New Reality

As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Surprise

People started to enter the area where things are announced. The place is spacious as chairs are placed properly with people occupying the seats. On the far side, drinks are placed enough for people inside to have when they thirst.

'Now, this is more a research laboratory.' Gin commented inwardly as he entered the area with a smile under his mask.

Gin's attention was facing forward as he finds a chair to sit on, but he took a quick glance at the floor above the area as he was curious about it after seeing it for the first time.

For others, it may look like a design to make the interior better but weirdly enough, the things used are glasses. Its purpose wasn't even showing the sun outside but just glasses.

Gin knew it wasn't normal design as he knew that people are inside, watching them from the inside. He wasn't sure about it but he wouldn't be risking his eyes just to confirm his suspicion.

What if there's a person looking at him right now?

Letting the thought out of his mind, Gin continued to leisurely walk to find a good place to sit down.

After long thinking, Gin decided to sit at the far back where it is good for not attracting attention.

Sitting down on the edge of the last rows, Gin began to scan his surroundings and everything he saw last week was the same, except for one thing. It was the chairs that is entirely different from his and other chairs.

At the front, six chairs were placed that had some unique designs to them. It was much larger than the others that the people on the back would be unable to see what was on the front.

Gin knew that it belonged to his group as the six chairs were enough for his group if he is excluded. He saw Nash and the others stop, stupefied about the seats they will be sitting in.

Nash asked the instructor, who guided them to their chairs, but he avoided them as the instructor immediately leave. The same could be said to others as the people they asked didn't bother their requests.

Seeing that no one is paying attention, the group hesitantly sits down with a slightly embarrassed expression on their faces. Whatever reason they had, it was still an unnecessary thing to do.

'Pft, hahaha! The successful test subjects were placed with a bunch of trashes. It truly lives to its name.' Gin mused inwardly as he let out a few hiccups, trying to hold his laugh but it was still leaking out.

After they had seated down, the present newies watch them with jealousy, envy, and inferiority in their eyes. It only took a few seconds for it to be gone before they began to talk to the people beside them, trying to form some sort of connection. Some people just stayed quiet.

Gin was the latter but as he do it, he continued to observe everything by only using his normal eyes, deciding to only use his attribute when it was only needed.

Gin moved his attention to the middle of the stage where there is a podium and something circle was flying above it. It was just flying steadily in the air.

'Is it some kind of microphone? That's nice...' Gin thought inwardly as he began to relax, waiting for the events today to happen.

In one part of a room on the upper floors, two people are looking at the newbies through the glasses while laughing happily. They were making jokes about them, waiting for that 'thing' to come.

Minutes passed, as the two doesn't have more topics to discuss, the atmosphere started to get serious out of nowhere.

Hans gets alcohol beside him, drinks the whole of it before asking, "Is that the kid you're talking about?"

Feeling that the topic is switching that way, Colton drew a smile on his face and nodded. The two silently watch Gin, who seems to be doing nothing but they knew that he is observing the area.

Colton then commented, "If you're looking at the masked guy, he is Hans. Hey, can you train that child? I'm sure— Woah!"

Colton couldn't finish the last sentence upon seeing the glare that Hans was giving at him, as he moved his head towards him while speaking about Gin.

"Stop with that glare. We're friends you know? I'm here to help you so you could forget that." Colton said with all honesty.

"You..." Hans paused before he lowered his voice as he continued, "I don't know if you're just playing with me but to be honest, I don't want to feel that kind of thing anymore..."

Understanding what Hans was feeling, Colton put a sad smile as a reply. He knew that he himself lost too many at that time but Hans was even more lost.

Not wanting Hans to misunderstand him, Colton quickly retorted, "Don't worry. I'm not playing this time. I have this feeling that if that kid will be properly trained, he will become like you. Well, only this month my friend."

Seeing his reassuring smile, Hans smiled back and asked. "Then you, Colton. What would you do?"

"I'll teach the sword class of course. If that guy showed stunning results, I'll let him be my apprentice, Hans. Do you know when I came up, I saw his sword burning... the same as mine Hans!" Colton said with sparkling eyes.

Looking at his friend, Hans could only sigh before forming a smile. He then moves his head towards the glass and looks at Gin.

"So I just need to teach him about archery and done?" Hans asks for confirmation.

