New Reality

-Read my new book Nightmare Mythos!! As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Fight With All You’ve Got

Although Gin felt that way, he remain expressionless throughout the talk. He let out a soft sigh on his mouth before he proceed to find one body of Fritz's men.

The looking was fast enough as he quickly find a corpse before he proceed to move there, deciding to take its shirt of using the knife he got when he was preparing to go towards the stairs.

Done getting the shirt, Gin immediately goes back to where Fritz is and carries down his body to the ground before he used the shirt he got at one of his men to cover his corpse.

After covering Fritz, Gin stands up and looked at him before he dejectedly sighs once more, "You bastard... You make me look like I owe you something... fuck, if something like that happens..."

Gin instantly removed the thought as it was really impossible for it to happen. He let out a long breath from his mouth before turning around and scanning the whole place where he currently stands.

Scanning the place for a minute, he nodded and thinks that is the same, if not, bigger than the floor below.

The place was full of holes which is entirely different from below as it only has two gigantic holes in there. The place he is now placed had a lot of holes that have different sizes and heights.

Just the sight of some big and large holes would make everyone shrink in fear by seeing it, thinking what kind of monster would come out from it.

But, that was the other people. Besides, he wasn't interested in the holes but it was the two more stairs he could currently see. It piqued his interest as it was not going upward but downward, just like Gin's stairs.

Gin was curious about going in there but remembering what Fritz said made his curiosity die down.

"A lot of monsters, huh." Gin spoke, "How troublesome..."

He cock his head by tilting it slightly on the side before stretching his arms in the air. After doing the two of it, he began to walk slowly towards the center of the big place, waiting for the monsters to come at those large and small holes.

At the entrance of the trial, six people were standing quietly not knowing what to do next.

"Nash, what now?" Kisha asked while looking at the stair with a serious gaze.

After asking the question, she moved her head at Nash, who had been silent after Gin had gone up.

Nash, who is also looking at the stairs, let out a sigh on his mouth before clapping once which attracted the group's attention. Understanding what the clap is, they gathered on him and waited for Nash to say something.

Nash looked at his group one by one before saying the reason why he didn't follow Gin upstairs,

"The reason I don't want to go up for now is... we are too tired. I think you know that it is the case. We've been doing nothing but run towards the whole time, making us worn out." Nash spoke seriously, "I could have stopped him from going up but he seems to be in rush."

Nash paused, "And, what I'm worried about is when I go up from the stairs, you guys might follow me. If someone dies because of my selfish choices..."

Seeing Nash stop, the six people present looked at him silently.

What he just told them was true. The tiredness was already there. Although all of them rest a bit, they knew that once they go up something might happen, making them really exhausted.

All of them now knew why Gin goes up because he was just worried about them.

What they had no knowledge about is that Gin didn't know how to explain why he knew the contract. In the worst case, he didn't want Nash getting suspicious and invites him for a cup of tea later.

All of them are getting anxious as time goes by but they remained focused on their situation. They are not sure whether Gin is alive or not but it quickly changes when somebody reassured them.

"Don't worry, I think Gin is still alive and well at the top." Nash paused before he continued, "So, I'm going up to help him. You guys can just stay. Wait for us here until we came back."

"But Hyung..." Grey spoke in a worried tone as he quickly interjected, "He knows that the enemy is upstairs. Why would he do that?"

"I think it is my fault, Grey." Jasmin confessed and continued, "He has been threatened by Fritz to get him sign a contract. He was good to me and I want to help solve his problem too."

Jasmin paused as she face Nash with a determined face, "So, I'll go with you."

Hearing Jasmin's truthful voice, the others also come to the realization that Gin had been good to them. The past week is already enough.

"I see. Looks like everybody here knew how good a person Hyung is." Grey said with a low voice before giving a nod at Nash, "I'll come too."

"Hahaha, I guess we'll die from fighting, huh," Jia joked as she saw that everyone has finally picked one choice.

