In the span of just one month, the entire Davis clan vanishes without a trace, leaving Evelyn to navigate her clan only in shadows, determined to protect her legacy at any cost. Fast forward five years— Evelyn, now the Vice President of Lav Enterprise. In office on the couch Evelyn feeding fruit to Wyatt and beside her, the president of the company and Evelyn's best friend, Archie, feeds Evelyn's daughter, Zoe in his embrace. Seated on the opposite couch, jealousy burned in Aiden's eyes as he watched Evelyn and Archie, his regret a constant reminder of what he had lost. His possessiveness towards Evelyn and their children is evident, yet he feels disheartened knowing he can't do anything to the man who now shares Evelyn's life. Helplessly, he can only stare, consumed by regret and longing. In a dark room, fill with dust, a couple on the ground tied up by a rope. "Baby girl, why don't our kids call me dad?" Aiden says frustratingly. "You think you can come back into our lives and pick up where we left off? You forfeited that right when you destroyed my world." "I know I can never undo the past, baby. But I love you. I want to be a father to our children, if you'll let me." "Darling, you're late. Someone else already filled that role," Evelyn replies coolly, attempting to free herself from the ropes binding her. "I'll kill that bastard!" Aiden's anger surges as he struggles to untangle Evelyn's ropes with his own bound hands, his desperation evident. "I dare you," Evelyn warns, her tone steely. "But baby, I—" Aiden's plea is cut off by Evelyn's blunt response. "Being my one-night stand should be enough for you," Evelyn states matter-of-factly, showing no concern for his feelings. "I am your husband," Aiden insists. "You should dream as big as I allow you to dream," Evelyn shoots back without hesitation. "Am I not even allowed to dream of you now?" "The blood on your hands can never be washed away, Aiden. The night you took my family from me, you also killed the part of me that can ever love you." "Am I of no use to you now?" Aiden proposes, regardless of their precarious situation. "You still have a purpose, darling," Evelyn replies with a playful smile. "You still have to meet your end at my hands today." Soon her hand gets freed. Evelyn looks at Aiden, who is also smiling at her. "Ready to die, darling?" Evelyn asks.

Twins!

"What happened? Is there something else that i need to be worried of? Why you guys look so tens? Am I going to die?" Evelyn asked unhurriedly.

"What! What the hell are you talking about!" Archie angrily looked at her

"Exactly miss. You shouldn't be saying such kind of things." Antonio reprimanded as well.

Evelyn hurriedly nodded and accepted her mistake and asked again. "Okay, sorry i was wrong. But can you now please tell me what's going on?"

Seeing how worried Evelyn is Antonio beckoned Archie who walked towards Evelyn and took a seat bedside her. Sighing once he said.

"Evelyn, the doctor said... you're carrying twins," Archie said softly, his eyes full of emotion. "Both are healthy. It was a false alarm."

She had been bracing herself for the worst, fearing the loss of her precious child. A rush of emotions flooded over her—relief, disbelief, and pure amazement. Tears welled in her eyes, not of sadness, but of joy and wonder as she learned she wasn't just carrying one, but two precious babies. In that moment, fear gave way to overwhelming gratitude and awe.

Weeks ago she wanted to get herself free from them. And suddenly today... She couldn't believe her ears. She couldn't believe Archie for once. But somewhere in heart she felt it very true. That she is carrying two child. She felt like the god took away two lifelines of her, father and brother. And with this twins they again gave her a purpose of living.

Relief flooded Evelyn, and she broke down in tears, clinging to Archie. "Thank you, Archie. I was so scared."

"I know," Archie whispered, holding her tightly. "But you're strong, and so are they."

Evelyn bobbed her head in affirmation. Her children are fine. And she will make sure that they would always be fine. She would never let anyone do anything against her children. Sh would protect them with her life.

Once the initial shock and relief had passed, the trio sat down to discuss the next steps. The clan leaders would need to be informed, and Evelyn knew it wouldn't be easy. The clan had strict traditions, and a child out of wedlock, even for the heir, was a contentious issue.

She cannot ask them to accept her. She no where expect anything from them. Ahe knows that although she was helpful to them till now, she is now also a liability to be taken care if. How could she ask them to accept when her priority has changed with the children in her womb.

She won't lie by saying that she isn't worried. The only thing that is left by her father is this clan to her. She is worried of losing it. But this power is nothing compared to the children she is carrying. She won't force nor expect any sympathy.

"We need to be honest with them," Evelyn said firmly. "They deserve to know the truth, and I owe it to my children to fight for their place in this family. We'll tell them today. It's up to them to decide. If they still want me to lead, I will do so but if not, I would only allow Antonio to lead until I find the proper leader."

"Miss-" Antonio worriedly looked at Evelyn.

"No discussion can be happen on that." Evelyn said as got up from the bed to leave.

"Evelyn how about we wait for while and bit by bit try to convince them." Archie asked.

"It doesn't matter. If they can say no to this, I won't care whether few of my sugarcoated words can convince them. I would rather not have any such fake affirmation. I have made my decision. And I expect them to be clear headed to make decision as well. I will give them this night to decide. Whatever they say I would take it." Evelyn answered and straight walked inside the washroom leaving no room for discussion. Soon a maid also followed Evelyn behind with a cloth to change.

Archie and Antonio nodded in agreement, though worry lingered in their eyes. The decision was made. They would face the clan leaders together. To them no matter what Evelyn decide on they are always standing through her side.
