What happened? There can’t be anything wrong with Wyatt. There just can’t be. He isn’t supposed to get sick.
I ignore the people trying to speak to me while I run past them. Normally, I’m not this rude, but this can’t be happening. I have to get to Wyatt. I have to see what is wrong with him.
Mentally, I’m apologizes as I push through the people. However, I can’t seem to open my mouth. If I do, I’m afraid that nothing will come out or only my sobs.
My feet move even faster as I see the hospital come into view.
I can’t fight back the tears anymore as they begin to slowly slide down my face. For the first time since I found out that Wyatt is in the hospital and is unconscious, my voice finally works. While trying to control the pain in my voice, I shout, “WYATT!”
As if I have flipped a switch, everyone that has previously been walking in front of me instantly moves out of my way as my feet pound the ground harder trying to get to Wyatt as fast as I can.