"No Jia. Remember what I've told you when we first hunt? 'Surviving is good but surviving with everyone is the best'." Nash spoke calmly, "The same as the first day, we're going to survive this tutorial until the end."

He ended his statement with his usual expressionless face but on the inside, he was really nervous.

He thought that his choice would be a bad one but there is still hope for it. Thinking about the mistakes he had done on the first, he now understands one thing that could help him from changing the first timeline.

Allies that could help him fix it.

The group smiled weakly at each other before all of them gives an agreement to go up together.

One by one, they entered the stairs with resolute knowing the risk of their choices.

"Sigh... I guess this is the karma I get." Gin loudly said as he sits down at one monster in the middle of the gigantic place.

He knew that being in the middle of a circle-shaped form terrain would bring him some benefits, thinking that it could prolong his survivability.

He then moved his gaze above and saw that only a measly three minutes are left at the mist-like screen. Seeing that he only had that time left, Gin let out a sigh before looking below the timer.

He could see that the trial has three phases. Right now, the first phase text was shown but not the context itself, meaning what to do on the first phase.

He also thought that what Fritz's men had gone through was the same as this one. He knew they're strong but here on the ground, they're lying with their guts out.

'I could think of three reasons why they became like that, which could help me at the trial,' Gin mused as he began to think, 'First, the monsters are just too many for them to handle. Second, the monsters are strong with the first one added, it would be just not good. Lastly, their group was dysfunctional because they don't have a leader.'

Thinking those things inwardly, Ginm stretches his arms up before continuing, "Well, it doesn't matter now. I'll just know it eventually."

"Ahh…" Gin exclaimed as he made a sign peace on his hands, acting like he had a cigarette with him, "I wish I can have a cigarette one last time."

As Gin began to act like he was blowing a cigarette, he began to think the words that Fritz had left at him, 'Reason why we are summoned, huh. But, isn't the system already said that we are here to save this world or am I thinking deeply into this...?'

Finding no answer, Gin shakes his head to remove it for now and just focused on the other thing that piqued his interest, 'Another two stairs, huh. Hmm, I wonder what's in there. Is it the same as the stairs I went up to?'

'Hmm, speaking of stairs,' Gin mused as he looked at the stairs where he had gone up and smiled sadly, 'Hmm, I wonder what would be their reaction when they see my corpse. Cry? Nah, they will just feel sad, I guess.'

Gin them moved his head at the timer above, waiting for all its numbers to turn zero. It didn't produce a sound of tickling but it was like any timer he knew.

Tak!

Suddenly, Gin could hear noise coming from the side of the wall. To be exact, it was the stairs he used when he went up from the trial.

Tak

The sound still echoed and Gin finally knew he wasn't hallucinating. Slowly, Gin formed a frown on his face, knowing what the hell is going on.

'Oy, oy, oy, No way...' Gin spoke in disbelief as the people that weren't supposed to be here... were there.

Seeing them running towards him, Gin formed a frown on his face that turned soon into a happy one.

He joked, "Are you ready to die with me? You kids, let's all place our bodies in one place. Hahaha."

"I'm not a kid, you bastard. And..." Jia spoke with a serious tone before she continued, "Did you finish your business with the guy?"

"Yeah, I was able to escape death for…" Gin agreed before looking at the timer above, "... for a minute."

The others could only chuckle as Gin continued to joke around. At the corner of their minds, they really do believe that they will die today but it instantly vanished, when Gin speaks.

"That was when I was alone but now that you're all here, I think I'll be able to survive, All of us can." Gin smiled with a voice of certainty, which made the group think that way for some reason.

Trying to lighten the mood up, Gin glanced half of his head at the group but it only does a little impact as they saw them quite nervous, Nash was an exception.

He quickly formed some encouraging words inside his head before saying, "Hey, we got this. We have Kisha a genius mage, Nash the swordsman, Laura the healer…"

Gin one by one told whatever names he could think that he didn't know the group was looking at him after he was done.