"You're going to teach everyone in the archery class, my friend. Although he is interesting, some others are just not showing their skills and just waiting for a chance to shine. Well, that's in the letter, right?" Colton answered with a smile.

Hans was silent before scratching his head in annoyance, "I really can't say no to you."

"Of course, you can't. After all, I knew what kind of personality you have." Colton teased as he wore a smirk on his face.

"..."

Hans formed a frown after hearing it from Colton's mouth, but they soon heard the sound on their room's door opening and the voice of the person coming in.

"Woah, you sure are having fun. And, it's surprising that you're here lead— Hans."

The two turned their heads at the door and saw a handsome man coming inside, moving near their seats.

His features are great but the attire he was currently wearing was clothes that are used for sleeping. Adding to his tired face and his action of yawning, they could guess that he had just woken up.

"It's rare for you to come here early, Jacob," Colton asked the man with the name Jacob.

"Well, to be honest, I'm also interested in the rookies. I just wanted to see their faces." Jacob replied as he scratch his head, sitting down between Hans and Colton, "And, I don't want to miss the thing."

"Hmm..." Colton hummed as he watch the newbies before asking, "I keep asking that question inside my head if that is suitable for you. The teaching I mean."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jacob asked as he slightly frown.

"Well, you're a hotheaded person, a guy that loves fighting. It will do no good if you teach one class you know." Colin answered.

"Well, I already solve that me in the past. There is some left but it will be gone." Jacob paused while stretching his hands up. "At least my guild is not losing fame… Oh wait, there is one sitting beside me."

Hitting a sore spot, Colton flinched before he slowly look at Jacob, who is also looking in his direction. The two formed a smile on their faces which is far from a genuine smile. It was more like an annoyed one.

Colton touched the hilt of his sword and Jacob created a ball of mist on his hand with fire on it. It was becoming heated but one person decided to end the brewing fight by just saying the thing they all wanted.

"Hey, will you all stop now?" Hans interjected, "Why don't we just sit down and wait for that thing?"

The two quickly retracted both of themselves due to Hans's order and decided to just sit down, remain quiet until the thing comes.

"..."

"..."

Seeing that it hasn't come yet, Hans decided to talk once more, "Are Pax and Sylvie coming?"

"Maybe they're already in their place, Hans. And..." Jacob paused as he used his elbow to tap Colton's side while moving his eyebrows up and down, "You should go to the other room and meet your Silvie, Colt."

"I have no interest in younger women. And, don't call me Col—sigh..." Colton finally give up by letting out a sigh before he quickly changed the topic, "Since you're here earlier, which newbie did you think would stop the surprise? If, by chance, it happens."

"Hmm..." Jacob touched his chin before narrowing his eyes at the stage, "Well, we're about to find out. Look."

The two followed his gaze and what they saw is a familiar person going up towards the stage. At the moment they saw who it was, the three men formed an evil smile on their faces with a feeling of anticipation.

A woman in her late thirties was seen. Her eyes and long hair have both colors blue. She was supposed to be walking calmly but it was the polar opposite. Her hands subconsciously move without a reason with her body fidgeting every few seconds.

The people watching didn't know whether she was scared or some other reason.

The weird thing was that her head was bent, making everyone watching, who didn't know her, frown.

The woman moves at the mic and stands quietly in front of it. It was then that her mouth began to open as she began speaking... nothing.

No, they could hear something but it was really low.

Although her mouth was moving, the way she talk sounded like a whisper. No, it was more below that.

"..."

Seeing her talking like a mute, the others were becoming enraged as it continued, but they remain calm. They all thought it was a technical error hence they waited for it to be fixed.

"..."

But as it continued, the people remain quiet. It felt like they had no intention of fixing the error. Few minutes passed, the buzzing sound is still heard.

"..."

Gin saw how passionate the woman about her job is but he agreed with others at one thing.

He doesn't hear a shit.

"Hey! What the hell is this?! We can't hear anything!"

Having enough of it, a person loudly complained about the problem with the others agreeing with him. That shout was also enough to trigger others to do the same thing.

"Yeah, replace someone!"

"What the hell?! Just use someone that has a voice will you?!"

"At least she's a beauty... Ow! Hey! Who the hell slap my butt just now?!"

