Chapter 98 : Tsunade

As the journey to find Tsunade continued, Jiraiya began teaching Naruto one of the Fourth Hokage's legendary jutsus—the Rasengan just like in the anime. No such favorable think for Shika though, makes sense, Minato invented the technique so it makes sense that Jiraiya pass down the technique to Naruto. Teaching the technique to Shika indeed doesn't make sense.

It was a long and winding road, both physically and mentally, for Naruto, but his excitement to learn something so powerful kept him motivated.

Shika was happy about it, after all if the kid doesn't have something to keep him occupied, then how can he himself can train.

"Alright, Naruto," Jiraiya said, holding up a small water balloon, "the first step is to make the water inside spin. You need to rotate the chakra inside your palm in every possible direction."

Naruto, scratching his head, looked confused. "In every direction? How am I supposed to do that?"

Jiraiya laughed and smacked Naruto on the back. "It's not supposed to be easy, kid! You've got to feel the chakra, control it, and force it to rotate at high speed."

Meanwhile, Shika was a bit farther back, sitting under a tree with his own training. He was now focusing on mastering Nue's lightning. Healing from Round Deer and Water from Max Elephant. He has long mastered those. Lighting was the only thing left.

Nue granted him access to incredible lightning abilities, good thing considering Shika himself doesn't possess that element and he was determined to master it.

He was particularly interested in imitating a famous jutsu he'd seen before—Chidori.

The last time he saw Sasuke using this technique, he just wanted to learn this technique. He don't particularly need the technique, he has convergence but there are times when having Chidori will help. Not to mention he has to master lightning anyway so why not?

Another big reason for learning this technique was exactly why he wasn't learning Rasengan all this time. After all Rasengan takes too much Chakra. And though now he has enough to make Rasengan but still why do that when he can significantly save chakra by going with Chidori and using Nue's Lightning. He has Sharingan now, the only condition besides lighting element to use this technique so he doesn't see any reason not to learn it.

"If I can channel Nue's lightning and mold it into the shape of a Chidori," Shika muttered to himself, "I might be able to create something similar."

Jiraiya kept a close eye on Shika, offering advice when needed. He watched Naruto struggle with the water balloon, splashing water everywhere but he was more interested in what Shika was doing.

He can't lie, the boy now had attracted his attention.

'No wonder Danzo wanted him, being able to repel Itachi and that summon. He got many secrets he's hiding.' Jiraiya wanted to know but never asked.

He saw Shika was busy moulding chakra and lightning into his hand, creating sparks and flashes of light.

After hours of practice, Jiraiya finally sat down with Shika to teach him about sealing techniques.

"Since you're learning lightning-based jutsus, I can't help you in that, I don't have that element but I'm going to help you refine your ninjutsu while we are out here.

You are already very good at Fuinjutsu. I remember one of my students being the same. I heard that you were able to seal Sand Jinchuriki's Biju's Chakra during your match. That impressive. So lets start with something more challenging, something more complex." Jiraiya said as he told to Shika.

"Ah, thank you Jiraiya Sama." Shika nodded, always ready to learn this and who knows maybe in future he can get his hands on Hiraishin.

Jiraiya's lessons were invaluable. Fuinjutsu required focus, and it reminded Shika of how he handled his Convergence techniques—both needed precise control.

With Jiraiya's guidance, Shika began to understand the finer details of seals and how to combine them with his abilities.

At the same time, he continued working on his lightning jutsu. Day by day, he molded chakra into his hand, creating sparks until, one night, with a flash of light and crackling energy, Shika successfully formed his version of the Chidori.

"You know you can significantly increase the training speed if only you make a few clones..." Shika decided to spoil it.

"Huh? What do you mean ?" Naruto looked confused.

Shika only smiled at this, he was about to unleash a Naruto who knew how to increase his training speed and have time in this world.

God knows what will happen after this, but he is doing it. And no one can stop him.

Hahahahaha....

And then it happened, Naruto moved from the water balloon to a solid rubber ball for the next step of the Rasengan training on the very next day.

Maybe he would have done that sooner if Shika haven't put a 5 clone a time limit on him.

He was no longer just making splashes—he was getting closer to making the chakra spin properly.

After days of searching, Jiraiya, Naruto, and Shika finally arrived in a small, bustling town. Jiraiya had been asking around about a legendary sucker, knowing that Tsunade was known for her terrible luck. It didn't take long before someone pointed them toward a nearby tavern.

"There she is," Jiraiya said, spotting Tsunade sitting at a table inside, casually sipping sake with her assistant, Shizune.

Naruto squinted. "That's Tsunade? She doens't look old at all."

Jiraiya chuckled. "Don't let appearances fool you, kid. She's one of the strongest ninjas you'll ever meet. And just as old as me."

As they approached, Tsunade noticed them immediately. Her eyes narrowed when she recognized Jiraiya. "What do you want, Jiraiya?" she asked, clearly unimpressed.

"Ah well... lots has happened Tsunade. Lets talk with some drinks..." Jiraiya said with a little embarrassed look, after all the man was about to fool her into becoming Hokage and check paper all her life.
