"We spoke for long, it is pretty late tonight so you might as well go back to sleep, Pookie."
"Pookie?"
"I thought of this nickname yesterday, at the cake shop! you were being adorable and goofy Lucius.
My favorite part was whenever your face turns red when our eyes meet."
Lucius whole face heated up instantly, " Oh there it is!" Aroon pointed at him smiling.
"Umm I-well It's... because*mumbling* you're so pretty and nice."
"Although I didn't understand a word of what you said Dear, I shall take it as a compliment...
So, thank you! pookie." Aroon replied, giggling to himself.
"Am I in heaven?" Lucius said.
"No silly haha! why would you say that?"
"I am being watched over by a beautiful guardian angel who calls me pookie, how is this not Heaven?"
"It is endearing to think, that you ignored the aura of dark magic around me and considered me to be an angel." Aroon replied, his tone started to get a little serious.
"Oh!" Lucius was surprised by his statement, he didn't expect Aroon to know he could see his Aura.
" No need to be surprised pookie! I can see your aura as well, and I can assure you that although I'm no angel, I'm still worth trusting, I promise not to harm you." Aroon spoke again smiling.
"By the way Aroon..."
"Yes?"
"When you helped changing my clothes, did you happen to see the gemstone on my necklace glowing as well?" Lucius asked, "Ah! yes! I did actually!" Aroon replied while standing from his seat, then he walked to the closet.
Earlier in the day when Ned ordered him to bring Lucius to his house, Aroon could feel how uncomfortable Lucius seemed, asleep in his suit.
So Aroon took it upon himself to change the alpha into a pajama, and neatly placed Lucius's belongings away, including his necklace.
Aroon came back with the piece of jewellery in his hand, and he sat back down on the chair next to Lucius's bed, before handing Lucius the necklace.
"Here, I must admit, this necklace is nowhere close to ordinary! I've never seen such a formidable work made by anyone other than Masters Ned and Jasper." Aroon commented which made Lucius smile with pride.
Wearing his necklace back, "You have no idea how these words make me happy, this is my mother's work!...
This necklace, it only glows under special circumstances, Mother made these to help people find-" Lucius stopped as he noticed his necklace was glowing again.
"Oh! it's glowing again!... Anyways you stopped talking? is it because it is a secret that I'm not supposed to know? it is fine if you choose not to tell me." Aroon said.
"N-no no it's just...That I don't know how to say this without feeling like-"
"Lucius dear it's absolutely fine to not tell me.
Anyhow I must leave you for a bit, I need to check if master Jasper has yet returned home or not."
"Wait!...you can see it glow right?!"
"Yes I do, you already asked me about it."
...Meanwhile...
"Should I tell Yurei?" Jasper asked,
"Are you mad at me or something?" Ned replied.
"Fine...but answer me this Mom, why didn't you send Garrick and Jade to Jihi? why Fernando's?"
" Jasper... ugh, alright I'm telling you this but no one should hear about it for now, okay?" Ned said, The two were standing outside The room Lucius was occupying.
Ned had actually came there, to check on the Shy Alpha when Jasper stopped him at the door.
"Fernando gave me the first clue on how to get everyone's memories back." He said,
Jasper's eyes went big, "You serious? what is it?"
"Lucius, he was his first victim from our group, if he doesn't regain his memories no one else will, we need to get Lucius's memories back first."
"How are we going to do that?"
" I don't know, for now I'll see what I can do about it, but keep this between us and don't tell your sister."
Frustrated, "Ugh, fine." Jasper replied before opening the door.
"It's because we're meant to be Soulmates! only soulmates can see this necklace glowing!" Lucius's voice traveled to Jasper's ears as he opened the door.
Stunned, Jasper froze in his place while staring at them.
Aroon hadn't noticed him yet, "Are you telling me, only you and I can see it glow... Because we're supposedly meant for each other?" Aroon spoke in disbelief.
" Yes! I...I was planning to ask you about the glowing in the karaoke bar but when our plans got interrupted I-" Lucius stopped talking again as he noticed both Jasper and Ned, and got confused by their presence.
Aroon had turned his head to see as well, his eyes briefly met with Jasper before the violet-eyes omega left the room in a hurry.
" Jasper wait!" Ned called after him but his son had already left the room, "Is he alright? what happened to him?!" Aroon asked immediately, "He'll be fine, Just stay with Lucius And try to avoid Jasper for some time."
" Avoid him?! why?!" Aroon spoke puzzled by the request, "Trust me." Ned replied leaving the room as well.
"What just happened?!" Lucius asked confused by everything.
Closing the door behind him, Ned felt his heart ache badly, he knew where Jasper Would be now, hiding in his room like he always does whenever he's hurt.
But Ned also knew that Jasper wouldn't let him in easily, the only person that Jasper opens up to quickly, is his sister.
So Ned picked up his phone as he walked to his son's room, while clicking on her number.
*Beeb*
Jade: Hello? Hey Mom! why are you calling me this late? well it's not like I'm asleep anyway, I just came back to my room from having coffee with Garrick...that guy doesn't know sleep!
Ned: Jade...
Jade: You sound off, tell me what happened?
