Intelligent (Demon brothers x child reader)

3rd POV

Beel was heading to the kitchen like always to get a midnight snack. As he walked closer to the kitchen, he could hear shuffling noises from within.

He cautiously peeked his head into the kitchen, and saw that the fridge was open, and a tall shadow was being cast upon the dark wall. Beel turned on the lights, causing the shadow to dissapear.

"Who's there?" Beel asked. He couldn't see who was hiding behind the fridge door that was opened. There was a few moments of silence before he heard a defeated and annoyed sigh.

"....Does it really matter? I broke into your house, and I'm stealing your food. So I'm basically a criminal, which means I'm going to get apprehended or killed either way, so I don't really see the point in revealing my identity." The voice was serious, but it also sounded pretty young. Just then, Lucifer walked in.

"Beel? What are you doing?"

"Oh great." The voice murmured under their breath. Lucifer looked towards the fridge, and walked over to it.

He looked over the fridge door to see a little girl looking up at him with her large but serious E/C eyes. She had a ragged looking hoodie on, and some pants that were covered in dirt.

She looked to be around five or six years old, which was a little concerning because she looked somewhat thin for her age, and her clothes were in such a sorry state.

But the most important question was how the little girl had snuck into their house without being caught until now?

"Who are you, and what are you doing in our house? Don't think about escaping without answering my questions, or else there might be some severe consequences." Lucifer spoke. The girl didn't even seemed phased by Lucifer's words. She sighed, and closed the fridge door.

"My name is Y/N, and I broke into your house so I don't, you know, die of starvation. A human girl like me needs to survive somehow down here, and this is the only way." She said nonchalantly. The two brothers were taken aback by the information that had just come out of the little girl's mouth.

"You're a human? How did you get down here?" Beel asked. The girl simply shrugged as she walked over to Lucifer. Y/N looked into his red eyes.

"I already answered your questions, so if you're going to kill me, steal my soul, or whatever you demons do to humans, just do it already." Lucifer was silent for a moment, trying to figure out what to do with the little human before him.

"If you answer a few more of our questions, then perhaps we can ignore the fact that you managed to sneak into our house."

"You expect me to trust you?"

"I'm not asking you to trust me, I'm making you a deal that's beneficial for the both of us. So, what do you say?" Lucifer leaned down and held out his hand.

Before Y/N could think about it, her stomach growled loudly, and she hunched over in pain. She hadn't eaten anything in a few days.

"Lucifer, we should feed her." Beel cut in, and the Avatar of Pride nodded silently. The girl gritted her teeth as she slowly stood up straight again.

Lucifer opened the fridge, and took out some ingredients to make a sandwich. Nothing special, but it would definitely fill up Y/N's stomach. She quietly watched him to make sure he didn't add anything suspicious to the food.

Once he finished making the sandwich, he handed it to Y/N. She inspected it for a few moments before taking a small bite of it. She didn't let it show on her face, but she was absolutely delighted to have something nice to eat for a change.

".......I guess I owe you a "thank you" now." She spoke softly. In no time at all she had finished off the entire sandwich.

Lucifer noticed that she still seemed a little weak since she was leaning against the table to keep herself standing up. He let out a sigh.

"It has been a long night for all of us. Since it is so late, it would be best for us to continue questioning you tomorrow. For now, you may stay in one of our spare rooms for the night."

"I highly doubt there's only two of you living in this house, so won't the other demons living here try and steal my soul?" Y/N inquired. Lucifer shook his head as he began walking out of the kitchen, and looked back at the little girl.

"Don't worry. I'll lock your door so that no one else can get in. You'll be perfectly safe from my younger brothers."

"I have nowhere else to go, and this is the best option I have at the moment. So there's no need to worry about me running away, Lucifer." Lucifer was a little surprised that she remembered his name after hearing it only once.

Lucifer lead Y/N to a spare bedroom, and as she walked inside, Lucifer locked the door behind her. She smirked and shook her head.

