Chapter 42:- Dragon Princess of Eastern Ocean Dragon Palace

The frown on Laura's face only deepened. What was the princess of a foreign kingdom doing in her empire? As far as Laura can remember the Sithen Empire did not have close ties with the Eastern ocean dragon Palace. The sudden arrival of the dragon princess in a foreign Empire had Laura worried.

"dragon princess of Eastern Ocean Dragon Palace?" Laura coldly looked at Elena for a moment before looking at William, asking for an explanation.

Sigh!

William took a few chairs and then sat down. "A lot of things have happened since I set out on my journey. After completing our first mission, we decided to take an escort mission. But who would have thought that we would be targeted by a group of 50 gold rank assassins." Hearing the last part, Laura's expression changed.

This month she has been getting reports of multiple high-rank adventurer parties disappearing. All adventurer parties had one thing in common and that is all of these adventurer parties had taken escort missions.

"How did you manage to fight 50 gold rank assassins?" Laura knew that William was very talented. He was even more talented her than but she would never say as she did not want William to feel too much proud and then become an arrogant type of person.

As someone who has trained William for 4 years, she knew very well the limits of her students. Laura can't understand how William managed to fight 50 gold rank assassins.

"Actually, our group had 25 silver rank guards. Because the guards bought me some time, I was able to kill the assassins one by one." Nostalgia and a trace of sadness appeared flashed in his eyes when he said those words.

"Also my class helped me a lot."

"I see." Laura understood what William meant by class. He was talking about his Ruler of Night powers and his Night Monarch class.

"Then what happened?"

"We went to South River Sea city after getting some information. William managed to fool them and leave the enemy base with Elena." Rosie briefly explained everything to her daughter. She purposely kept quiet about their skills and abilities. Even though the princess did not had the power to harm them, it was better to be cautious than later regret it.

"So David is working with the assassins?" Laura's eyes flashed in cold light. She has been doing some personal investigation on this matter. But did she think that someone like David would betray the Empire?

"Laura, I think we should first send a message to the Eastern Ocean Dragon King and explain the whole situation to him. Knowing his calm personality, I am sure he will understand what is going on in our Empire." Aditya has heard that Elena's father is a calm and peaceful man. Ever since he sat on the throne, he always has done his best to avoid war. It was not that he was a crowd, it was that he did not like unnecessary wars which would only bring suffering to both sides.

But that does mean that Elena's father won't war a start. If someone touches the Eastern Ocean Palace Dragon King's bottom line, that person or faction would suffer his wrath. And his most sensitive nerve was his one and only daughter, the dragon princess. Knowing that Elena has been kidnapped, he must have been super angry and furious by now. So it would be better to first send someone to explain the whole situation.

After the dragon king calms down, Laura can secretly send Elena back to her Kingdom. The reason Elena would be secretly sent to the Eastern Ocean dragon Palace is not to alert the people who kidnapped her in the first place.

If Elena suddenly returns to her Kingdom, the culprit behind all this would instantly know that their plan has failed. Knowing that the empire was aware of them, the assassins would instantly change their location and go into hiding. This was Laura's one and only chance of catching the culprit by raiding the assassin base. Laura was planning to take her best and most powerful men and kill all the assassin members and get information on the culprit who hired them.

"What should we do about David? I am starting to hate this bastard more and more." Rosie asked her daughter. Since Laura was the current empress, she let her daughter make the final decision.

Laura did not reply. She looked lost in her thoughts. After about 5 minutes of silence, she finally opened her mouth to speak. "I think David is not the only one who is betraying the Empire."

"Laura is right. People like David only care about money. I am sure other nobles are also doing the same. They are selling the Empire to fill their pockets with money while others suffered a cruel fate." William also had a feeling that they will get information on all the corrupt nobles after raiding the assassin base.

While Rosie, William, and Laura were chatting and discussing their future actions, Elena quietly sat next to Rosie. She was a little sad about leaving this Kingdom. She had just come to a foreign kingdom and now she would have to leave. She was hoping to take a day or two to explore this Kingdom. She at least wanted to try out the specialty of this Kingdom.

"Princess Elena, I apologize but I cannot send you back home yet. I will send a message to your father, to the Dragon King, and ask him to send someone to take you back in secret. Till then you can enjoy this royal palace and stay here."

"Would it be possible for me to go out?" Elena asked. For some reason, she felt a little scared to speak in front of Laura. Her ice-cold face made it difficult for others to approach her.

"I apologize but no. The disappearance of high-ranking adventurer parties is a serious issue for our Empire. Those people must have kidnapped you here for a reason. Until we deal we find the main culprit behind this, you're not allowed to go out." Elena sighed as she nodded her head.

Rosie softly smiled at her and then held her right palm. "Don't worry, after we're done with this, I will personally take you out to play."

"Alright. But Big sister better not break her promise." Hearing this 15 or 16-year-old dragon princess calling her [200+] years old mother big sister, Laura was left speechless. She secretly looked at William and raised her right eyebrow as if asking William what just happened.

William shrugged his shoulders telling her that even he is not sure.

The dragon princess has come to respect this kind lady who was very gentle to her. Elena felt that it would be better to call this young-looking lady her big sister. Rosie was also very satisfied as she didn't wish anyone to call her aunty.

"I will not break my words." Rosie then stood up while holding Elena's right hand. "You two wait here, I will personally show her bedroom and also appoint two maids to look after her." Elena was the dragon princess and also a guest, Rosie personally wanted to make sure that Elena enjoys her stay in the royal palace.

After Rosie and Elena left, Laura walked up to William. Knowing what she wanted, he wrapped his arms around her soft and slim waist and tightly hugged her. "I missed you."

"I missed you as well."

No words were necessary for this situation. Both of them deeply missed each other. If not for her duties as the empress, Laura would have come with William. She personally would have protected William and ensured his safety.

For the next 5 minutes, neither of them said anything. Both enjoyed the warmth and the peace on this quiet and dark night. "What is your current level?" Laura asked after a long time. Laura was also her

"I am level 23." William was very proud. If he had not faced those assassins, it would have taken him some time to reach level 20.

"So fast." Laura was secretly very shocked. When she started leveling up, it almost took her 2 whole weeks to reach level 20. Unlike her mother who was a mage-type fighter, Laura was more like an aggressive fighter. Though her fighting style was not aggressive and brutal as William's.

When she reached level 20 in just two weeks, it was a huge achievement. But how long it has been since William left? Only 5 days passed and William already was close to reaching level 25.

"Congratulations. If you keep leveling up this fast, soon you will surpass me." William naturally knew Laura was saying the latter part as a joke. Laura's level was very high. She is the strongest person in the whole Empire. Her level is even higher than her mother's. Laura is one of those few individuals who stood at the top of the world.

"By the way, when are we going to raid the assassin's base?"

"We.....? Mr. William, only I and the troops are going to that place. Taking you would be the same as calling death." Laura did not want to take William as she felt the assassin base would be too much dangerous for him.

"You are worrying too much." William jumped in front of Laura. The next second he disappeared in thin air.

"How.....You learned a teleportation spell?" Laura asked in disbelief. One had to know that teleportation skills are even rarer than getting a mythical rank skill. Teleportation skills cannot be learned. Only those who are lucky can get this skill when awakening a Star-Blaze.

"This is not pure teleportation skill. This skill has limits. During the night times, I can do instant teleportation within 15 meters range. While I can also use long-distance teleportation but that consumes a lot of mana."
