Revelation and Shock [part 2]

"Interesting," exclaimed the nanny.

At that point, intrigued, I asked her:

"What is interesting?" I asked, intrigued by her reaction.

"Your level of vitality," she replied, with a tone that reflected both wonder and caution.

"It is exceptionally high, which is not too unusual, because it could be explained as a direct effect of the purification process you underwent a short while ago."

"So, why would it be dangerous?" I asked, feeling a shiver of anxiety.

"A high level of vitality can be dangerous because the body might not be prepared to handle such intense energy," the nanny explained seriously.

"It could lead to an overload of the biological systems, causing instability at the cellular level. Imagine your cells as little engines working in unison. If they are fed too much energy, they can start to malfunction or even 'explode' metaphorically, just like an engine that is overfed."

"So, the purification process might have made me... too alive?" I asked, trying to understand.

"In a sense, yes," the nanny continued. "The purification process has refined and intensified your vital energy, but this must be balanced."

Hearing this, I was even more curious.

Because it meant that it was a wanted and desired effect. Indeed, the nanny had said that "it is not an unusual phenomenon," even if the cellular activity is unusually high.

So, I hurried to ask:

"If the purification process increases the level of vitality to exceptionally high levels, so much so that it becomes dangerous, why is it still performed?"

"On the path to perfecting the body, the formation of the vital core is the second stage.

When the body has been improved to a certain extent, it will reach a limit to improvement through further training.

The cells will become stronger, and their activity will increase instead. This increase in activity will result in the availability of excess vitality.

The excess vitality will then be channeled into the creation of a new organ. This organ is the vital core and is responsible for converting mana into a form usable by the cells.

Most races, in general, cannot use mana directly; the cells must first be made capable of doing so.

But there are exceptions, such as talented races and members of species with sufficiently powerful bloodlines, like dragons," the nanny paused before continuing.

"But you already knew all this information, right?"

Hearing that, I nodded.

"And you also know how to advance to the vital core stage, right?"

Hearing that, I nodded again.

The process to reach the stage of vitality consists of two phases:

The passive phase and the active phase.

The passive phase involves accumulating enough vitality to begin the active phase and is accompanied by the constant production of vitality by the cells.

The passive phase is incredibly slow and takes a long time to complete; the time can be shortened with the use of spiritual medicine items.

While the active phase involves channeling the accumulated vitality into the creation of the core.

It is fast and requires hours in a normal case or less, as in the case of the presence of an assisting bloodline.

And unlike the passive phase, it has a chance of failure, but the chances of success can be improved with the use of items full of vitality or vital energy.

Every failed attempt will cause permanent damage to the cells that will lead to the loss of vitality.

And, although the cells can be replaced, this will mean a return to the passive phase.

And, even though it is theoretically possible to perform both phases simultaneously, it is practically impossible for someone to do so unless they can maintain a large amount of stored vitality or manage to store it all at once.

But even in that case, you might fail, as your body is intent on rejecting the strange organ.

Succeeding, however, meant having a large amount of vitality.

Vitality that is too volatile to be stored if there is no organ to do so, and can be considered as the potential of a cell, only when it needs it should it be available.

So the decision to create a very large vital core requires producing more and more vitality, where to maintain progress, more and more vitality is needed.

"So, the purification process can help you in this sense, helping you to do both phases simultaneously."

Seeing that I was surprised and at the same time excited.

The possibility of advancing so quickly was something I had never considered possible.

"So, the purification process not only cleanses the body of impurities and toxins but also prepares the ground for the formation of the vital core," I reflected aloud.

"It's like a catalyst to accelerate the process that otherwise would have been much slower and perhaps impossible."

"Exactly," confirmed the nanny with a nod.

"And this is why the purification process is so precious and sought after. It not only improves your overall strength but also puts you on the right path to reach a higher level of power."

After saying that, the nanny continued to watch the mechanics' screen, where the levels related to soul activity had appeared.

"Interesting," the nanny said again.

The nanny remained silent for a moment, then, with a smile that revealed a mix of pride and expectation, she turned to me.

"You see, your level of soul activity is just as remarkable for someone of your level," she said, "something that cannot be explained simply by your Subgrade."

"So you were probably born with an unusually powerful soul."

At that point, I thought:

"So this is due to reincarnation, I wonder what she will say when she sees the affinities I have and the degree of them."

While thinking this, I said to the nanny:

"I understand," I said, pretending to reflect on the nanny's words and continued:

"So, not only has my body been purified and strengthened, but my soul has also undergone a transformation that sets me apart."

"Certainly," replied the nanny, with a tone that was now full of enthusiasm.

"You have a potential that you must absolutely exploit."
