A Fight Between Sisters

After Seth and Alexander's battle in the fourteenth round, they were both taken to the resting area to be treated by David. After so much excitement, the crowd became restless for the next match. Mr.Brown starts to announce the next matches.

"That was an exciting match folks! Was I the only one at the edge of my seat? What about you Principal? How do you feel about that battle?"

"I will admit it was a spectacular battle between Seth and Alexander, but I do have a comment. While both were amazing fighters the reason Seth won was because Alexander slipped up."

"And what do you mean by this principal?"

"Well, for most of the battle, Alexander had the advantage since his powers allowed him to change the circumstances of the battle at any time. Even with his lack of OGI control, he is still formidable with that power. Now the reason he lost is because he lost his cool at the end. He could have done many things with his powers like changing the field to Seth's disadvantage, or he could have done something to throw Seth off, but instead, he chose to get stronger and attack like a wild animal, allowing Seth to strike back. He let his pride get in the way, which is why he lost."

"Oh, great analogy like usual Principal. Now we are nearing the end of the day, so let's hurry up and get to these last matches."

The screen starts to shuffle the last four fighters in the tournament. In the student stands Selena looks over to Akira and notices that she is sweating while biting her fingernails.

"Akira I know how you feel, but if you two get put up against each other, you will have to fight her."

"No, you don't know how I feel!"

Everyone in the student stands looks over to Akira.

"You will never understand! How much more suffering do I have to put her through?"

The screen finishes shuffling, and the last two matches are Aurora vs. Harazuno, the number five of class two, in the fifteenth match, and Akira vs. her sister Emiko in the sixteenth match. When Akira sees who she's facing, she grabs her hair, and her face looks like she's on the verge of tears.

"Why does it always end up like this? Why am I forced to make her suffer?"

Unknown walks over to Akira and puts his fist out.

"Aye, Akira, all of class one so far has made it past the first round and I know you'll make it past the first round no matter the circumstances."

"Hehe yeah"

Akira walks past Unknown and starts running away.

"Hey Akira!"

Kage grabs Unknown's shoulder before he can go chasing after her.

"Dude I know how you are, and I'm telling you right now that in this situation it's best to leave her alone."

"But!"

Unknown turns around and sees the seriousness in Kage's eyes.

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

Aurora gets out of her seat and walks past the two boys.

"Well I'm the next match, so I will be off."

Kai says, "Good luck! make class four proud."

Aurora gives a thumbs up in response. On the other side of the stadium near the entrance to the right corner of the battlefield, Emiko is sitting in wait for her match.

"What are the chances I would get matched with her? I don't care if I don't have access to level two; I will destroy her in this match and force Father to grovel at my feet and apologize."

"Wow, those are some pretty evil thoughts you have."

When Emiko looks to where she heard the voice come from, she sees Alexander, who has bandages all over his body.

"Oh, it's just you. Didn't you lose your match against Seth?"

"Oh wow, so you weren't watching."

"Of course not. I don't care about your stupid fight over money."

"Well I did lose, and Doc said he was running low on OGI so he said he would take care of the rest of my injuries later."

"What do you want Alexander?"

"Nothing I just have a lot on my mind after losing that match, so I was walking around and I ran into you."

"Ha, what happened to that little rich attitude you had before? Don't tell me that battle changed you."

"Haha, what are you talking about, brokie?"

"There it is!"

"Well since I lost the match I'm going to give the whole rich thing a rest for now. Well, at least until I get my thoughts together. I heard you're about to fight your sister."

"It won't be a fight. I will destroy her no matter what."

"Dang I guess you two aren't on good terms."

"Haha worse than that. You know she's adopted, right?"

"Oh, I guess that explains why you two look so different from each other."

"She's adopted, but blood doesn't mean anything to Father. All that matters is power and potential investments. I want to break Father's little toy so he can feel the pain I felt all those years."

"Scary, but I wonder, is this how Seth felt after everything I did to him?"

On the other side of the stadium, Akira is hiding inside a closet, watching her favorite anime in an attempt to calm herself down.

"Haha Puffy is so funny. Too bad he dies in the next arc."

Akira gets a notification on her phone telling her Aurora won her match against Harazuno.

"I guess that means my fight is up next, but I don't want to go. Maybe I can just hide in this closet. Yeah, I can just hide. I don't have to go out there. Someone else will get the dagger back for class one; they don't need me."

Akira starts to remember what Paul said at the beginning of the tournament.

"We will win back our dagger no matter what. We can't lose because we are class one. Now roar, class one!"

"Yeah!"

She then starts to remember all the battles class one went through in the first round.

"All those battles they went through. They all put their hearts into them so we can all reach our goals, and look at me—I'm ready to just quit because of my issues! How selfish can I be?"

Akira opens the closet door and starts walking to the right corner of the battlefield. Akira starts to remember the words Unknown said to her earlier.

"I'm sorry for all the suffering I've put you through, Emiko, but I can't let my class down, or I will be nothing but a burden forever."

As she gets closer to the battlefield, she sees her father, Chris Sato, standing in the hallway.

"Father, what are you doing here?"

"I'm making sure the job is finished correctly."

"What job?"

"I've been trying to drive Emiko out of Grava Acadamy ever since she joined against my wishes."

"Wait but why?"

"You know why! She's a pure waste of my blood; it disgusts me to know she still wants to make something of herself. Weaklings with low potential like her shouldn't even try to, especially OGI users."

"But father if sh—"

Akira!"

Akira flinches after hearing Chris scream.

"I paid the person running the shuffleboard to match you up together."

Akira's face becomes drained of all emotions when she hears what Chris says.

"What! But why?"

"Because I know I can trust you with this job. I want you to break that girl so hard to the point where she will give up on being an OGI user and look for something else to do. She doesn't deserve a dream-like finding level three. Dreams are only for those talented enough to achieve them."

"What do you mean by break?"

"This isn't that hard to understand. I want you to break her bones, mind, and spirit. With how powerful you are, it should be easy."

"But if you don't care for Emiko at all, why do you want her to give up on her dreams?"

"Simple, people who chase dreams with no talent are destined failures, and I won't have a stain like that on my name. So do you understand Akira?"

Akira starts to shake and cry after hearing her father's question.

"Do you understand Akira!"

"Yes sir!"

"Good now get out there and make the Sato family proud."

Chris walks away from Akira and when he is fully gone Akira falls to her knees. Tears start pouring from her eyes with no signs of stopping.

"Ahhhhhh!"

On the battlefield, Emiko has been called up. When she makes it to Mr.Zane Mr.Brown starts to call up the next fighter.

"Now from the right corner is Akira!"

A few minutes go by and no one walks out.

"Umm, Akira, you're up next!"

In the teacher stands, Tota asks Mr.Mink "Where's Akira?"

"Well, Tota, this is complicated. When I first met Akira I asked her about her sister and she instantly started crying. I've met Chris Sato, and I know how he is. I wouldn't be surprised if she dosen't show herself this match, and I don't blame her."

After a few more minutes Mr.Brown says, "If Akira doesn't show herself in the next minute, she will be disqualified!"

In the student stands Unknown gets up.

"Where are you going Unknown?"

"I'm going to go look for her Kage! You might not care but I do!"

"Who said I didn't care dumbass? I'm only asking that because look at the battlefield."

When Unknown looks at the battlefield he sees Akira walking towards Mr.Zane with a sad expression on her face.

"Akira!"

As she walks to Mr.Zane Emiko smiles and says to Akira, "So you didn't pussy out after all. Good! Now I will destroy you!"
