Chapter 31: I Lose Control
“What did you learn?” I asked. I glanced at a movement from the corner of my eye, seeing Fifi and Jasper both stand from the field to bow and curtsy at their king’s return.
Rowan nodded at them in acknowledgment before telling me, “There’s nothing promising.”
I knew it.
He said, “One option is… Well, I’d like to look further into it before presenting it at all.”
“What is it?” I asked anyway.
He grimaced. “…The items that we find in the Sands - those are all from your world, yes?”
I nodded.
He absently mirrored my nod. “We don’t know why that happens, but in regards to your sister, it’s worth looking into. As for getting you inside the gates, we would have to find a way to strip you of your title of Ivory Princess.”
“I can’t just renounce it?”
“Possibly. We can try it.”
“Alright. How?”
“I suppose you can just say ‘I, Lily Whitrose, renounce the title of Ivory Princess.’”
It seemed too easy.
