CHAPTER 2

6 years later. Leo was 23 and he had a great future ahead of him. He had opened up a company doing well and is now ready to get married. Earning a lot of money, he is now ready to settle down. Bethany is sitting on the sofa as she is joined by Leo who cuddle her.

"Your mother said she is taking care of everything"

She said as she slept on his chest. He caresses her arm and pecks her.

"Yeah, she dreamt of this day I don't know since when but she is really excited. When are your parents coming for some final preparations?"

"I think mum is coming next week, for my dad I'm not that sure but he may come too. If not then count him in after a month"

She smiles at him as she still lay on his chest. He smiles back at her which made it a romantic moment.

"I know we still have 5 months to the wedding but I really want to get married to you as quickly as possible."

He says it so sweetly, and he meant everything he said. He kissed her and smiled.

"I love you"

"I love you too"

She smiled and slept on his chest. Far outside, someone is taking pictures. They were zoomed and focused more on Bethany than Leo. Was it a stalker? Minutes passed and the doorbell sounds.

"Did you invite someone today?"

She opens her eyes which had started falling asleep and looks at Leo who was trying hard to think.

"Oh yes. Max had to come over. We have to launch his new photoshoot"

She says after finally remembering. Bethany gets up and goes to open the door. There he was, Mac Rogers. He was still breath taking as his teenage life and he looked more polished and mature, thanks to the beards. He had titan shoulders, all in all, he was dishy.

"Max!"

"Bethany! How are you doing?"

They were both happy to see each other. He hugs her and she does hug him back.

"Well as you can see, I'm fine. Come in"

Max enters and Leo stands, he was happy to see his friend.

"Leo Burns, what's been up in your head these past days?"

"Max Rogers, it's been a long time. How was Sydney?"

They hug. They all have a sit and start having a conversation.

"It was one of the best places I have ever worked on. So, you received my mail right"

"Of course, and you received my invitation."

They smile at each other. Bethany sits down near Leo.

"As you can see, I'm here. So, Bethany, how is everything going on?"

"Well, it ain't bad. I mean I'm kinda busy now days and don't have time for some things but its fine"

"She's always at work. Since she got a break for Christmas, she is good to stay home for a month"

Leo said as he caressed her arm. They looked so in love.

"I can see that. So, back to business. Do you have propositions for me at this stage or its still in thinking?"

Max asked looked so pleased for the two lovers.

"I have a lot actually. let me get my computer to make you have a clear view. He stands and leaves for the bedroom. Max and Bethany are left alone for some time.

"So, how was Sydney?"

"It was......., how can I say it? It was good but I really wanted to go with her"

"Then why didn't you go with her? That's a question I really ask myself a lot"

"It was a business trip. If I had gone with her, it would turned into a romantic vacation which would have slowed down the work and it's whole production."

"Ohh.....I get it now"

"So, when is the scheduled day?"

He smiles as he says it. She quickly understood what he was talking about.

"Five months from now"

"I thought it was three. But anyway, I have no problem with that. I will be there with no fail"

He smiled. Leo comes back from his long search for his computer and sits down.He almost heard all what they were talking about.

"I know you will be there with no fail cause I want you by my side"

"Wait, you want me to be your best man? That's a huge work"

He was shocked at the proposition. Bethany holds Leo's hand.

"And we think you will be great for it. We both want it"

"Ahh... since its for you two, I will take the responsibility of everything"

He said and it made everyone happy. They continue having a small when work started being the topic. Bethany gets up and goes to her room, she didn't want to have to interrupt two passionate people doing their work. She decides to go see her friend than staying doing nothing.

"Where to?"

Asked a concerned and confused Leo.

"At Daniella's. She needs to know that her prince charming is back. Or she already knew"

Bethany said in a teasing way. Leo and Max laughed in unison.

"I think you shouldn't say a thing. I will surprise her by myself. No need of telling her that I'm around, it will ruin everything"

"I won't let her know"

She laughed and looked at Leo.

"Okay, be safe"

"Calm down bro. Its not like she is going for a suicidal mission"

Max says and makes everyone laugh.

"Max is true on that, and if I'm not back you can come pick me up"

"That I will do. Greet Daniella on my behalf"

He kisses her and lets her go. After saying bye, she goes out of the house heading to see Daniella.

Moving from past to present is the only way to make you understand what I'm trying to emphasize by the fact that obsession with love are two things not to mix together. Having to live with being spied and constantly having to keep your guards are things that torment people as humans, and that was tormenting me every single day. The first time I stepped into the school grounds, I knew something was going to be off.
