Battle for respect finale part two

The battlefield has been completely engulfed in a cold mist. Kage uses energy jet to fly out of the mist. When he's out, he notices the left side of his body has been frozen.

"Damn it, he's doing that thing he did in his battle with Aurora. I need to get rid of this ice!"

Kage starts to recall some words Selena said to him while they were training for the tournament.

"There's a lot of different types of energy."

"I practiced this one right here just for you Seth!"

Kage's body starts to get a hot red outline.

"Heat energy manipulation!"

Kage's body heat starts to rise higher and higher. While his body heat rises, Kage starts to sweat.

"Can this ice melt already?"

The ice on Kage's body starts to slowly melt.

"Tch, even with me increasing my body heat, the ice is taking forever to melt!"

From the mist on the battlefield, a shard of ice shoots out and hits Kage's foot. This throws Kage's balance off, and he starts descending back to the battlefield.

"You've got to be kidding me!"

Kage forms two balls of energy in his hand and shoots them both into the sky.

"Ok, if you want a fight, I'll give it to you!"

The mist on the battlefield finally disappears, and it reveals the battlefield has completely turned into an icy terrain. Glaciers have been scattered all around the battlefield. Giant ice towers are placed all across the field, and ice particles are flowing through the wind.

"Welcome to my icy zone. I hope you don't mind me getting an amp in my powers at this time in the battle."

"Ha, you think I give a shit about a little amp in some ice powers dumbass!"

Kage starts to increase the body heat in his right hand and starts punching the ice on his leg. Kage breaks the ice, and then he uses energy jet to soften his fall.

"Oh, so you control heat now!"

"Maybe if you opened up a book, you would learn a little about heat energy dumbass!"

The very second Kage says this Unknown who is on the sidelines, says, "He cannot be the one saying that."

Kage opens his mouth and releases a huge blast of energy.

"Energy canon!"

Seth uses the ice under him to create a huge block of ice in front of him. Seth uses the block of ice to defend against the energy canon.

"Ha, sorry, but I have strengthened my ice manipulation to the point where attacks like those won't do anything!"

Kage uses the accelerate technique to get behind Seth.

"Oh shut up!"

Kage shoots multiple beams of energy at Seth while at the same time using the accelerate technique to run at him.

"You keep forgetting I have the advantage in this battle!"

Seth levitates blocks of ice into the sky and throws them in the way of the incoming beams of energy. At the same time, he also uses the accelerate technique to rush towards Kage.

"Are you sure you want to take me head-on, idiot?"

Kage jumps up and throws a kick at Seth. Seth quickly evades the attack.

"You might be better than me in hand-to-hand, but remember, this is my field!"

When Kage lands on the ground, he instantly slips on the ice.

Seth takes advantage and kicks Kage as he's falling, which causes him to go flying into an ice glacier. Kage quickly breaks out of the glacier, but Seth is already chasing him down.

When Seth gets in front of Kage, he swings his arm at him with the flex technique applied. Kage parries the attack and counters with an elbow to the chin. Then he tackles Seth to the ground and instantly jumps back up. With Seth on the ground, Kage applies the flex technique to his arm muscles and attempts to punch Seth's head on the ice. Seth looks at Kage's legs and quickly spins himself on the ice, avoiding the attack and making Kage fall on the ice as well.

"Shit!"

Kage feels spikes of ice coming from the ice under him and starts rolling to avoid them. Even with him rolling away, the spikes of ice follow him.

"The spikes keep following me! If I stop rolling, I'll get stabbed for sure."

"Well, too bad for you; you will stop rolling!"

Seth makes a huge piece of ice rise right behind Kage. When he runs into the piece of ice, he completely stops rolling and gets stabbed by multiple ice spikes.

"You're finished, you fake!"

Seth uses his powers to make four towers of ice float and slam them all on Kage at once.

"Crush!"

Seth slams his hands together, and the towers of ice slam against each other so hard that they all break into many pieces.

"Ha, what have you got to say now?"

Before Seth can get too excited, a scream comes from the clutter of ice Seth just made with the four ice towers.

"Rahhh!"

Kage combines a huge burst of energy and heat to blow all the ice around him away and melt it at the same time.

"Don't think you've won shit!"

With a massive amount of energy still emitting from his body, Kage slams his right palm on the ground.

"Energy pillar!"

"Shit!"

From the sky, a huge pillar of energy comes down and slams into Seth.

"Ahh!"

After this, Kage lets out a huge exhale and, with a vicious look in his eyes, goes back on the offensive.

Kage uses energy jet to fly to the other side of the battlefield that has been torn apart by his energy pillar.

"I know you're not down yet!"

As Kage flies in, he sees Seth, who has cuts, bruises and his clothes in ruins.

"There you are! If you think you're going to slam ice all over me and get away with it, you're brain dead!"

Seth hears Kage coming and forms a long shard of ice in his hand.

"For fuck's sake, you're annoying!"

With Seth fully prepared to counter, Kage stops using energy jet right in front of him.

"What! Why did he stop?"

A small ball of energy forms on the right side of Kage's stomach.

"You know, when I made energy jet, it was only for movement purposes, but after training it for so long, I saw more!"

The small ball of energy blasts Kage to the left of Seth.

"I can form small balls of energy anywhere on my body, so I thought, why don't I take this movement thing to a whole new level?"

A ball of energy forms on Kage's back and blasts him forward.

"So many more options! Sharp turns I couldn't make with only a constant blast from my feet!"

A small ball of energy forms on the left side of his stomach.

"Now I can get around an opponent while still being in the air!"

The small ball of energy blasts Kage to the right, which makes him back-to-back with Seth.

"And they wouldn't even know what hit them!"

A small ball of energy forms on Kage's left elbow.

Seth quickly turns around.

"Well, thanks for talking so long; now I can att—"

Seth gets punched in the face by Kage, who not only applied the flex technique to his arm muscles but also had a constant blast of energy push his fist into his face.

"Oh, right, this new strategy also allows me to make my punches quicker and hit harder!"

As Seth is flying to the other side of the field, he creates a chain of ice and freezes one of its ends to Kage's legs. Seth hits the wall hard, causing a few of his bones to crack.

"Fuck!"

Three of Seth's top teeth and four of his bottom teeth spill out of his mouth.

"That bastard ruined perfect teeth! Now you've done it!"

Seth pulls the ice chain in his hand as hard as he can, which causes Kage to be pulled towards him.

To his surprise, Kage speedily gets pulled right to Seth.

"You don't give up, do you?"

"Against you, never!"

Seth slams his hand on the ice, and multiple curving shards of ice come out of the ground.

"Tch!"

Kage swings his hands downward, but then the ice shards hit him in his right rib, left leg, and many minor areas.

"Now down!"

Seth uses the ice stabbed into Kage's body to slam him down on the ice.

"Fuck!"

Kage starts to bleed from his wounds, but even then, he smiles.

"Energy pillar!"

"Another one!"

Another huge energy pillar comes from the sky and slams into Seth.

The force from the energy pillar blows Kage away from danger, while Seth takes massive damage from the energy pillar.

With the entire field frozen and in a wreck, Seth lies down on the ice with blood spilling from his many wounds. As he tastes the blood leaking from his head, Seth looks up and sees Kage walking toward him. With his vision blurry, Seth starts talking to himself.

"Am I about to lose to him again? In front of everyone? In front of father?"

Seth's legs start to shake.

"I can't move my legs! No! Get up now! He's not above you! No one is above you. Right?"

Seth's mind starts to drift to a long time ago, when he was a child, on an important day. The day of his mother's death.

"I'm the best, right, Mother?"
