A clear cracking sound could be heard within Hannya's body. The whirlpools of 'fear' power emerge at the center of his chest and rushed into every part of his body, allowing him to feel a huge increase in overall abilities.

Feeling the power of levelling up, a smirked escaped from his face. He scanned the area with his fear.

It is one of the more dangerous types of hi no tama yokai, onibi is a beautiful but deadly phenomenon. Its name means "demon fire," and it certainly earns that moniker.

Out of thin air a small ball of flame appeared, floating in his side around the eye-level. This orb of fire is 30 centimeters in size, lighting up Hannya's surroundings.

But what he didn't expect was that the sudden emergence of light within the pitch black darkness caught the attention of the wolves.

Hannya saw several wolves approaching him with steady and careful steps. Their salvage and murderous eyes turned sharp when they realize that it's enemy is stronger than them individually. If it's only one wild wolf it would definitely avoid this person but since it's pack they bared their fangs.

'Damn, how could I make such a rookie mistake?! ' grumbled in his mind while preparing to defend against these monsters.

His plan was to hunt the wolves one-by-one but because his mistake it's no longer possible.

Without any AOE skills he definitely won't stand a chance.

Three wild wolves were the first to come forth encircling him, while the remaining 5 spread around all sides cutting all his paths for escape.

One of the wolf crouched and leaped towards Hannya, slashing it's claw towards his chest.

"Kyōka Suigetsu" an overwhelming amount of "fear" wrapped his entire body which frightens the wild wolf, thus making it unable to sense Nurarihyon's presence.

When it's claw landed in Nurarihyon's figure it trembled and dissappeared like illusion. The wolf scanned the surroundings when an overwhelming essence of the devils grasp shadowing it's body with murderous intent.

When the wild wolf sensed the danger, it tried to maneuver it's body to escape but..

The Long Sword of Three Tails penetrated the escaping wild wolf's body.

When the pack of wolves saw the death of their kin, their eyes turned bloodshot, one of the three wild wolves that came first was the second to attack after the death of the other one.

Hannya swung his sword as fast as a lightning strike. The wolf's head flew into the sky, blood raining down from the sky painting the pack with red.

The remainings wild wolves immediately howled and leaped together.

When Hannya was about to use Kyōka Suigetsu to escape from this group attack, he felt a cold wind blew past him.

Cold mist slowly covered a large area, multiple white dust particles dropped from the sky as if it's snowing.
