Chapter # 41

Zubie gently knocked on the door. The action pushed the veiled woman out of her reverie. Ziva turned her head in the direction of the noise, and she spoke, "Come in."

"Hello, Madam Ziva."

"I recognise that voice: you are that girl I met at the entrance. What was your name..."

"Zubie, Madam, my name is Zubie."

Ziva smiled faintly from behind the veil and motioned the girl to sit, "So, Zubie, what brings you here?"

"The words you said at the entrance about knowing the meaning of my name?"

"I remember saying something of the sort: have you finally decided you want to know?"

"I always wanted to know."

"Then what took you so long?"

"Procrastination, madam."

Ziva lets out a small chuckle, "I relate if it wasn't for such tradition, I would've come here sooner." She fell silent, thinking of what to say, "Are you familiar with the idea of a familiar?"

"No."

"Understandable, familiars are hard to come by because of how rare they are."
