Arrogance Vs. True Arrogance Part Two

The party that Alexander's dad took him to was called "the green party." It was named that because it was an annual gathering for all the richest people in the world. This specific year, it was held at Sato's family mansion.

Alexander, who was nine years old at the time, walked into the mansion with his father. His father is white-skinned with long, luscious gold hair, coming in at the height of 6'3. He wore a golden suit, which marched with Alexander, who was wearing a downsized version of it. Kira and Alexander are instantly met by Akira and Emiko's father, Chris.

"Hello Kira, It's been a while since you didn't come last year."

"Yes, I had business to take care of at the time."

Kira looks behind Chris and sees Akira, who is also nine at the time.

"Oh, hello, Akira. You've grown so big since the last time I saw you!"

"Go on Akira, don't be rude."

"Umm hi!"

"Hey Chris where's your other daughter? Her name was Emiko, right?"

"She is locked in her room; I don't need her embarrassing me, and that is not my daughter."

"I see you are still the same as usual. Hey, Chris, how about we leave the children to themselves and talk? Ronald is here as well."

"Oh, you don't see him often; let's go. Alexander make sure to play nice."

When the two adults leave, Akira tires saying hi to Alexander but gets a cold stare instead. When she sees Alexander's cold expression, she becomes discouraged and walks away.

About ten minutes later, Alexander started walking around the mansion.

"This party is so boring; why does my father keep dragging me to these things?"

"Hey, I just want some cake!"

When Alexander looks to where the noise is coming from, he sees Seth who was eight years old at the time. Seth is standing in front of the mansion's kitchen with flour all over his body.

"Hey, this is unfair! Do you know who my father is?"

The girl in front of the kitchen door smiles at Seth and closes the door. Once this happens, Seth falls to the ground and starts flailing his arms.

"Those stupid idiots will regret it once I tell my dad!"

Alexander walks up to Seth and says, "Pitiful."

"Can you believe it?"

"Huh?"

"Those stupid idiots won't let me get a taste of the cake early; do they not know who my dad is?"

"And who is your dad?"

"Ha! Just the richest person on the planet."

Alexander smirks after hearing Seth's statement.

"No way the revolutionary Ronald's son is you!"

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

"But you're fighting for something you believe belongs to you, which shows you're not a brokie. So you want to get that cake."

Seth looks at the smirk on Alexander's face and starts smiling.

"Yeah!"

About 2 minutes later, Seth, Alexander, and the cake are on a cart with wheels. The cart is rolling around the mansion at great speed.

"What's going on, Alexander? How are we going to stop the cart?"

"Haha! Who cares! Death to all brokies!"

Seth starts to cry as the cart speeds up.

"Stop your crying, Seth; we are the exc—"

Suddenly, the cart gets caught on a carpet and crashes in the middle of the mansion's entrance. The cake falls on the two boys, completely covering them in it. The two boys look at each other and start laughing.

"There's cake all over your face!"

"Hey, there's cake all over your face too!"

All the adults ran to the entrance to attend to the situation.

Later that day, when Alexander makes it back home, his father asks to have a conversation with him after he gets out of the shower. Alexander enters Kira's room while he's working.

"The maid told me you wanted to talk to me, father."

"Yes, I did. I see you made friends with the kid of Ronald."

"Oh yeah, I guess I did. I didn't believe he was the son of Ronald at first, but I guess he is. Haha!"

"Do you know what the meaning of a broke person is?"

"Yes, of course, it means someone who has no money!"

"No!"

Alexander flinches after hearing his father yell.

"You might define it as that, but I don't. A broke person is someone who is a waste of space. A person who can be satisfied, a person who is selfless, a person who lets emotions poison their mind."

"Father, what do you mean?"

"I have been in competition with Ronald for the richest person for years, but I've always had respect for him. But what makes me want to surpass him are his ideals. He believes being the richest is about helping the less fortunate, because, according to him, that's what we powerful are here for. Well, I'm telling you right now, Alexander, he is wrong! Helping people diminishes your own ambitions, and that's how it's been since the start of time! That's why I will dethrone him. A man like him doesn't deserve to be on top. Now tell me, Alexander, do you want to be broke?"

"No, father, never!"

"Then you realize what you must do right?"

Alexander's facial expression becomes desperate.

"No father, Seth, is different; he isn't broke!"

"You will see soon enough son and when you do, you'll have to make a decision."

After this conversation, Seth and Alexander continued hanging out together until eventually they became inseparable. Three years later, when Seth is eleven and Alexander is twelve, both of them met up on the north side of Grava City. The place they are at is a broken-down bakery. Alexander jumps on top of the roof, where Seth is.

"This place is giving off a lot of brokness, Seth. What did you call me here for?"

"Well I just needed someone to talk to, and you were the only one I could think of."

