I had some ideas for a Naruto Fanfiction that I haven't really read yet anywhere and decided to write it down myself. Especially with the additional Canon of the Boruto Manga (not the Anime, don't watch it) makes my Ideas more likely. ------------------------------- For 10+ more advanced Chapters visit P_a_t_r_e_o_n.com/QuillArcher Thank you for your support. ------------------------------- All content belongs to their respective owners. Chapter 9: Academy Days Final

Tekku watched from a window on the second floor of the Academy Library as the first-year students sparred in the training grounds. Naruto and Sasuke were called into the ring, and the dark-haired boy was cheered on by a group of girls, much to the visible displeasure of the Uchiha.

'Damn, they start young. When I was their age in any of my lives, I had different interests. Well, I was never female, so maybe they are different? Still, that shouldn't be normal,' thought Tekku as he watched Iruka start the fight between Naruto and Sasuke. It didn't last long, as Sasuke clearly had more experience than Naruto, who was nothing more than a shunned orphan. Around this time, Sasuke still trained with Itachi and Shusui from time to time, and the other Uchiha clan members should also be happy to help out.

After a short match, it ended with the blond-haired boy landing outside of the ring on his butt, and Iruka calling the match to an end. Tekku chose this moment to return to his reading, as he finally had access to more information on chakra. Well, it wasn't much information on actual application, mostly chakra theory and similar concepts. But multiple advanced concepts that only appeared later in the series were mentioned and explained, like chakra natures, shape manipulation, and the like. Though there were no detailed explanations on how to train them, only that they existed, what they were, and how they worked.

As for jutsu, there were a few ninjutsu of rank E, while for genjutsu, there were three: one E-rank, one D-rank, and even one C-rank. Even if there weren't a lot, it couldn't hurt to learn them, as most of them, even with a small effect, were quite useful to have. Besides, they were the ones required to complete their respective electives.

Since the electives would begin next week, it didn't hurt to start early with them. First, he checked out the genjutsu category. The first one, the C-rank, affected the vision of the target, called Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique. This technique layered an illusion over a location, causing it to look like a different location. Because of how wide an area the illusion could be placed over, it made it easy to trick others: anyone who entered the area would be affected by the illusion and see the false location. Quite useful but easy to discover for anyone familiar with genjutsu or good observation.

The D-rank jutsu was Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique, the one Kakashi used on Sakura during their Bell Test. Even though its effect was more extreme than the False Surrounding technique, it could be easier to identify as an illusion and break. The target was confronted by its greatest fear at that moment.

Lastly, there was the E-rank genjutsu, the only voice-based one in the library, called Voice Mimic. It was pretty self-explanatory—it allowed the user to change his voice into someone else's that he had heard before. Simple but useful, good for infiltration.

Meanwhile, the ninjutsu had far less application in combat or enemy situations but were more useful for the survival aspect of the shinobi life. There were five simple elemental jutsu for each element, with almost no offensive power.

First, there was Fire Style: Ember, a jutsu creating a small flame to start a fire. Then, there was Earth Style: Soften, where you touch the ground to send a pulse into it that softens it, good for creating a soft sleeping spot or making a fire spot. Next, there was Water Style: Condensation, which gathered moisture from plants, the ground, and the air to obtain drinking water. Pretty useless in the desert, but everywhere else, not bad. Then, there was Lightning Style: Light, which created a glowing bubble above one's palm, harmless but giving off light. The most useless one of the five was probably Wind Style: Gust. It created a small gust of wind from the user's palm, used to kindle flames or blow away a bit of dust.

From what Tekku could gather, these jutsu existed to give shinobi a set of tools to survive in the wild and familiarize them with the concept of elemental jutsu. They all used a rudimentary level of nature transformation usable for everyone. Coincidentally, they were created by the Third Hokage.

Other things in the library were books on poisons, plants, and animals with specific knowledge for combat or healing purposes. There were also more advanced taijutsu styles developed by the Second Hokage. All of them were 100% compatible with the Academy style and could be incorporated with little modifications into any advanced style or used as a base for one's completely own style. There were also manuals and styles for different weapons like swords, staffs, daggers, blunt weapons, and even bows.

But the most amazing find was a book set called "Fundamentals of Fuinjutsu Part One to Three" by Jiraiya. It was a complete structured guide for basic fuinjutsu techniques. The first book introduced the fundamental knowledge everyone needed, including the most standard alphabet for sealing in Konoha. In the second book, the knowledge was applied for the first time while still expanding the theory. It introduced single storage seals that could store one thing, trigger seals that could be used as a trigger for booby traps, and different small seals that didn't have much combat application, like illumination seals that could create light powered by the stored chakra. Lastly, the third book taught one how to create explosive tags, smoke tags, storage scrolls, how to seal weapons and shoot them from a seal, paralysis seals, and more.

Apparently, this set of three books was the standard sealing course that was even a requirement for Anbu to learn. It was also what most jonin learned, but they stopped if they didn't aspire to be a sealing master. Tekku even asked the chunin responsible for the library if they accidentally placed the books there since it was knowledge that Anbu had to learn.

Which they didn't, sealing was such a complex art that most jonin didn't even learn the content of these three basic books. The shinobi world, not just Konoha, had such a lack of good fuinjutsu users that Konoha decided to let even Academy students gain free access to these books early, to encourage them to focus on fuinjutsu since the art was easily accessible for them, unlike other jutsu.

Even with these policies, Konoha only had three fuinjutsu masters: the Third Hokage, Jiraiya, and Danzo. The last one was only Tekku's guess since the chunin didn't say that. Additionally, there were some experts like Kakashi who could use some more advanced seals, but not more than a handful. They even always lacked people who could create explosive tags, and Konoha was happy to buy high-quality ones from anyone.

This information was something that Tekku noted down mentally, as it could be a good way to earn some more cash as a genin. Well, this was a very welcome surprise for Tekku, as he always wanted to learn fuinjutsu, which had some of the most overpowered jutsu in the Naruto Universe. The more he could learn early on, the better. Any additional bonus earnings from fuinjutsu would also be very welcome.

Especially since he recently began to collect all the tools and furniture he needed for a rudimentary workshop and laboratory. He mostly got woodworking tools for now, a few for metals, and some laboratory equipment for experimentation and poisons. And by laboratory equipment, he means some glass containers and stuff, nothing like a microscope.

He found a simple microscope in one of the stores in Konoha, but it was far too expensive for him for now and literally of the quality level that they sold for kid experimentation in his past life, with at most a 100x enlargement. It would do for the start, but he felt he would have to create much of the better equipment himself. That's why he was gathering the first tools for now.

Also, he needed some sort of trump card when he became a genin. He had no interest in dying an early death because he only had the stuff available in the Academy. Although he knew the steps necessary for the Rasengan, it would be hard to explain where he learned it since the Fourth Hokage needed three years to develop it. Even if he could use it without troublesome questions, with his current chakra reserves, he could only use it one or two times, which pretty much disqualified it as a trump card for his survival in this cruel world since he would be too exhausted to fight on.

So in the end, he would have to develop or build his trump card himself, and he already began making a blueprint of something and collecting the necessary materials. He had one year to complete it and practice with it. But first, he had to attend the electives from next week on.
