Chapter 9-The village without Naruto Uzumaki

Sasuke POV-

An hour has passed since everyone heard about Naruto's death but for everyone else this one hour felt like forever. Tsunade and Jiraiya remained silent looking at the floor. Hinata was still crying thinking it was just a bad nightmare while everyone else was flooded with regret and sadness. Another hour passed just like that and everyone started to go back. Hinata passed out due to shock and too much crying and was moved to the hospital.

'That idiot. Why did he work so hard to bring me back if he just had to die so soon.' Sasuke thought to himself bitterly.

A few days passed just like that and They were having funeral for Naruto but not many people were present there. Only the people Naruto knew closely were present at his funeral which greatly shocked his friends and they started to realize how alone Naruto actually was. But it was too late for regrets.

A week passed and talks about Naruto's death had spread all over the village, But not everyone was sad or affected by it. Some were even happy while taking about it. "Finally the demon brat is gone..."He should've died sooner.." Everywhere Sasuke went he would hear those words about Naruto which enraged him to no end. But he wouldn't do anything now, No one would.

"What's done is done!" Sasuke thought lying on top of the Hokage staues where Naruto usually laid alone. "I will... No I must get stronger. Strong enough to kill Itachi. Strong enough to find how and who killed Naruto and avenge him." Sasuke said with strong determination in his eyes.

Meanwhile Sakura watched him from afar. Fear and regret taking over her heart and mind everytime she tried to go near the cliff. "Mind if I go with you." someone said from behind Sakura. When she turned around she saw Hinata approaching her, Her eyes completely red. "Hinata! Are you okay?" Sakura asked worrying about her.

"Yes, I'm fine." Hinata replied. "Naruto-kun came here quite often." Hinata said looking at the cliff. "Yeah." Sakura replied and both of them went silent.

"But Naruto-kun would get mad at us if we kept crying all the time. He would probably tell us to cheer up and be happy. Right?!" Hinata said tears forming in the cornor of her eyes. "Yeah, He probably would." Sakura too had tears in her eyes. "I've decided. Sakura-san. I'm going to get stronger and become Hokage. For Naruto-kun." Hinata suddenly declared wiping her tears. Sakura was astonished for a moment and then, "Yeah, You're right. I'm also going to get stronger and aim to become Hokage." Sakura also declared wiping her tears.

Sasuke soon noticed Hinata and Sakura coming towards the cliff and decided to move to give them some space. Sakura and Hinata saw Sasuke leave but didn't say anything to him. And watched over the scenery for a while in silence before heading home.

Tobi's POV-

"Was killing him really necessary?" Zetsu asked Tobi. "And what are you going to do this with this clone? I thought faking his death with this clone would've been more than enough." Tobi was silent for a moment and then smirked.

"Heh! You'll see...."
