TRAPPED 3

She pursed her lips and walked over to him, standing in front of him with her hand on her waist. "What are you doing here? Aren’t you tired of stalking me?" She asked, pissed. He flashed her a cute smile that exposed his dimple.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," he commented.

"Don’t change the topic. What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Aren’t I allowed to come to the hospital? It's not like you own this place," he said. "For your information, I slept here last night, in the room over there." He said, pointing at the door of a room on the right side of the hospital. She hit him on the chest.

"You are too much!" she said.

"Come on, stop pestering your ex-husband and let’s be together," he remarked, walking closer to her. She placed her hand on his chest, preventing him from getting close to her.

"Don’t cross your boundaries," she said, glaring at him. He lifted his hand in the air and stepped back.

"Whoa, calm down darling. You are so cute when you are angry," he said as her eyes twitched. He was starting to get annoying. She didn’t know a man this smart would act so stupid because he was in love. She was looking for a way to talk to Xavier. She wanted him to become her ally because they both wanted the same thing. She stroked her chin, thinking of a way to ask Amber about Xavier without her getting suspicious.

She sighted Eric and her eyes lit up. He was snooping into Amber’s room.

"What the fuck are you doing!" She exclaimed and grasped his wrist, pulling him away from the door and slamming the door shut with her other hand.

"What’s your problem?" She said and gave him a resounding slap across the face. The hallway was silent for a minute before he finally spoke. He gnashed his teeth. He hadn’t been insulted by a woman before, but he was trying to calm himself down because she was the woman he loved.

"Why did you hit me?" he asked, trying to be calm.

"Can you just get out of here and mind your business?" She inquired, poking him on the chest. He smiled, feeling her hand on his chest. She noticed he was enjoying her touch and pulled her hand away, immediately glaring at him.

"Ugh! You are so shameless," she said, and started walking down the hallway grumbling.

"Where are we going?" he asked, running after her. She halted in the middle of the hallway, and he nearly bumped into her. The hallway was dry because that area of the hospital was a VIP area, and only a few patients passed there.

"Stay back, don’t follow me, you are starting to get annoying," she said, and he paused and let her go with his watchful eyes on her.

"I will be here waiting for you!!" He yelled as she walked away.

"Ahh!" Mason said extending a spoon filled with porridge in his hand to Amber. She pursed her lips, refusing to open them.

"I don’t wanna eat," she said, and gasped.

"Oh, I remember. I have to go to see my dad. He needs me." She said, removing the duvet from her body. Mason ate the porridge on the spoon and screwed up his face. It was bitter. Lily was a good cook, but he could tell she was angry when she made the food. He gulped and forced the food down his throat. He covered her with the duvet, looking at her with a serious face.

"You can’t leave this bed without having your meal," he said. Amber swallowed saliva. The look on his face was horror.

"Now open up!" He commanded, putting the spoon close to her mouth. She opened her little mouth and took the food, chewing it, scrunching her face because it was bitter, but he didn’t pay attention to her. He just continued giving her the porridge.

"Stop!" She muttered, putting her hand in the way. She pushed the spoon away.

"Is this porridge or poison?" She inquired.

"It’s porridge. It might be bitter in your mouth because you have the flu." He concluded with a smile and attempted to take another scoop of the porridge.

"Stop! I don’t want any more porridge. You can have it if you want." She protested.

"You need to have it; it’s for your own good." He said. She smiled and took the spoon from him. She took a scoop of the porridge and fed it to him.

"Why don’t you have it?" she said. He held the porridge in his mouth and swallowed it, putting on a tough face.

"Don’t drink it," he said in a calm tone.

"Please Mason, I need to go to my dad. He is unwell and he is at the hospital." She complained with pouted lips, blinking her eyes in a sexy way so he would listen to her, but he didn’t.

"You are also at the hospital. You can’t go to him; he might catch the flu. Why don't you tell me what room he's in so I can go check on him?" He asked with a smile. She frowned, rolling her eyes.

"He isn’t at this hospital," she replied flatly.

"So where is he?" he inquired. She folded her hand across her chest.

"I don’t know, but I can call my brother and ask him... if I find my phone." she said, and started looking around the bed one more time.

"I can lend you my phone. I don’t have his number but I believe you know it." he said.

"I don’t, but I know his wife's number. I can call her." she said. He took the spoon from her and grabbed the cover of the bowl, closing it with the remaining porridge.

"That’s a great idea…You can have my phone," he said, and put the bowl back in the polythene bag before struggling to take his phone out of his pocket. He handed it to her. Her hands were shaking as she dialed the number.
