Win-Win

Ivo still couldn't wrap his head around the scene he'd witnessed. Juju and Lili were behaving with surprising calm, and even the techies were back on the set, head buried in their holopads. Although he noticed the girl techie was holding on to hers with unnatural tightness

"Why did you kill him?" Ivo asked Juju, aware that his voice sounded unsteady.

He had seen people die before. Davi had shot two people point-blank in front of him minutes after he regained conscience after being taken out the box. And yet those deaths hadn't shocked him half as much as seeing Kiko's lifeless body bleed out on the floor.

Was it because he knew him?

That must be it, because he hadn't even liked him much. Objectively his death was no great loss to Ivo, but it still turned his stomach.
