"I knew I felt those spells being casted again..." Yuri said sighing after they entered the living room with Faunus.
"What is happening here? and why is Henrietta suspended in the air, Again?" Faunus asked while pointing at Henrietta who has given-up on kicking and screaming long ago, and was now just laying on her stomach in defeat inside the bubble, sadly watching the others from above.
"I did this...for the greater good, Henrietta has slapped Orange Lady and then kept arguing with Kimberly and disrespecting her." Rapunzel replied.
"That's true Henrietta Did that...Although I was a bit disrespectful too now that I think about it." Kimberly said embarrassed, "You were defending me Darling, that was very noble of you." Lady Orange replied, "Yeah! glad to know you're on my son's team Kim!" Rapunzel said smiling happily.
"Thank you!...whatever that means?" Kimberly replied a little confused.
"I see now...But You know Rapunzel? Ned and Garrick won't like that you imprisoned Henrietta once again, also Henrietta may not forgive you as well this time for attacking her." Yuri said, "Yeah I'm aware of that, I knew what I was doing and did it anyways.
I'm confident in my choice." Rapunzel replied.
Before anyone could say more to Rapunzel, One of Jihi's witches opened a portal inside the living room, "Grand Master Jihi!" The witch said in a worried tone.
Surprised, "Easy child, what's going on? you look like you've seen a ghost." Yuri asked, "Master we need you back in your office, someone is there waiting for you!" The witch said.
"Who's there?" Yuri asked, "It's Grand Master 'Kowa'! "
"What, Kowa is there?! She came all the way from 'El Masabeeh'?" Yuri said surprised, "What brought Kowa to my headquarters?!" They added asking.
But then suddenly, Yuri got an idea on why as they looked over at Rapunzel who was a bit confused by the mage's inspecting stare.
"Grand Master Jihi I have no idea why Grand Master Kowa Is at your office, but from the looks of her Aura, it seems like she's in distress!" The witch explained.
"I think I'm getting an idea on why she'd visit me..." Yuri said and immediately without an explanation, hurried towards the portal with Their witch, leaving the others confused behind.
"What just happened?" Matilda asked, "Who's this Kowa woman?!" Socorro asked.
"Does your friend who just left happens to dabble in some sort of a supernatural business?" Lady Orange asked.
Surprised, "How did you know?" Faunus asked, "The grand Master title is usually given to CEOs of Magical based businesses.
And I happened to know who Grand Master Kowa is." Lady Orange said.
"So that woman also runs a business? what do these people get payed with?" Kimberly asked.
"Sometimes you will find businesses that want money, but often the payments are strange things." Lady Orange replied.
"Yeah, Jihi or Yuri...Usually asks for people's memories as payment, sometimes even lifespan or servitude." Matilda said.
"And Kowa is just the same, the majority of Businesses are somewhat similar in how they work, and usually Their CEOs are of similar characters too.
These CEOs are often lonely, mysterious and with no permanent life Partner, meaning they are usually single and it is rumored to be the work of a curse.
Though some of them do engage in relationships regardless of that, and sometimes they even go as far as Befriending or interfering in ordinary people's lives, if they felt too bored.
That is how Kowa and I came to know each other. " Lady Orange replied.
"So does Kowa run a contract business like Jihi's? or is it something else?" Faunus asked.
"Kowa is a name of Arabic origins, that translates to the English word 'Power', Kowa who is considered to be one of the strongest immortal warlocks and supernatural creatures out there, is also often nicknamed 'the Mother of Genies'." Lady Orange explained.
"Mother of Genies?!" Matilda was surprised and she glanced over at Rapunzel, "What? why you looking at me like that! I don't know this Kowa gurl!" Rapunzel replied.
"From What I have witnessed, you are a genie Rapunzel, so it is impossible for you to not know Kowa as she is the reason You are alive." Lady Orange spoke.
"Huh?! what do you mean?" Socorro asked, "Kowa is the only woman and creature of her kind, that has the ability the make genies, and 'El Masabeeh' is like the home where all Genies live together, like a city or a kingdom that exists under Kowa's ruling." Lady Orange explained.
"A queen too? Such woman exists? and she's in Jihi's office right now? no wonder Yuri was rushing to see her!" Socorro said surprised.
"I still don't get what you said? this Kowa woman made me or something?" Rapunzel said.
"Although it is based mostly on the Arabic culture, 'El Masabeeh' is A country of widespread diversity, as all the Genies there come originally from different places, heritages, races and speak different languages.
And thanks to that diversity, There is this famous poetic explanation in English from 'El Masabeeh' that sums-up the creation of all other genies there, it says:
'Every genie that is alive now was dead once ago, As genies are always made and never born, It all starts when death knocks on your door, And you can feel yourself losing your soul.
Kowa the mother of Genies is watching and she might take pity on you, She will ask you to choose between death or a life where she commands you.
You can say no and die, or you can say yes and a Genie you shall become, And if you work hard enough to make mother proud, she might give you back your freedom.' " Lady Orange said.
"So she saves people's lives in exchange for servitude?" Socorro asked, "Indeed, That is Kowa, She now uses those genies she made for profit, Like make them give people wishes in exchange of some sort of payment that would benefit her and 'El Masabeeh'." Lady Orange explained.
