Way of the king

the skies above was of a dark blue, the ground below was of a dark soil, it wasn't mud or any other dirt that could be found, Alex looked to the black coffin Infront of him it was fully black with huge amounts of mysterious patterns, the black box opened up there was someone inside he had long white hair with ghost like skin, lips as red as the blood moon, hands as black as void and eyes as life less as the dead, the coffin had the symbol of snake with a halo above its head then a second row filled with knives and swords of all kinds at the bottom there where pairs of hands reaching for the snake but it never reached it.

his eyes opened up his palms turned into the symbol of the tattoo on Alexs arm it also appeared on the palm of Alexs hand the man rubbed his head then threw his hair back he got up out of the coffin Alex backed up, he created enough space between the two of them, the man glowed a fait purple his figure changed into that of a suite he now looked as if he was heading to a party the space around Alex shifted and change into a castle of old, the column's around Alex was tall it was like they could reach the heavens.

"You have awakened your core... good" the man said the man said he crossed his leg one over the other he looked as though he was looking down to one of his servants.

"Umm. what do I call you?" Alex said, beads of sweat poured down his face 'did I ask the wrong question is he gonna kill me?'

"Hmmmmmm..."the man thought about it for a while, while this happened Alex kept thinking about ways to avoid being killed by the man " ah I got it call me Bellerophon but for short just call me bell ok" Bell said he carried a wistful grin on his face.

"I will soon ask of you to take on a task, but this will be after the three-day period " bell said his voice returned to normal now he sounded like a god not an old friend you meet on the street.

' Wait he knows about the three-day period? wait is he always listening or is this piece of information supper well known?' Alex added inwardly.

"You are a very kin thinker, so you probably wonder how I came to know about that ... I know because I formed a contract with you anything that has happened to you, I can sense "bell said his voice sounded godly.

"..... I have a question " Alex said he looked up at bell in seriousness "I'm listening" Bel answered.

"I did a divination earlier when I was choosing my pathway, I ended up getting a negative answer, could you explain why the cores were dangerous?"

'How do I explain this without killing him' Bell added inwardly he hived a huge breath of air then spoke

"The cores that were before you were corrupted by an evil .... sprit yeah sprit, those sprits are from a dangerous place they are currently sealed off, but they have absolute control over cores such as aqua, blood, ice." bell spoke, Alex felt a stream of happiness, but bell did not stop talking he continued.

"Beings that have control of a certain authority (the cores) can affect the users of that power an example would be they have complete power over a core they could even shut down that power from working but those beings wouldn't act that way ..... probably because you have a contract with me that's why those sprits reacted like that" Bell said he rubbed his hand through his white hair then looked at Alex.

"So, you're saying if I had chosen the other cores, I would have been corrupted .... what does it mean to be corrupted because hearing such words filles me with fear somehow" Alex body started to shake beads of sweat flowed like a waterfall.

"Being corrupted means that you lose control of your core then you turn into a monster that eats everything in sight or you just destroy everything" bell said he chuckled after then said.

"look I'm not gonna let you get corrupted so don't worry, the only thing you have to worry about is to stay alive and get stronger so that I can deal with those sprits that can corrupt you and the cores that you saw had a low-Ish level of corruption but it's still a good thing you did not chose it, that divination skill is coming in handy huh " Alex looked up at Bell then a single thought surfaced 'who is this gu-god and why was he in the coffin in the first place'

giant beams of light shined down they formed into stairs Bell got up off his Throne then he walked down.

Alexs tattoo light up in a purple flame it swirled around his arm.

"This shall help hide you from those that mean to harm you" bell said his eyes turned to a faint purple.

"The only thing I want you to do know is to just rest until your core is useable ok" bell said he staired deeply at Alex looking for a reply.

"What if I end up being caught up in something?" Alex said his tone changed from serious to stutter.

"Just don't get yourself into something that brings large amounts of attention ok!" Bell said he crossed his arms then chuckled.

"I've never talked this much before..." Bell said under his breath, Bells pupils changed to a cross he then waved over Alex, the next second he was gone, Bell changed the environment back to the old one then he saw the grave that Alex always gets summoned to , Bell looked at the grave he had a depressed look on his face even though there was nothing on it he felt a wave of negative emotions, Bell waved his right palm across the grave stone in the next second it was gone, bell felt as if a large weight has been lifted off his chest the sky above changed there were lights of the sun piercing through Bell looked up then chuckled

"Looks like choosing him wasn't a bad choice."

Alex eyes fluttered awake "where am I " he whispered under his breath he got up of the bed "whose..." as he said this, he realized that he was in his house 'oh shit I promised Audery that I would go to her house last night' Alex panicked to get out of his bed he went to the window he moved away the black curtains 'when was this here?' Alex moved the curtain his eyes were blinded by the large amounts of light he covered his eyes then as he tried to get out of the suns reach he tripped over a book that was on the floor, while on the floor Alex rubbed his eyes in a few seconds Alex got used to the light he then saw the same book that gave him large amounts of pain, as he stared at it he felt some one watching him at the doorway it was none other than Leo but it looked as though he could not see what was in Alexs hand

"wh-how are you in my house?" Alex said his voiced creaked as he said that he covered his mouth with his left hand.

"Haha Haha....it guess like you are still very young."

"Shut up were the same age, so answer the dam question why are you in my house"!

"Boss sent me to bring you to your house you slept like a baby, whenever boss tried to wake you up you just wouldn't "Leo said, he played around with his blonde hair it was like watching a cat but after Alex noticed that he stopped.

"Since you brought me home why are you still here?"

"ohh that boss asked me if I could watch over you to see if there are any changes in your core. "

"Ok.... why do you call Bragi boss?"

"... it makes me seem like I'm in a gang which makes me seem even more attractive to the ladies "Leo rubbed his chin.

'I really dislike this guy' Alex added inwardly.

[me to his annoying] Alex heard a familiar voice that he had heard a few seconds ago it was bell.

'How are you speaking to me and how did you not speak to me earlier?'

[because I can also if I kept speaking to you, you would've went made after seeing that dead body to hearing voices you would have gone insane] bell added.

'How can Leo not see the book?'

[I made it so anyone that has formed a contract with me can see the book so don't worry about someone seeing it]
