Chapter 19 - Rin

''Calmed down a bit?'' Sukuna said as he sat next to the coffin where Rin was trying to hide in.

She peeked out her head and let out a small hum. Her mood seemed to be complicated, she was happy that she might have another chance at life but very scared of why Sukuna had reincarnated her. She felt that she couldn't go against his orders if he wished to do something to hear which terrified her.

''I understand you're scared, but I won't force you to do anything. I merely need your help with something'' Sukuna said seriously as Rin peeked her head out of the casket.

''Please tell me honestly, can you feel the direction of the Three Tails' Chakra?'' Sukuna dropped a bomb on Rin's head as flashbacks of her last moments replayed.

She squealed and hid inside the casket once more.

Sukuna just sat there for ten minutes until she finally calmed down, he knew that coming close to her right now would just be damaging to her instead of helping her.

Rin climbed up from the casket while trembling as her tear-stricken face lightly nodded and said while holding a hand on top of her chest, ''I..i can feel the general direction because we died together, the seal points me to where it is''

Sukuna's face lit up as he started laughing so loudly that it scared Rin to the point she was trembling heavily.

He sensed her mood and stopped laughing. He stood up and put a pair of clothing he prepared beforehand for her on the ground and said, ''For now you will have to stay inside as I can't let your old friends see you yet''

Rin trembled and asked in fear, ''Is Kakashi still alive?''

Sukuna nodded which caused her to smile beautifully as Sukuna hesitated and eventually let out a sigh as he said, ''Not only him. Which is why I choose you to reincarnate''

Rin's purple eyes looked at him in confusion as he said, ''Obito is still alive''

As his words fell, Rin's expression fell into disbelief as she said, ''That's impossible!! He was crushed under those rocks!''

Sukuna just shook his head and said, ''Part of his body was, then someone found him, saved him, and is planning to use him for their own purposes''

Rin gulped and asked, ''what purposes?''

''Bringing everyone into their own dreams, forever dreaming of the life they want to live as if it was reality'' Sukuna said seriously as Rin tried to find words and eventually asked, ''But... is that bad?''

''For that purpose, they need all the Tailed Beasts Chakra. Which is one of the reasons why I want the Three Tails myself, so he has to find me. However, I have enemies myself as well. The higher-ups in the village don't really like my Clan and would love to see it disappear'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile.

''So we are still in the Hidden Leaf?'' Rin asked expectantly to which Sukuna nodded and answered,

''Yes, we are. However, when I try to deal with the people wanting to hurt my clan. Obito will most likely try something, that is where you come in. He saw you die, after that, he lost his mind'' Sukuna said seriously to which Rin wanted to say something but couldn't muster up the courage to do so.

''I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is Sukuna, Sukuna Senju. The current Patriarch of the Senju's'' Sukuna said with a small smile as he carefully extended his hand to the girl.

''Wait?! Tsunade's Clan?!'' Rin's shocked voice made Sukuna smile bitterly before nodding his head.

''But you look like you're my age!'' Rin said before quieting down, almost forgetting the situation she was in. She somehow didn't even feel threatened by him, from start to finish he merely explained things to her and even asked her to do things instead of just forcing her so reflexively let her guard down.

''I know, I know, I'm young okay?'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile before saying, ''I will have my clan make some preparations for the Three Tails, I'm afraid if I don't get it soon, they will lose their patience''

Rin nodded her head hesitantly as Sukuna motioned for her to follow him upstairs. The two of them walked up the stairs as Sukuna continued talking,

''For now you will stay at my place for a while, only people I trust come here. In a few days we will have our compound safe from the telescope of the Hokage's Office, then you can walk outside as long as you stay inside the Senju Compound and either have me or Akai, one of my most trust people, at your side. That is the most freedom I can give you right now, I'm sorry for that'' Sukuna smiled bitterly which made Rin shake her head.

''I'm already happy that I might see my friends again one day, although I would love to meet them right now, I understand that circumstances don't allow me to do so'' Rin said with a beautiful smile as Sukuna internally sighed,

'To think this little girl caused an entire Ninja War'

As Sukuna sighed, he felt a piece of cloth hit his face which caused him to reflexively step back.

''Ah! Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. It's just... I wanted to remove the dried blood on your face'' Rin said with a bitter smile.

Sukuna's heart calmed down as he said, ''Don't worry about it, it's just blood. Regarding your reincarnation, it isn't exactly perfect since you can't extend your Chakra Capacity right now, but I will fix that over t-...''

''But I can..." Rin softly interrupted to which Sukuna froze as he looked at her in confusion.

''Wait.... so that means your original Chakra Pool couldn't grow bigger because they were your own Chakra Pathways, it means they were blocked instead of your Chakra Pool. So that means that using the Great Reversal technique gave you new and better pathways by using the sacrifices and made you able to grow stronger'' Sukuna mumbled as Rin interrupted with a confused tone, ''Sacrifices?''

Sukuna smiled bitterly and looked at her before saying, ''I'm not a good person Rin. However, I am honest at least''

Rin wanted to say something but couldn't find any words and just changed the topic, ''What are you dreams, Sukuna-san?''

''A peaceful life with my clan'' Sukuna replied straight-forwardly as they arrived at the 4th floor, which only had his huge bedroom above it.

They entered the room next to the stairs as another huge bedroom appeared in Rin's eyes, there was even a bathroom connected to it.

Rin looked at the beautiful furniture and asked with hesitation yet visibly excited, ''Are you sure you want me to stay here?''

She had thought she would have to stay in a closet or something, yet it was clear Sukuna didn't look at her as a slave, which also made his promise of letting her go seem more realistic.

''Your back should hurt from laying in that casket for so long, why don't you try out the bed? It's very soft and it bounces greatly'' Sukuna said with a grin as Rin could barely hold it in after seeing the fluffy pillow and blanket.

Sukuna sighed and appeared behind her as he kicked her butt, which made her fly through the air as she yelped and held her hands behind her rear.

She landed on the bed face first and climbed up from the king-sized bed with a wrong expression as she saw Sukuna bursting out in laughter.

''Not funny! It hurts...'' Rin pouted as she patted her butt. Sukuna leaned against the doorpost with a slight smile on his face as Rin softly whispered, ''Thank you''

Sukuna just looked at her with a confused expression as she explained,

''For giving me a second chance, I.... I didn't want to die yet but had no choice'' Rin said with small tears in her eyes.

''Don't thank me, I am planning on using you for the Three Tails and Obito. Without the Three Tails, my clan would lose plenty of people while just trying to defend themselves'' Sukuna replied bluntly to which Rin shook her head,

''Even so, I'm still thankful'' Rin smiled with a wide smile which even Sukuna couldn't help but feel his heart stir before he shook his head with a bitter smile.

''Get used to your new place, you can use everything in here, whether they are scrolls, materials or something else. Just notify someone to get more if there isn't much in stock of something'' Sukuna turned around and waved as he went downstairs where Akai was waiting after being notified by a clone.

Rin looked at Sukuna's departing figure before falling back on the back as she looked at the ceiling, her mind racing with thoughts.

'Obito.... Kakashi..... I wonder what faces they will have once they see me' Rin smiled as she thought of what Sukuna said about Obito. It seems that there was a lot of work she needed to do.
