Chapter 17 Rearranging

Neil put the 45th body inside the 48th cabin instead of his 49th cabin in order to avoid the suspicion of body disappearance.

That's why he did not leave any empty cabin in the middle, completing the arrangements of bodies inside the last four cabins.

"Next, I should remove all evidence of my existence from this storage room." Neil muttered, and following the projections and planning, he removed all areas with possible evidence.

"Initiate the parallel simulation; find evidence of my presence in this room."

Neil commanded, instantly the time around him suspended,

[Initiating Unlimited Parallel Simulation]

[After parallel simulation, you found four missed possible spots of evidence.]

"There are still four spots remaining; it's good I simulated again," Neil muttered thoughtfully, then he removed the four missed pieces of evidence following the simulation result.

Instantly, the time started flowing around him again. He glanced at the clean and dark storage room and hurriedly walked outside through the door, seeing the camera on both edges of the corridor.

'It seems the security was probably sleeping; that's why he didn't notice me walking outside this storage room in the simulation.'

Neil thought, and then following the projection, he walked inside the staff room. He hurriedly grabbed the doctor's robe, felt a little relaxed, and the coldness in his bones receded a little. Because of the poison battle, his whole body muscles are numb right now; even his blood cells have reduced a lot. That's why cold doesn't affect him much.

'It's my lifetime fortune that I woke up; a little mistake in the antidote and drug intake would cost me my life; I would be sleeping in the 49th cabin forever right now,' Neil body shuddered a little thinking of this, then he found the pants and wore them, walked outside the staff room,

'That's the reception desk; there is a PC; the next plan node,' Neil thought to himself, looking at the reception area in the middle of the corridor, just in front of the stairs and lift leading to the upper and lower floors.

Neil appeared in the reception area and started the PC. Looking at the login screen of the OS, he inputted the password, and the main menu appeared in front of him. Then he opened the CD and started giving instructions.

First, he invaded the whole hospital security database. Looking at the live footage, he removed the recording of his movement in the hospital, including the corridor and staff room. There was no camera in the storage room, though.

Neil then added a replay glitch to the recording system; the next hour's recording of all CCTV will be replaced with the replay of previous clear footage until he securely leaves the hospital.

Then he found the data of reports, just edited the serial number, reducing it one number down, and then left the remaining details on the report untouched because it will serve as evidence against his death; thankfully there wasn't any indication of his storage cabin on the report.

Neil then deleted the 45th record from the database, edited the entry serial number of 46th, 47th, and 48th, and then he replaced all these reports in the law enforcement cloud storage, just using the replacing and removing file option, which is quite easy.

'Finally, almost half of the work is done; the 45th completely disappeared, and his body replaced me in the database.'

Neil thought and then nodded satisfied. He changed the status of all last four storage cabins 45, 46, 47, and 48th to dispatch and incinerate tomorrow early morning.

"Now only the security footage arrangements are remaining; all these bodies arrival and storage have been recorded in CCTV cameras, including mine; I have to arrange and replace it."

Neil muttered with a playful smile and then started operating the PC again, finding the five footages one by one and starting cropping and rearranging them. Although the PC was slow, it helped him almost take an hour.

He deleted the 45th and rearranged the arrival of 46th, 47th, and 48th and his, just like the bodies in the cabin.

'It seems I am really lucky,'

Neil glanced at recording footage of his entry in the hospital; almost in all cameras there is a medical staff walking in front of him. Some cameras captured his appearance, but it's not clear, just a side and neck.

Neil then replaced the time watermark on the footage and made them look more genuine and streamline without any error.

'Well, world-class hacking skills are really a horror. It seems I have to initiate parallel simulation again in order to gain more knowledge about hacking, and this time I will derive further hacking skills than I already have, not just learn through the information source like the internet; it will be like a skill upgrade.'

Neil thought to himself, and then he shut down the system and walked toward the physical record room.

After taking away the 45th file content, he replaced the 46th content inside and then rearranged other files content also, except he added a new serial number report in his new 48th file.

After seeing everything is done perfectly, Neil nodded and then ran the parallel simulation.

"Initiate the parallel simulation; find the evidence I missed," he commanded.

[Parallel simulation initiated]

[After parallel simulation, you didn't find any missing potential evidence; you left the hospital premises without anyone noticing.]

Neil nodded satisfied and then followed the projection of planning on exact timing and passed by the corridor, leaving the hospital through the back emergency door.

Seeing the generator at the corner of the wall, he closed the emergency door and climbed down through the emergency iron stairs silently; his footsteps didn't emit any sound because of the socks.

He passed through the back alley, climbed the generator, and then leaped carefully above the wall, passing through the middle of two barbed wires perfectly, and landed on the other side of the street.

Neil looked around and then walked inside the narrow alley beside the hospital and all the way through the woods toward the streets on the backside of the hospital.