Y/N looked towards the large bed, and climbed on top of it. She noticed how soft the blanket felt underneath her. She soon got under the blankets, and fell asleep.

The girl woke up a little disoriented, nearly forgetting where she was. Then she remembered the events that had happened last night. Y/N slipped out of bed, and went to open her door.

It opened with ease, and she guessed that Lucifer had unlocked it while she was sleeping. She looked down the hallway she had walked down earlier, and decided to take her chances with going the way she came.

Y/N carefully examined her surroundings as she walked down the silent hallway. She went downstairs, and peeked her head into a room with a large table in it. To her surprise, there were seven demons sitting at the table. Two of which she recognized to be Lucifer and Beel.

A demon with champagne colored hair happened to glance at the entryway, and noticed the little head looking at him. He gasped, causing the others to look in the same direction.

"She's so adorable! What's a little girl like you doing here?" Asmo gushed. Y/N rolled her eyes, and walked over to Lucifer.

"Are we going to continue your little interrogation? I'd like to get it over with as soon as possible."

"Uh, Lucifer? Who is this girl?" Belphie asked. Lucifer then explained what had happened last night, and Y/N patiently waited until he finished. He also introduced her to all of his brothers.

"Nice job breakin' in! How did ya do it?" Mammon, the demon with white hair asked. The girl glanced at Lucifer, and his look told her that this was a question that had to be answered.

"There was an open window on the first floor. So I just climbed inside, and looked for the kitchen." Y/N said as she shrugged her shoulders. Most of the demons wer speeches by her calm demeanor.

"I see. Your intelligence is impressive for a human your age. You're definitely smarter than a certain person I know." Satan looked over at Mammon, who looked highly offended.

"Whaddya lookin' at me for?!" Y/N smiled slightly. She liked Satan's attitude, and could tell that he was similar to her.

"How did you get to Devildom?" Lucifer said. The girl placed a hand on her chin, but only a few spotty memories popped up in her head.

"I'm not entirely sure. All I remember is being carried by someone with horns, and waking up in some alley way here. This happened about a year ago."

"It sounds like you were taken from the human world by a demon. Do you remember what they looked like?" Belphie asked. Y/N shook her head.

"No, but it doesn't really matter. I managed to survive on scraps people threw into the trash, and occasionally stealing from people's houses."

"Woah! You have the backstory of an anime protagonist!" Levi geeked. The girl was confused, but decided to ignore whatever he was talking about. She then looked to Lucifer.

"If you're wondering why I chose this house in particular, I simply chose it since it's a lot bigger than most of the houses I've seen down here. Sure, I saw that big castle not too far from here, but places like that always have high security.

Now, if that answers all of your questions, what are you going to do with me?" The room was silent. Beel had even stopped eating his food. Finally, Satan spoke up.

"You don't have anywhere else to go, correct?" Once again, Y/N shook her head. Satan smiled as he looked at his brothers.

"Then I suggest that we allow you to stay here." The girl raised an eyebrow as she looked to the blonde demon.

"You'll allow me, a human girl who broke into your house, to live with all of you? Do you know how insane that sounds?"

"I don't really mind having her around." Belphie said. The others soon agreed with him, everyone but Lucifer. They all looked to him with begging eyes. He finally sighed.

"Y/N, if it is alright with you, you may stay here. We will provide you with what you need, but there is one condition: When you are old enough, you will attend our school." Y/N pondered for a moment, before answering.

"Then I guess I'm staying here for a while." Asmo cheered as she spoke, and started rambling about the different outfits he would get Y/N to wear.

"I'm not a doll. I'll decided for myself what I wear. Now, with all of this out of the way, can I join all of you for breakfast?"

"Of course. There's a empty chair over here." Satan moved the chair away from the table so Y/N could sit down.

"Welcome to the family, Y/N!" Mammon said in his usual loud voice. The girl smiled as she nodded towards him.

"Thank you."