... Few minutes later...
Jade: I've been hearing you knock so many times, just give up on him opening that door because he's probably going to imprison himself in his room for few days.
Ned: What do you think I should do?
Jade: This gonna sound weird but...just hug him.
Ned: Hug him? that's it?
Jade: You hug us all the time, that's what I'd do if I was in your place!
I always hug Jasper whenever he's down, I know because I hurt him couple of times especially with how I talk ... just give him a hug whenever he comes out of his room.
Ned: I don't think he's coming out of this room at all...
Jade: Just tell someone to notify you when he's out, and hug him first then talk.
If he started crying that's good, he'll be finally ready to talk about it...if he doesn't wanna talk don't push him, just stay quiet!
Ned: I don't get it, why he's okay showing his weakness to you, but doesn't trust me with his problems? you can probably write a book on how to deal with him, while I can't write a page!
Jade: Cuz we're twins duh! and don't take it seriously mom, you're a good mom, you always try your best, that's why Jasper doesn't like to bother you.
He knows how you're already dealing with so much...he just doesn't want to add you more trouble.
Ned: you gotta be kidding me you two! I didn't give birth so you guys can struggle on your own...how long has it been since you've been born?!
Jade: We know! that's why we love you endlessly mom... you're not the best parent in the world, but you're the best for us.
Ned: heh? is that how you compliment me?
Jade: hey! I'm doing my best to be nice here, take it or leave it.
Ned: wow thanks jade... really.
Jade: no problemo! unless you're being sarcastic... btw I know you were texting Your Daddy earlier~
Ned: alright I'm hanging up! goodnight!
Jade: wait I'm joking!
*Bleep*
Sighing, "This little shit." Ned said to himself smiling, " You know what? fuck this!" he said pulling out his pocket watch, and resetting the time.
...[going back in time]...
"Don't open it!"
"Huh" Jasper turned back, his hand left the doorknob, "Hey? weren't you beside me? how did you come from behind?"
"Can you come with me for a second Jasper?" Ned said holding his hand in his, " I guess so? where are we going mom?"
Ned kept silent until the two made it to the kitchen, he finally freed Jasper's hand and Opened the fridge, grabbing two buckets of ice cream for them and spoons.
"Here take one."
Still suspicious, "Oh-Okay?" Jasper picked a bucket.
The two sat down next to each other with spoons in hands, Ned already opened his bucket, taking a spoonful of ice cream and shoved it into his mouth.
"OUCH! BRAIN FREEZE!" he shouted causing Jasper to laugh, "Haha you got what you deserve!"
"HEY!"
"Seriously mom, why did you bring me here?"
Instead of answering his question, Ned placed the bucket away and hugged his son, it confused Jasper even more but he hugged him back, " Mom?"
"Can you tell me about Aroon?"
"What...oh! is this what all of this is about?"
"Yeah, we both know that Aroon already has his someone."
"I see..." Jasper spoke quietly, his eyes began welling up with tears.
....Meanwhile.....
"Your poor vision is actually related to your reptilian Gene?!"
"Yeah! I've always needed glasses! actually my hearing is slightly better than lotta of my kind...fun fact I can smell things like food from my tongue!"
"That is mind boggling, sugar."
"Reptilians have been mixing for generations, we're basically human too.
We even had kids with other types of Humanoid Beasts, Like in my case.
But usually The reptile genes Don't mix with other beast genes, you can't have half this and half that.
For example I manifested into a komodo dragon like my father, but my mother is a pegasus."
Muriel choked on his lemonade, " I am sorry WHAT?! *coughs* pegasus?! as in those flying horses?!"
"Are You Alright Babe?!" Thorn asked patting him on the back, " I am fine, you had me by surprise."
"You're the one who wanted to know more... I myself don't know that much about my own kind either."
"You still know more than I do sugar! Jesus!"
" Did these informations scare you?" Thorn asked.
Nodding, " Honestly a little.
I read on Zikipedia that the real Komodo dragon out there, I mean the actual animal, might cannibalize their own newborns."
"I would never eat my own hatchling!" Thorn spoke confidentially, "My dad didn't try to eat me as far as I know."
"Hatchling?"
"Name for baby Dragons?...and I swear on anything valuable, that stuff will never happen! you have the right to unalive me if I attempted to do so!
True, that the real komodo dragons, the ones we see on documentaries eat their young, but even then, they do it rarely when there's no food left at all!"
"Hmmm." Muriel stared at him distrustfully, "I swear babe, look at me! I'm more than 50% human, besides I prefer cake over babies anytime of the day." Thorn spoke in defense of himself.
Muriel finally relaxed, he smiled at Thorn "promise me one thing."
"Yeah?"
"When our hatchling...hehe it sounds like a good nickname for the baby!"
" it is." Thorn replied chuckling as well, "When our baby is born, can you promise me you will be there...in all of their important moments in life?" Muriel asked while holding Thorn's hands.
"We're not granted anything, not today not tomorrow not even the next minute! but I promise you with my life, that as long as I'm breathing and on my feet, I'll do my best not to miss out on this experience, nor ditch any of you guys...we're a family now right?"
"Right sugar! we are."
