It may not be much, but it’s my first book and I hope I can make more chapters. I’m a college student so I don’t have much time on my hands so bear with me if you enjoy it. If not that’s fine with me I hope I can improve on my writing skills in the future.

Chapter 5: You ready....

(I opened my eyes to see a battlefield before me..)

(The stench of blood and feces attacking my nose..)

(Everywhere I looked I could see bodies laid around crows tearing flesh from bone...)

("Help...")

(I found myself gazing at a beautiful women with golden colored hair and pale skin with piercing blue eyes...)

(She was on her knees wearing bright golden armor caked in blood..)

(She reaches out with a slender hand before something pierced her chest...)

(Anger suddenly coursed through me as I saw a blade appear from the girls chest, and I gave off a blood curdling roar...)

(She gazed up at me with a single tear going down her face. Her mouthed opened up and a word rolled from her rose colored lips...)

("Arno..")

(Then I watched as another blade flew toward her neck and I dashed forward toward her screaming, but the blade was faster and a red line appeared across her neck..)

I awoke with a scream thrashing around and found myself suddenly having a pair of hands hold my body still. I gazed up to find myself staring at a huge man. With a large red beard with long hair, he had brown colored eyes with tan weathers skin.

"Easy lad." He said pressing my body down my arms as wide as trees. "Don't move around to much you will hurt yourself." The man released his grip on me and slowly sat down on a wooden chair. I laid there in the bed with my heart furiously beating in my chest.

I gazed around to find myself in a small room with a table and a fireplace in the corner. "Your one lucky lad." I turned my attention back to the big man who was now placing a pipe in his mouth.

"It seems Alice has taken a liking to you."

I frowned and suddenly remembered the goblins. "Is she okay?" I said and the man smiled, "Don't you worry lad...she's a tough lass." He snapped his fingers and a small fire appeared at the top of his finger. I flinched and stared in wider at the sudden flame. The man noticed my surprise and said, "Have you seen magic before?" I gave a slow shake of my head and the man raised an eyebrow.

"Your a weird lad...especially with that hair!" I frowned and said, "My hair?" The man nodded and got up to walk to a large dresser. He dug around before coming back with a mirror in his hand.

"Take a look for yourself." I gently took the mirror from his hands and turned it towards me. I suddenly saw my reflection and gazed in wonder.

(So this is what I look like?") I thought to myself as I gazed at my face. My skin was a light color with a handsome looking face. I gazed at my eyes and suddenly felt captivated by them. They were a intense pale blue that seem to almost sparkle in the light. I gazed at my hair and frowned, unlike my eyes my hair was completely white like snow.

The man took the mirror from my hands, and blow out a puff of white smoke from the corner of his mouth. "Your a good looking lad, it's just that your hair may seem a little surprising to people." I grinned and rubbed my neck to were swept was dripping down.

"Bad dream?" I nodded at the mans words, "It felt real...almost to real." The man nodded and blew another cloud of smoke. "I've got some food in the pot by the fireplace. Get you something to eat and clothes are on the table." He said while standing up and heading toward the door.

"Oh and by the way?" I watched as the man turned around and smiled.

"You better be ready?"

"Ready for what?"

But before I knew it he had opened the door and what came is was something I was not ready for...
