walks over to Mr.Mink and Unknown, who are sitting next to the water. She stands right behind them without being noticed. She starts to listen to their conversation.

"So, Mr. Mink, what do you think is down in that sea cave?"

"Well, considering that it blocked us out and only allowed three of us to enter, my theory is that the ghost knight is protecting a crown with my name on it!"

"Tch, you're talking like Kage now!"

"Well, that sea cave seems so uptight, so I feel it's impossible to guess what's down there. So just sit tight, Unknown I know you're a person who likes to worry a lot, but sometimes you just have to sit back and wait for something to happen."

"Oh alright."

After hearing their conversation, Death starts to think to herself.

"An underwater sea cave here? Is that why I can't find it because it's hidden in that sea cave? Maybe I should get more information."

Death stops thinking to herself and says, "Hey, you two?"

"Ahh!"

Both Unknown and Mr.Mink jump away from Death after finally realizing she's there.

After jumping away from her Unknown looks at Death but quickly feels her ominous presence.

"What the hell is this? Just the feeling of her presence feels creepy, almost like cold, decaying hands are grabbing me from all directions. This woman is powerful, so how the hell was she able to sneak up on both me and Mr.Mink? Is it speed?"

Akira also finally sees Death standing next to Unknown and Mr.Mink.

"This can't be good!"

Underwater in the sea cave, the so-called ghost knight has shown himself to Kage, Tota, and Selena.

"So this is the ghost knight Mr.Mink was talking about!"

"Hey, Selena, what should we do?"

"Hmm, that knight seems to have the same glow as the arrows from before. Hey Kage, this might actually be a ghost knight."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Try throwing something at it."

"Bet!"

Kage shoots an energy beam at the knight, but the beam goes right through it.

"You got to be fucking kidding me! What now, Selena?"

"It seems whatever those arrows were made of this knight is also made of making it impossible to hit him, but he can hit us perfectly fine. It can even go straight through barriers and still hit its target. This is weird because, from my understanding of a ghost, a ghost can neither be touched nor touch. Maybe there's a possibility that this isn't a ghost, like the rumors said.

"Ahhh!"

Selena quickly moves out of the way of Kage, who has just been thrown by the knight. Kage goes flying into the wall and then falls to the ground.

"What the hell? That punch didn't even feel like it made contact, but it still hurt, just like those arrows from before. Selena, watch out; this thing packs a punch."

"I know, Kage, I will be careful."

Selena starts walking toward the knight. Tota quickly runs out of the middle of them.

"This battle looks completely out of my expertise area."

Tota goes behind a tree and starts writing in his journal.

"I guess I'll just start writing about this ghost knight."

Tota starts writing in his journal. At the same time, Selena started walking towards the knight.

"In a situation like this one, it is important to be as observant as possible, especially when you're fighting an opponent that looks untouchable. Just like the first room, there is something that most people would miss, but I won't be that person."

The knight pulls a ghost-like sword from its body.

"You're not worthy!"

Selena rushes towards the knight. She ducks under the knight's sword. She spins around the knight and looks at its back. When she looks at its back, she sees some writing.

"Only three are needed. The number three again, just like the first level and the entrance. This entire sea cave seems to revolve around the number three."

Selena jumps away from the knight, but then the knight pulls out a chain from his body. The chain has a spinning blade attached to it. The knight starts swinging the chain at Selena. She gracefully dodges the chain over and over again until she returns to Kage's side.

"It's time to get up, Kage; we have a long fight ahead of us."

"Oh, so you noticed as well!"

Kage gets up off the ground and gets into a fighting stance.

"I already tried my mind manipulation on this thing, and it has zero brain activity. Your energy beams have no effect either, and our physical attacks won't do us any good."

"So do you have a plan, or are you just going to keep telling me how fucked we are?"

"I know that writing on his back is important, but I haven't put all of the clues together yet."

"Well, I guess we will be running around until you figure it out because I know I'm not figuring it out. I'm putting my full trust in you, Selena!"

After hearing those words, Selena started to think to herself.

"Oh, he trusts me well. I better make sure I don't disappoint."

While Kage and Selena take on the ghost knight on the beach above them, the rest of Class One are dealing with Death's sudden appearance.

Akira jumps out of her seat and starts putting on her clothes.

"Damn it, why does trouble have to find us when I'm enjoying my sunbathing?"

Death starts slowly walking towards Mr.Mink, who is on her right.

"Hello, kind sir, can you be a dear and tell me about that sea cave you two were just talking about?"

"Wait a minute, how long were you standing behind us?"

Death puts her hand on her chin while she thinks.

"Two, three, maybe four minutes. Hehe, I don't know; I wasn't counting."

"What! There's no way she could have been standing behind us for that long. I've been making sure to use my sense technique constantly in case the others come out of the water. If she had stepped foot on this beach, I would have sensed her instantly. Especially with how slowly she walks, to get to us, she would have had to walk past Akira. That's impossible unless..."

Mr.Mink looks at death with a face of intensity.

"Oh, scary!"

"I get what you're doing; now you're using the sneak technique!"

Unknown hears Mr. Minks's statement and says, "Wait, another level one technique!"

"Yes, and this technique is an extremely rare one. The sneak technique is when you push OGI into your heart, but instead of speeding your heart rate up, you use OGI to slow down your heartbeat. When you do that, you enter a state of "temporary death." Your body becomes completely invisible to all human senses, even when someone is using the sense technique. Even cameras can't detect someone who uses the sneak technique at a high level."

Death starts to clap her hands together while giggling.

"Hehehe, yes, good job. You know your stuff, but when it comes to me, I don't use the sneak technique."

"???"

"The sneak technique is a part of my soul. I've become so good at the sneak technique that I constantly activate it on accident. So sometimes I don't even notice that no one knows I'm there. It makes it hard to hold a conversation, especially since I scare everyone the second I speak."

After hearing her speak, Mr.Mink becomes suspicious.

"What is your name, little girl?"

"Oh right, I probably should introduce myself."

Death starts twirling around like a ballerina. She then stops and smiles creepily.

"I forgot my original name, but my name right now is feared legend Death!"

After Death reveals her identity, Unknown, Mr.Mink, and Akira are left with shocked faces. Mr.Mink smiles and says, "I was afraid so."

"Awww, what gave it away?"

"I heard Death had gray and black hair with green eyes. I also heard she looked like a corpse."

"Hehe, you're a funny one, but I don't have time for jokes right now, so answer my question from before."

"And if I don't?"

The second Mr.Mink finishes his sentence, a hand pops out of the sand under him. Mr.Mink looks back to Death and notices multiple hands coming out of the sand around her.

"Hehe, well, if you refuse, then I'll just have to get my answers from your corpse."