"Replace someone! We can't hear anything!"

Shouts made the place turn noisy and rowdy as the two were mixed. The instructor remains watching as it gets louder any second, yet they didn't even tell them to stop.

They even had a looked of 'I did it on purpose'.

The woman also began to notice it as her mouth was finally stopped moving. She began to concentrate her ears on the newbies as she heard them badmouthing her.

"What..."

And all of a sudden, a voice came out of her mouth.

"W-w-what? Why are you guys being so m-mean? I'm doing my best here you know b-but you all just shouting and laughing at m-me?" The woman stuttered as she told those things to people.

Hearing her finally speaking that was enough for everyone to hear even made the people furious.

"Wow, you can speak? Why you didn't do it earlier?! You just wasted our time here!"

"Are you kidding me? Is that lady playing with us? Then, we want another one that is serious!"

"Yeah! We want another one! We need the good one this time!"

"We want another one!"

"Wow, she is even more beautiful when she speaks... Ow! Shit! Whoever is doing this... I swear to god to find you and kill you!"

It became even noisier after the woman spoke loudly.

Gin, who remained quiet throughout, form a frown on his face as he squinted his eyes to look something at the front.

Not at the teachers or even the newbies. It wasn't even his group he was eyeing right now but currently on the woman. He saw her face changing into something that made him feel scared.

"I was just trying to t-t-teach you guys... I was doing my best to d-d-do it." She stuttered as she stated before she started to mumble all by herself.

The problem is, the mumbling could be heard at the mic and it was making the newbies more annoyed any second.

The weirdest part of it all was the woman's expression. Her expression first turned into a scary one, and then she suddenly laugh like a crazy woman. A few seconds later, she started to cry all by herself.

'What in the world?'

After, she then looked at the newbies with an indifferent smile. But that smile, it was different to know what expression she had.

'What the f—'

"You bastards!"

The woman shouted towards the newbies, at the same time, invisible force flowed within her and that said force goes through the first row as it continued to go at the far back.

Whoosh!

"I was just doing my job! I was— ugh!"

Another invisible force comes.

And another force comes.

"Sniff... why. I was doing my best!"

And another...

"I was just... Argh!"

Each time the woman continued to speak, the newbies pressed their heads to bow harder.

The woman continued to rant and that's when some started to cry, some felt scared as hell, and some are even regretting messing with the lady by telling her to replace someone. It continued that some even peed from their seats.

"Why! Hehehe...!"

It was just that scary force.

"They have done it...." Jacob spoke in a low voice before laughing loudly, "Hahahaha! They have really provoked her! Sigh, why was it so fun to watch them? Well, at least it's making my trauma about it fade away."

On the other hand, the two people beside them were serious. They were focused on the reaction of every newbie on how they would defend themselves from the force.

And one person remained on his seat, unbothered by it.

"Looks like the leader is a strong one," Hans commented, seeing Nash remain his body up.

"Yeah, but the masked guy. I thought he would be the same." Colton replied with a disappointed tone as he move his head at Hans, "Hmm if don't want to, you can return—"

"Nah, I'll go teach here in a month." Hans quickly interjected, "My place is boring and a few people come from it. Besides, I better lose some sweat or I'll be fat in no time."

After Hans said those things, he formed a smile on his face that is far from the smile he keep showing. It was a smile that they didn't see for a while.

The way he said to teach the newbies even though there was little to no chance he would accept it, surprised the two.

On the flip side, Hans really had no intention of accepting the invitation. At the moment the surprise ended, he would immediately leave as it was the only thing he had come here for.

But what change his decision was that in a certain split second, Hans saw Gin remain sitting when the invisible force had come through him before bowing after a second.

He grew interested.

'That guy is funny.' Hans mused before forming a smile, 'There's no way I wouldn't see that.'

It was then they started to talk about what they have been here in the first place. Talking shit about the newbies, telling each other which was the most amusing thing that they saw just now.

The feeling of mocking people was fun for them.

[Truth Eyes-Nullify- has been activated]

'Shit! That was dirty!' Gin cursed inwardly before he wished, 'I hope no one is paying attention to me...'

Gin wanted to think that was the case but he felt shivers as he felt that some are eyeing him, telling in their minds if what they saw was true.
