Chapter 13- Let’s become stronger together, okay

Kakashi's POV:

After dad left, we sat on the ground under the shade of a tree. Today's spar is really exhausting, and we also saw the difference between our strength and father's, he is really strong.

I wipe the sweat on my forehead, leaned on the tree, and close my eyes to rest, but I heard a rustling sound beside me, and when I open my eyes, I saw Haru's face close to mine as he stares at me, and I ask

"What's wrong, Haru?"

He looks at me and at my arm that was bruised due to the spar, he sighs and raises his arm towards me. Knowing what he wants me to do, I look at the arm full of bite marks and just smiled at him and said,

"It's okay, Haru it's just a bruise and it will heal"

However, hearing my answer he pouts, and I just sighed and did what he wanted, I bite on his arm and the usual sweet and refreshing taste flowed into me, his chakra healed my wounds and invigorates me, I am not gonna lie, I like biting him but I always felt bad about the bite mark it leaves.

Haru's arms are already full of bite marks, but he still lets me bite him. As I felt my wounds heal and my stamina replenishes, I stop biting him and said my thanks, but he answered angrily,

"I always told you not to say thank you,"

I just smiled at him and said, "Hehe, my bad"

He sighs and then he leaned close to me, I am confused as to what he will be doing and to my surprise, he laid his head onto my lap and lay supine on the ground. He giggled at my confused look and said,

"The ground is very hard, I can't rest well, your lap is very soft so lend it to me, will you?"

I stared at him dumbfounded but I just nodded my head, he smiled, and he closes his eyes. After a while, his breathing calmed down and he seems to be sleeping peacefully, well it is really a miracle that he can sleep instantly just after he closes his eyes.

I stared at his sleeping face and thought,

'Training with him is really fun, he is hardworking, and very determined, aside from that he is also a genius, well they say the same to me as well but I always knew that he is smarter than me. Although it puts me under a lot of pressure since I am older, although it is only two months. But it is also a good thing since I can improve by the pressure.

I am just happy that we can train together, I always thought that he always did things easily but when he fell down the tree, my heart stops, and before I knew it my body moves on its own, and I already rescued him. I never thought that I have that kind of strength when he is in danger.

My hands trembled because of fear when I heard him scream, I don't want him to get hurt, that's why I want to become stronger to protect him, not only him but also dad, aunt, uncle, and even Kushina-nee.

While thinking of this, a strand of his hair is blown by the wind to his sleeping face, I reach out and tried to fix his hair, but Haru suddenly opened his eyes, he stared at the hand near his face and look at me questionably.

I stop my hand but after thinking for a bit, I still reaches for the hair that is blown and fix it and I quickly took back my hand, Haru stared at me in surprise but quickly smiled and said,

"Thank you, Kakashi"

I stared at his smiling face, and cannot help my heart beats faster but quickly said, "It's nothing, look, dad is almost here, quickly get up"

Haru also notices him coming and stood-up, he also helps me to stand up.

Dad smiled at us and said,

"Well, now that you have rested, I will give this to the two of you"

He said before, bringing out two papers and gave us each, I look at it and it reads,

"Academy Entrance Application?"

Dad smiled and said, "Yes, since the two of you are already five years old, you can now join the academy after you pass the entrance exam"

"But dad, Haru is still four," I said

"Well, his birthday will be next week, so it is still good since the test will be two weeks from now"

I nod at him and Haru asks,

"Uncle, there is an entrance exam in the academy?"

"Yes, there is, for civilians, they should know how to read and write, so there is a written exam and for ninjas, aside from the written exam, there is also a practical exam, don't worry you just need to show 1 of the three academy jutsus, even if you did not do it perfectly as long as you can mold chakra you can pass the test."

"Okay, now we will go home since it is already time for dinner"

They arrive at Haru's house and Rin greeted them.

"Welcome back, Sakumo-nii"

Sakumo nodded at her, and she told the kids to wash for dinner. After washing they all sat down and eat our dinner and talk about various things.

"That's right, Rin, Sosuke, next month, I will be out for a longer time," said Sakumo

"Sakumo-nii, is it true that, there is a looming war again?" ask Sosuke

"I am afraid so, small movements are coming from both Iwagakure and Sunagakure, so the Hokage wants us to prepare for war just in case"

"But the last war only ended last year, and now there is another war?" Rin asks

Let us have a retreat or a picnic near the lake on Haru's birthday next week."

"Then I will go shopping tomorrow, Haru and Kakashi, are you going to join me?"

Haru and Kakashi looks at Rin and just nodded their heads, Rin smiled and Kushina said,

"Wait, Nee-chan, I will also go with you, and can I also invite Minato? -Tebane"

"Ara~ sure you can invite him, well, we can't leave your cute boyfriend behind, can we?"

"Nee-chan, you always bully me - Tebane"

They all laugh at that and Sosuke said, "Oh right, honey, why don't you also invite, lady Tsunade to come"

Rin eyes widen and say, "Okay, I will invite her, but I am not sure if she will come, it's been two years since then, although I visit her from time to time, she still likes to drink and gamble and be alone"

"Well, I think if we bring sake she will come,"

Rin's eyes lit up and said, "Okay I will tell her, and I will buy more sake,"

After that, they all talk some more before they retired for the day.