"Don't be weird, dumbass. What do you want?"

"Well, you see I've been feeling this way for a long time, and I have spent a lot of time trying to live up to my father's name, but for some reason I just can't do it. I constantly disappoint him, and I do admit it's my fault, but I just want him at least to believe in me!"

"Just become one of the richest people on the planet, just like him. You don't need to become some crazy OGI user to do that."

"Yeah, but as his son, people expect me to become some all-powerful deity or something."

"Who cares about them? They are all just brokies who need something to do."

Alexander looks over to Seth and sees that he is crying.

"But the other day, he told me he didn't expect much from me! Like, what is that supposed to mean? Am I that much of a disappointment? Maybe it's time for me to just give up."

As Seth pours out his heart, Alexander starts to remember some words from his father.

"A broke person means someone who is a waste of space. A person who can be satisfied, a person who is selfless, a person who lets emotions poison their mind. You will see soon enough, son, and when you do, you'll have to make a decision."

Alexander stands up after remembering these words.

"I was hoping he wouldn't be right, but of course I had to be wrong."

"Alexander wait!"

Seth gets up and tries to grab Alexander by the shoulder.

"Unhand me, you broke emotional bitch!"

Alexander turns around and smacks Seth with the back of his hand. Seth grabs his face and cries even more.

"Why Alexanader?"

"It's people like you who poison this world! The world was made for people like us to stomp on the bums under us, but you have let dumb emotions like those turn you into the ones were supposed to step all over! Never talk to me again; you are a disgusting! pathetic! Brokie!"

Alexander walks away from Seth, and after that, their relationship was never the same. Alexander uses the next few years to put Seth down as much as possible. He stole all his friends, stole all five of his first girlfriends, and made everyone in the rich community see Seth as a joke."

After remembering this, Alexander's mind returns to the present. With Seth walking towards him, Alexander's OGI starts to fluctuate. Alexander looks into Seth's eyes and sees nothing but a cold stare.

"Why are you looking at me like that? You think you're better than me? Haha! I own you, you pathetic brokie! Don't you dare look down on me!"

Alexander spends ten thousand dollars to heal his injuries, and he spends a billion dollars to increase his overall power.

"What the hell!"

Alexander rushes at Seth.

Seth throws a block of ice at Alexander, which gets dodged easily. When Alexander gets in front of Seth, he punches him in the right arm so hard that it breaks a bone. 

"Ahh!"

Alexander throws two more punches that break one of his ribs.

"How do you like that, brokie!"

Seth spits out blood and freezes Alexander's chest before he gets punched in the neck.

"Ahh!"

Alexander shoves Seth to the ground and starts hitting him in the face with both of his elbows.

In the student stands, Kage walks up to Aurora.

"Aye, Aurora, you know Alexander pretty well, right?"

"Unfortunately"

"Well, I don't get it. Seth was just on top a minute ago, but now he's losing, and Alexander somehow got stronger without any type of OGI flow switch."

"Well, first of all, even though Seth expanded his OGI tank, he used it all up pretty quickly with that last onslaught of attacks. Gotta admit his OGI capacity is pretty low."

"Ok, but what about Alexander?"

"Alexander's power, "band for band" is strong, but it isn't all powerful. If he asks for the same thing in the same hour, he will have to pay extra. Also, the crazier the request, the more money he has to spend. What Alexander just did was increase strength, speed, senses, etc but it looks like he's going insane from power now. Which means he doesn't care about his own wellbeing right now."

"So Seth is going to lose?"

"You seem pretty worried about him."

"Nah, I would be sad if I couldn't beat his ass myself!"

"Well, there's one weakness only Seth can take advantage of; let's see if he can notice it."

On the battlefield, Seth's face has been left bloody after taking elbows to the face.

"Damn it I barely have any OGI now; it seems using all that OGI before really backfired."

"Yes, go to sleep now brokie; nobody can beat band for band!"

Before Seth's eyes can close, he mutters something to himself.

"Band for band? Wait, that's it!"

Seth touches the ground and uses ice to force Alexander to back up.

"You still have fight in you,huh!"

"Hey auctioner remove all of Alexander's buffs!"

After Seth makes his request, the auctioner appears with a price of two billion dollars on the screen. In the student stands, Aurora says, "It looks like he finally figured it out. Alexander's power is called band-for-band because his opponents can outbid his request, and since Seth's dad is the richest person on the planet, the winner should be clear."

The auctioner shakes up and down, and instantly all of Alexander's buffs are removed.

"Wait, let me try to outbid him du—!"

Seth throws a huge block of ice at Alexander's head, which completely knocks him out.

"Who's the broke bitch now, Alexander?"

With blood leaking from all over his body, Seth passes out.

"The winner of the fourteenth match is Seth!"
