Chapter 17 : TO GRIFFNINE

Krycella needed to change before they left. She went into a bathroom in the main lobby and changed into some clothes that Velvet came back to give to Krycella.

While they waited for her to change, Velvet decided to give them a little more information.

"I need to let you all know that Neal has to men he always works with and is reliant on. One is Cecil Graves, I already told you about him. The second one's name is currently unknown. All we do know is that he works with Neal and can use magic." Velvet said.

"That's interesting..." Zoar scratched his head.

Velvet sighed.

"Yeah... Well, this is good bye for real this time... I have a important meeting across the city in about 20 minutes. Tell Krycella bye for me. See ya." Velvet waved at them and left the building.

Maurice was staring at the slip of paper that had Velvet's email address written on it with glowing eyes.

Zoar was stressed out and Kasstia was worried about it.

Zoar's headache was minor now and he was still shook on the fact he has a sister.

Kasstia wanted to comfort him, but something inside didn't let her, so she just kept her distance.

Maurice had a somewhat simple mind. All he cared for right now was Velvet and the paper he got.

"I am finished, sorry for making you all wait!" Krycella stepped out of the bathroom. She was wearing black leggings, a light blue short skirt, a white crop top, black fingerlrss gloves, dark brown boots and a light blue headband in her hair.

"You're so cute, Krycella!" Kasstia said.

"Thank you Kasstia! I didn't really try to look cute, but thank you!" Krycella blushed a little.

"I think we head west of here to get to Reinstom, which we must go through in order to get to Griffnine..." Kasstia said, depressingly.

"Well..." Zoar put a hand on Kasstia's shoulder.

"You got this, Kasstia." Zor said, to his own surprise and Kasstia aswell.

Kasstia blushed.

"Thank y-you."

Zoar quickly let go and walked towards the exit.

He saw a map of Zeu on a poster.

"If we get through Reinstom without any trouble, we can make it to Lunento right before dark." He turned towards his friends.

"It's 5:29 now so let's get out of-" Maurice butted in.

"One second now! Now I may not look it, but I am a pretty wealthy man and there happens to be money in my bank account right now!" Maurice sounded as cocky as ever.

"What's your point?" Zoar crossed his arms.

"Let me finish! Anyways... I can go to the bank and get my money off! According to my memory, I last had 30,000 Satu before I left my hometown Frulin and found that damn forest that I met your spikey headed ass in! So, once I get all that Satu... I can buy us a car!" Maurice smiled brightly.

"That's a great idea Maurice!" Kasstia said.

"He is right..." said Zoar.

"Good job!" Krycella gave Maurice a thumbs up.

Maurice jumped up.

"Would ya look at that! I ain't completely useless!"

"There it is!" The car dealer said.

"Our cheapest car! The 3486 Aphrodite Joyrider Model-9! You can buy it now and drive away with it for only 25,000 Satu!"

The car was a five seater with four doors, slim body style, an okay white paintjob, okay wheels, decent tires and in overall decent shape.

Maurice smiled and handed the dealer the money.

"What kind of idiot would pass this deal down!" Maurice said as the dealer counted the money.

"Alright! Sign here and she's all yours!" The dealer held out a clipboard with a contract on it and a red ink pen.

Maurice signed it and the dealer exchanged the keys and clipboard with Maurice.

"There you go sir! You all be safe and have a wonderful evening!" The dealer walked off into the dealership.

"Get your asses in! We're going to Griffnine!" Maurice said and hoped into the front seat.

"Shotgun!" said Krycella and she hopped into the passenger side.

Kasstia and Zoar got into the back of the car afterwards and Maurice took off into Astran.

"According to this GPS thingy, we'll be on the road to Reinstom in about 3 minutes." said Mauricr as he traversed through the city.

The city was full of office buildings, restaurants and more. Buildings tall, short, big and small.

"I think I'll nap on the way there... my head is hurting." Zoar said.

"Rest well, brother..." Krycella turned around and looked at him with concern.

Sister. It felt weird, but at the same time he knew that he loved and cared for her at some point.

Zoar leaned his head back and closed his eyes.

He shortly fell alseep.

Zoar woke up and saw Kasstia's face above him. This could only mean one thing.

He was in her lap.

Zoar quickly got up and blushed a little.

"Erhm... my bad..." Zoar said and looked out his window."

Kasstia was red hot in the face and didn't say a word.

"You been out for about 20 minutes! We're just about to reach R-!" Maurice was cut off by the sound of gunfire.

"What the Hell!?" Maurice swerved past a car suddenly pulling out in front of them from the woodland.

"That's probably The Ravens!" Kasstia said.

"Shit!" Maurice said.

Zoar looked behind them and saw 6 cars, 10 bikes and 1 helicopter.

"We're being tailed!" Zoar said.

"Well I don't know what the Hell I'm supposed to do!" Maurice said.

"We should pull over!" Krycella said.

"She's right." Zoar said.

Kasstia nodded.

"Damn..." Maurice slowed down and made a full stop.

The Ravens stopped about 50 meters behind them.

They sat in silence waiting for someone to make a move.

Maurice kept grunting.

Kasstia and Krycella looked scared.

Zoar was sweating from the pressure.

"FUCK THIS!" Maurice slammed in the gas and spun off into the forest.

"Maurice!" Zoar was angry.

"Don't get mad at me! I probably just saved-!" Suddenly the ground beneath them began to crumble and the car began to slide into the ground.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" Maurice was freaking out.

Kasstia and Krycella started screaming.

Zoar had to think fast and he did.

"Get out!" Zoar said and jumped out the car.

The rest of the group soon followed by they all still fell into the collapsing ground.

Zoar saw what seemed to be many different tunnel systems.

The car fell through the biggest one.

Zoar caught Kasstia and they fell into a tunnel.

Kasstia gripped onto Zoar like she was going to die and screamed.

Zoar tried to slow the fall by leaning onto the sides of the hole.

Zoar was just as scared as Kasstia in that moment.