"…See. Our group is a complete and perfect team. So—" Gin instantly stopped as soon as he moved his head to look at the group, who are also looking at him with an expression of disappointment.

"Uncle, your naming sense is just… bad," Jasmin spoke with all honesty as Gin could have done better.

The group also agreed with her statement as they looked at Gin.

"Ah… Is that so? Well, what I'm trying to say is—" Gin said as he began to make excuses which made the group turn happy. Nash remained his expression though.

All of them are grateful for the efforts that Gin is giving to them as they knew he was only doing it to encourage them.

"Yeah, yeah Gin. you can stop—" Laura, who was about to speak, stopped.

Ting!

She was interrupted by something and she wasn't the only ones who have been interrupted by it.

Ting!

Some kind of notification was heard, at the same time, a screen popped up from everyone in front of them.

[Trial of the End is starting]

[Phase 1 is starting]

[Phase 1]

[Kill the incoming monsters] [0/300]

The group suddenly became serious as they looked at the simple context in front of them. Looking at the simple text, they began to be nervous as they knew a battle would come and anything could happen while it goes on.

All of them began to look at Gin and saw his face was unbothered from everything that is currently happening in his surroundings.

'Eh, Three hundred?' Gin mused inwardly, 'How absurd. Do you really give people task like this?'

Then, he began to concentrate and looked at his group which to his surprise, all of them were looking back at him.

"Kuhum, ok gather here and I'll tell you what the plan is." Gin spoke calmly as he saw the group begin to encircle him after he had given an order to them.

"The plan is very simple." Gin quickly spoke after the encircling was done, "I'll be watching you guys and tell you where the monsters will be coming from. Of course, fi something dangerous happen, you can proceed to think on your own and do what will be the best thing to do."

The group listened carefully but they tilt their heads lightly on the side, not knowing what Gin is thinking.

"We have two goals here." Gin spoke calmly, "First, as I've always told you, is to survive. You know it will be like this whenever we do these kinds of things, you know."

[Truth Eyes has been activated]

Gin blink and paused as he began to activate his attribute, "And second, fight with all you've got."

Seeing his eyes, the group was slightly surprised as it was their first time seeing Gin, except Jasmin.

Just by looking, they could see it was beautiful like eyes to never seen once before. On the side, Nash knitted his eyebrows and saw it was different from someone he knew.

After Gin had talked to them, the group started to devise a formation just like what they always formed when they're hunting. Even though Jasmin was new, she placed herself perfectly in the middle with Gin and Laura at her side.

Whoosh!

Nash blade turned into fire. Kisha began to mutter some spells she only knew or already knew. Jia's skin turned red and the same could be said on his eyes. Her muscles were still there but just by looking and feeling, it felt like her strength was increased astronomically.

Whoosh!

Laura started to do hers as she began to give buffs from everyone. Grey has placed himself at the front as a real tanker does. Jasmin began to use her attribute as she began to focus on the surroundings and the surroundings alone.

'What a showoffs…' Gin commented inwardly before he formed a smile on his face, 'Now that I think about it, it is my first time using them and its uses through a battle...'

said inwardly before smiling. 'Now that I think about it. It's my first time using it and its abilities through a battle…'

[Start]

After the screen in front of him said start, Gin slowly blinked his eyes before saying inwardly, 'Synchronization.'

[Syncrhonization has been activated]

As he said the word inwardly, a screen appeared in front of him that only he could see.

[Synchronization…]

'Synchronize Reading Vision with All-Knowing Domain.'

[Synchronizing Reading Vision: All-Knowing Domain]

[Reading All Domain]

Whoosh!

At that time, the group felt goosebumps coursing through their skins. They felt like something invincible was touchingtheir whole body but it was also not touching.

It was a weird feeling.

But as soon as they felt it, all of them subconsciously look at Gin, whose eyes had entirely change.

As if all of them are imprisoned in a cell with Gin as a guard, intently watching them.
