A TRUE GEM

'Alright. Let's do this.'

Terrence's adrenaline was at its peak as he mentally ordered the wheel to spin.

When he saw the movement of the wheel, the familiar tick sound suddenly started to sound as well.

As its speed increased, the ticking sound got even louder. Terrence bared the feeling of anxiousness he felt. He stared at the wheel until it slowed down and eventually stopped.

[You got a Dud!]

"..."

Terrence sighed. 'That's fine, since this is just the first one.' he consoled himself.

He was already expecting that he would get a dud for most of his chances. However, he has faith in the 4 points of his luck attributes.

'Okay, let's move on to the next one.' He uttered and spun the wheel one more time.

[Congratulations! You won $100.]

"Nice!" Terrence grinned in his little victory. He looked relieved now that he had gotten even a small prize in the wheel.

'If only they would remove the prizes that I got already…' Terrence thought how that would be much better.

If the prizes he got were removed, then all the Duds in the wheel would be gone in no time, but that was not the case.

Terrence spun the wheel a couple of times more.

He won a +2 attribute points for his third spin. He placed all of them on his luck attribute. It was a good thing for him since he would need that more later on once he got more lottery tickets.

Ironically, Terence felt that his luck had worsened when he placed the points there.

 [You got a Dud.]

"What the heck?" Terrence uttered a curse when he saw the same words for the 3rd time.

"Am I cursed or something?" He unbelievably asked when the prizes he got for the 4th to 6th spin were all dud.

After all the tries, he only has 1 lottery ticket with him.

"I'm not feeling good with this one, too." he sighed and stared at the white holographic screen before him.

'Should I just save this last ticket?' he wondered. However, he quickly shook his head. 'This is the last one anyway.'

Terrence took a deep breath. 'I won't expect anything this time since I'm sure it would also be a Dud.'

Terrence spun the wheel once again after thinking for a while. Unlike his spins earlier, he was now more relaxed, since he was not expecting anything. He just wanted everything to finish.

[Congratulations! You won $60,000!]

Terrence's eyes widened when he saw the words that flashed on his screen. He immediately looked at the wheel and saw that the arrow really stopped on one of the major prizes.

"Yesss!" Terrence happily exclaimed.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Terrence punched the air a couple of times. He stood up and silently celebrated after his low shout.

'You're the best, System." Terrence sheepishly smiled.

He excitedly sat again and checked his stats. He was happy more than ever.

 =====

Terrence was left speechless as his eyes focused on the money he got. This was the highest money he got at one time. This doesn't even compare to the monthly salary he got, being one of the death troopers in the past.

'Damn, I am rich now,' Terrence mindlessly uttered. Even he was surprised by how much he got.

Now, he can finally buy the land and start the construction of his grocery store. It was even better since he didn't need to problem the cost of everything now that he had this much money.

When Terrence slightly calmed down, he clicked the [Shop] Tab.

When Terrence saw that the items were already availble to buy after getting enough money, he didn't think twice and bought the Land of Fortune.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations, Host! You have successfully bought Land of Fortune!]

[You gained 30 EXP for buying in the shop for the first time!]

[$10,000 has been deducted from your balance.]

[Generating Land…]

[Ding!]

[Item: Land of Fortune no. 1]

[Description: A 700 sq meter land with a newly constructed building ready for occupancy. The building is located in the middle of a commercial area in Linus Town. Possible income can be up to $400,000 every year!]

Terrence's jaw fell to the ground as he read the description of the land that he bought.

'Isn't Linus town a little bit far away here, though?' he thought about it.

Linus Town was a 2-hour drive away. Unlike their town, Linus Town houses the upper middle class and some of the upper class.

With different modern infrastructure and buildings, it was considered to be one of the best places people usually go.

At his estimate, the land he bought would be valued at more than $400,000 alone. With the addition of the building, he was sure that the price of the whole land had already doubled.

'Damn, I really got lucky on this one. Just imagine earning $400,000 alone in this one.' Terrence uttered.

Now, he just needed to know how he would buy all the stocks needed to fill the grocery store. And, of course, he needed to hire good employees to run the business.

Terrence had no plans to go there as a worker. That would be too tiring for him. 'I should immediately go there.'

The thought of it made Terrence a little excited. He couldn't stop himself from smiling.

He just landed on a true gem!
