Chapter 3 - Family: the real ones

"Boss, Ms. Zara wants to meet you right now."

"Let her in." He started rubbing his sleep-deprived eyes.

"Good Morning My lovely!!" came a rather cheerful voice from a 40-year-old lady. Clad in a formal three-piece suit she greeted him with a motherly hug.

"Good Morning Ms.Za--Mumma" He greeted her with a hoarse voice of his own- trying to be as cheery as he can be at 7a.m after pulling an all-nighter. She pulled him into a tight hug and ruffled his hair a bit.

"My baby. Why do you all-nighters? huh? The whole family missed you yesterday at dinner.." she said a bit upsettingly, fully aware of how her sad voice affects him.

"Mom... We stay 24/7 together. At home -At the office and then again at headquarters. It's okay if they don't see me at one dinner. Say that you missed my cooking, not me..." he chuckled seeing her mouth open and close three times, not finding anything to say.

"Weren't you being a zombie just a few seconds ago? from where did the sassy one come out? Kazuto is it you?" she asked raising her eyebrows and then laughing when a pout made its way on his face. "Okay. You should go now and sleep. Just visit the headquarters once and check if the search has progressed or not. Go now.." she pushed him out of his office after she heard him telling her what to finish and informing him about his breakfast being ready at home.

Walking confidently to his car with the heads bowing down to him with respect he got out of The KJ corporation. He was the Assistant Chief Technology Officer here, after Ms. Zara. She is the wife and the Alpha Mate of the CEO- Mr. Takashi, who is a Very Knowledgeable Beta-running company successfully for 10 years now while ruling the mafia world.

The Couple had different roles in both their works- Where Ms. Zara was the Head of the Mafia. Mr. Takashi was the CEO of KJ corporations. Not being able to bear kids for 10 years- they had adopted 2 siblings. The two were found by them when they were 4 and 7 after a fire broke out in their Area killing their biological parents.

Being driven to the Headquarters, he saw his now siblings talking about something deeply. But when they felt a presence nearby, they turned towards him waving their hands and inviting him.

"Good Morning Mr. Owl," she said cheekily while waving her hand.

"Good Morning Monie" a deep yet sweet voice greeted him while waving at him too.

"Good morning Blue, Good morning Zen," he said taking a seat in front of them.

"What happened? Why were you still at the office?"

"just some breaches in the system." he shrugged it off "what were you guys talking about?"

"Someone's been stealing all our goods and we suspect we have a mole here at the headquarters. Mom was so furious yesterday when our order got canceled as someone else offered a higher price to them. It was an important one we could sense since she's never that angry. Even dad had to intervene in the talk." being shocked at who would give a price higher than theirs had surely made the sleep go away from his eyes. Zen on his phone was showing him the list of goods and weapons being stolen from their base. "How can ANYONE give a price more than ours?"

"Wait till you know this. That Someone had killed your biological family when they entered this world. Only your brother is left- and he too is at their mercy. We found it from an insider there. And the one who has done that is still not known... Nobody has seen their face ever- even in their own business. They just get told what to do by the Right hand of the boss." Blue finished saying it, gulping a bit of water.

Perri was shocked. No one and the author says that no one could even touch his shitty family and this someone had them killed just for an entry pass to this world and now has been targeting to ruin their business too. "It's a relief that they are not here now. But I still wanted to see them one last time...Do you have any information about their base? I want to meet my brother..."Symon asked with a glint of hope knowing already that his siblings would have already searched for it and would have found it "I know their base, but we have to take permission from mom to do anything about it." Zen answered showing me the location.

"From when are you both working on this case?"

"Oh, just some hours."

Raising his eyebrows he glances at blue seeing her suppress her yawn.

"I am sleepy too don't give me those eyes, Let's go home. We can continue the work after sleep, mom has already made breakfast," replied Blue sensing Symon getting worried for them.

"Zen." "Yes, just a minute and... send." "What?" both of them questioned.

"We are hiring a team of lawyers for the legal departments both here and there and are residing them in the company residency, so dad asked me to send the details I received from my department.." Nodding their heads, they left the headquarters.

"Dad...Papa!!... We are home." The three of them informed removing their shoes and headed toward the dining area. "Welcome home kids" he greeted them all with a hug.

"Papa aren't you late? It's already 10 and you have a meeting in half an hour.." Symon asked him. "I was finishing an online meeting in the study and had strict orders from the boss to not leave the house until you all are home safely," he answered with Blue mimicking him and his movements with the same vigor.

"Blue... you do know that I raised you right?" he questions still talking to Symon and Zen. "Yes, Papa... " "And the fact that your visible in the mirror..? with a shocked face now converting into one with widened eyes and fishy pout." he teased her turning his head halfway with the face she was making earlier at him. That face had Zen laughing out loud at his sister, with a smug smirk he says- "And I have recorded that!" "Me too !!" joined in Symon. All the three males laughed at how the teen was huffing out and rolling her eyes while mumbling something about having her material too.

He was happy here. With his new family. The one which respects him and treats him like their own.
