Duy's Eight Gates Technique

The next day, Kira woke up early and completed his daily workout routine before running towards Guy's house. He hadn't trained with them for two whole months, so he kinda missed the two gullible guys. 

As he ran, he checked his system screen with a smile on his face. One year had passed and his physique had gone up by another grade, bringing it up from E to D grade. 

A few minutes later, he stopped in front of a small hut and gently knocked the door. 

There were slight sounds of footsteps before the door opened. It was Guy's father Duy who opened the door and when he saw Kira, his face beamed. 

"You're back! What made you not want to experience youth for two whole months Kira?!" he asked, his voice as loud as ever as he flashed his signature smile, showing off his white teeth. 

Kira gave him a sheepish smile before telling him about Hiruzen's task. 

"Oh so you were experiencing youth in another way. That's great! Guy trained too hard yesterday and it looks like he won't be able to share the youth with us so we'll have to do it without him today." 

"Okay uncle Duy, let's go experience youth together!" Kira imitated Duy's way of speaking and began to run. 

Duy, who was following right behind him, noticed a difference. 

'He's faster today and he also isn't struggling to breath while he runs. He's getting better at showing off his youth, great great!'

Seeing Kira run faster than before, fired up his will as he too, began to exert himself. His speed increased and he caught up with Kira. 

"Faster faster faster faster!!! Let's race Kira! Let's race!"

Kira didn't say anything and instead, just nodded as he really was unable to speak. If he did, he'd lose control of his breathing and in turn, that would cause problems with is running pace. 

He could use chakra to enhance his body, but he didn't do it as he wanted to compete on equal grounds with Duy. The two of them ran at their full speeds, pushing their body to the limits. 

Unfortunately for Duy, even though Kira actively tried to not use his chakra, there were things he couldn't control. His chakra control was a mere E rank. 

Even though he didn't use chakra to boost his speed or strengthen his legs, his chakra passively nourished his muscles, bones and in short, his entire body. On top of that, his entire body was made up of Hashirama cells, which in turn, boosted his physical regeneration to unprecedented levels. 

Four hours later, Duy fell to the ground as his legs gave in. Kira stopped when this happened and lied down beside Duy as they looked up at the clear blue sky. 

Even though Kira could still run, he felt like his entire body was on fire. He could feel his pulse even without pressing his fingers against his arteries. He could hear his heart beat like it was beating inside his ears. 

As he huffed and puffed for air, Duy spoke. 

"Kira, I've been developing a method for people like me who can't use chakra. I've been developing it for two decades and I think I've finally reached the end point.

The amount of hard work that's needed to be able to use this technique is on a different level compared to most jutsus, but if people like my son have the will to become a ninja no matter what, then this technique is for them.

I heard that you're a genius of your class so what do you think of this technique of mine?"

"Uncle Duy, you must first show me the technique for me to answer your question."

Duy nodded and even though he was lying on the ground, he activated his first gate. With a grunt, he pushed himself to stand upright before he unlocked the second gate. 

With the second gate's regenerative properties, he showed off his new speed and strength as he ran around and punched a few trees while he explained how the eight inner gates worked. 

Kira already knew how the eight gates worked, but he still pretended to be hearing about it for the first time. 

Once Duy was done showing his second gate and explaining all the other gates, he lied back down on the ground as he waited for Kira's answer. 

And Kira didn't disappoint.

"Uncle Duy, this technique... not just people who can't use chakra, even those who can use chakra will benefit a lot from your technique. Though, I doubt that there will be a lot of people who'd want to put in the effort that's needed. 

But even if that's the case, consistency always works. As long as they consistently train their bodies, they'll slowly be able to open the gates one by one. Even regular ninjas should be able to reach the second or even third gate by the age of 20 as long as they stay consistent. 

With the boost that your technique provides, it'll almost always serve as a trump card for every single ninja." he explained. 

Duy stayed silent for a few seconds before making up his mind, "Kira, do you want to learn the eight gates techique?"

Hearing this, even though Kira wanted to keep himself from smiling, he couldn't control himself as the corner of his lips curved upwards. 

"Of course uncle Duy, your technique is one of a kind and I think that it'll be very useful."

Duy too, smiled when he heard Kira's answer and let out a sigh as all of his worries felt like they were expelled along with his sigh. 

After a painstaking effort of developing a jutsu for people who couldn't use chakra, for two whole decades, why wouldn't he want to share it with people? He wasn't like most people who liked to keep their techniques to themselves. 

If someone was willing to put in the effort to be able to use the eight gates, then that person deserved to be able to use the eight gates. 

This was Duy's way of thinking as he began to teach Kira the theory on how to activate the eight gates and the requirements to do so.
