Chapter 57 : Competition.

As you already know, today we are going to assess your ability in combat that you already learned during your time in the academy.

You are going to compete with each other in this little tournament that the academy is going to hold.

The purpose of the academy making this competition is to make sure you can apply the knowledge that you already learned during your time in the academy.

And remember although winning is going to be your aim during this competition, for my personal opinion the one who is able to make this competition become their learning experience to help themselves move forward is going to become the true winner.

You still have a long time in the academy to learn more about becoming ninja, inheriting the will of fire that your elder was fighting for to give you stable time to learn during your time in the academy.

Do your best, all the score that goes to your report card is not going to be decided by you winning or losing the combat so you don't have to worry too much.

And remember any lethal attack towards your fellow classmates is going to make you be disqualified from the competition. ]

After hearing his teacher speak Kai was a little glad with the rules of the competition, because he was a little worried that it was going to make the class atmosphere become tense if they thought the match they were facing was not fair.

Imagine facing Hyuga Neji in your first fight who everyone knows was very strong even only using his taijutsu alone when they sparred with each other in hand to hand combat.

Getting a low grade in your report book because of it is going to leave a bitter taste in whoever is facing him.

Also the first time the tournament was announced he was wondering what was the purpose of it but after hearing the advice that his teacher gave during the speech, his opinion about this competition is becoming better.

After all this competition can become the source of learning for the one who came from a normal background to at least have a way to get the knowledge that the children from the clan can only have.

He also thought this competition makes hokage know if there's a hidden gem that came from civilians that can grow beyond their peers even though facing the disadvantage that they had.

After the speech that the teacher delivered all the students were asked to wait in the side of the field before their names were called.

Kai saw one by one his classmates were called to the field and fighting in the competition, some of them were really interesting and some of them were really funny.

He also saw Toka who was going to become the first one who was called among his deskmates to fight in the competition but unfortunately he wasn't able to see much of his insects in action because he was able to defeat his opponent using only his taijutsu.

After waiting for a while his name was finally called, the moment he knew who's going to be his opponent he knew it was going to become an interesting fight.

"Do your best Kai."

"Thanks Kanna."

He walked to the center of the field and looked at the one who's going to become his opponent in his first fight.

"Might Kai…, Rock Lee…, Give your opponent a sign of confrontation."

He gives his sign of confrontation and looks to rock lee who also does the same with the face full of determination.

"Let's do our best Lee."

"All right, I don't going to forgive you for not giving your all, Kai"

After the match begins Kai runs straight towards Lee who seems to have the same intentions as him and they both do a flying kick that collides with each other.

He was able to overpowered him by his kick that made rock lee retreat a few steps back.

Before rock lee stabilized himself, Kai already delivered his second strike and almost hit it in the stomach but his kick was able to be dodge in the last second.

He keeps overpowering rock lee with all of the strikes he makes and dodge everythings that comes to him with ease because of the new power that he had.

Because he knows the best thing he can do to Rock Lee is to become fuel to motivate him to keep going on his training.

After fighting for a while he was able to defeat Rock Lee who still wanted to keep going even though his body was full of bruises and wounds that the teacher needed to bring to medical-nin who was already standing by at the edge of the field.

While watching rock lee getting taken away to the edge of the field he saw him smiling towards where he was even though he was sure that rock lee was holding his pain.

It makes him think maybe he needs to Introduce rock lee to his father much sooner than they supposed to.

After all, he sometimes gets challenged from rock lee to do a taijutsu battle and always wins because of the difference of their resources and the fact that he also has a cheat make him feel it was not a fair fight.

This is also going to be beneficial for him to have a friend in taijutsu training to help him not slack off in his training.