"I don't think I ever met Kowa or worked for her." Rapunzel said, "Which makes me believe that unless you are lying, there is a chance your memories were tampered with after being captured by someone who had a use for a genie like you, and that person clearly did this so they do not have to pay Kowa." Lady Orange explained.
"Captured? Tampered memories?!" Faunus questioned, "Wait, are you suggesting that I was messed with in the head, by my current master?" Rapunzel asked, she was getting slightly irritated.
"So you do have another master other than Kowa after all? then Most likely, that master of yours has tricked you into captivity, I can tell by those shackles of yours...they are not decorative bracelets are they?" Lady Orange said knowingly.
"Should we go see Yuri? maybe you'll get to know something about yourself, Rapunzel." Matilda said, "I don't know...I have a bad feeling about this." Rapunzel replied.
"We cannot make that decision ourselves, we have to wait for Ned and Garrick to come back." Faunus protested.
"I agree with Faunus, Ned and Garrick should know about this before we make any sudden moves...Btw, what do you think is happening with them right now?" Socorro asked.
"Happening with who? Ned and Garrick?" Kimberly asked, "Right, you still don't know what's going on." Socorro replied.
...Meanwhile...
Everyone besides Jasper who went back to the hotel's restaurant, were standing at the entrance of the crime scene, watching through the open doors of the room.
"So even the CSI have a supernatural division?" Garrick asked, "Yeah! all various law enforcement departments have a supernatural division now." Ned replied as he watched the team of Crime Scene Investigators, work.
"Wow, I heard a lot about their work, this is the first time I've seen it with my eyes!" Nashoba said admiring how Ramon guided the team.
He glanced over at the table they placed right outside the room, it was covered with physical evidences in evidence bags, there was also a collection of photographers.
After lightly examining the crime scene the first time on his own, Ramon made a call, and soon enough a team of CSI agents was doing a thorough job combing through the crime scene, collecting forensic evidence.
He also made few calls to the FBI supernatural division, letting them know what he's doing, "Once everything is collected, I'll escort the suspect myself to the facility.
The CSI will send us more evidences later, but for now I want you to examine the list of evidence and photographs I sent you.
Yes! we are handling the case, due to the circumstances of the murder and its victim, it is important That the FBI handle this one." Ramon said before ending the call.
He then walked over to the others standing by the entrance, and immediately a shy Nashoba hid behind an annoyed Fernando.
"What now?!" Fernando whispered angrily at him, "Dude this is so real!" Yurei said, "It is just...like how ordinary...cops work yet...it's really surprising." Tacito replied.
"It's probably because not so many people are involved in supernatural crimes, as they are in human ones." Ramon said, "I honestly had no idea supernatural police was even a thing!" Muriel replied.
"It's because supernatural creatures mostly pretend to be humans, so when they seek help from law enforcement, they always think they're dealing with human officers.
But the truth, supernatural officers can now clearly identify when the victim or culprit aren't human, and they take over these types of cases without alerting anyone's suspicion.
Often when the people involved are supernatural, the officers would expose that they're also Supernatural creatures to the family of the victim to explain why they took over the case." Ramon explained.
"Do you guys have humans working with you? like your sister did?" Garrick asked, "Oh absolutely! many human officers are aware of the supernatural ones!
There's also humans at the FBI division' working with us supernaturals for various reasons." Ramon replied.
"WOW! Btw It's amazing...the way you switch from goofy to serious while you work." Jade said, "Gracias, I supply what the job needs, and if it needs Serious me, then so be it." Ramon replied smiling a little, but his smile faded as he glanced over his shoulder to see an agent zipping the bag they placed Edward's body in.
"He's really dead...I wish he got arrested back then, I would've gotten to see him get executed." Ramon said sighing.
Suddenly, "Ned...can I talk to you alone?" Garrick asked, "Yeah, let's talk while we go to the restaurant, I wanna check on Jasper." Ned replied and the two left the group.
"Btw, what should we do now?" Yurei asked, "Ugh, you're all so annoying...We'll leave obviously!" Fernando replied.
"Let's ask Big brother when he comes back." Nashoba said.
"What do you think Garrick wants to tell Ned in privacy?" Muriel whispered, "I don't know...but since Garrick...is gonna be...an FBI agent...maybe he's asking...Ned some questions...about the job." Tacito whispered back.
Hesitant, "Hey, Ramon...You must've been disappointed to know That My mother was involved in that deal to wipe everyone's memories." Jade said taking the opportunity that Her parents are away, "Big brother had no choice...I'm aware of how fragile Jasper's mental state was at the time, and big brother wanted more than me or anyone else to see Edward get punished, but he's a parent after all.
What choice did big brother have? his own son tried to kill himself." Ramon replied.
"But it's still unfair...
All the other victims didn't get the justice they deserved because one kid wanted to..." Yurei said, "Letting Edward go free was an inconsiderate decision...but I don't think blaming a traumatized 15 years old Jasper is necessary Yurei!" Fernando replied angrily, his response was oddly compassionate, surprising everyone else.
