2nd String

[Year-70, 11 May]- 14th day after his reincarnation.

[General POV]

A boy could be seen out in the dark forest of some unknown place. The boy was looking around back and forth. He sometimes ran at the left or sometimes right, sometimes straight. It was clearly understood from his actions, that he was lost. He didn't know where he was. The boy was of course our truly Satoru. Suddenly, Satoru shouted with frustration, "Where the heck am I? ". To know how he got to the forest in the first place, we have to go 10 hours back.

[MC POV]

[8 am morning]

I hope today shall be a productive day. Past these two days are going really bad. I went ahead and performed the memorizing and basic exercise. After doing both, I took an ice-cold bath to relax my muscles and alleviate the pain. After which I went outside wearing the same cloth as yesterday.

I started walking towards the book division of the market. After I reached the book division, I went from store to store trying to find books on the experience of refining technique. I looked for quite a while till I found a book like such. I started reading the book and see what it had to say.

[General POV]

The first page of the book basically said the same thing as what went with Satoru's 1st string. He looked for the 2nd string experience. It was just written,

" Sometimes, to do big things in future, we should not try and start with big steps rather small steps. Parallelity between strings is what is necessary". Satoru turned pages after pages but couldn't find anything on the 2nd string. This book became useless to him.

[MC POV]

I looked for more books but still couldn't find something to get rid of my predicament. I started to review the quote from the earlier book (Quote from the experience book.- "sometimes....is necessary"). As I was thinking such stuff. I saw a very angel in front of me. I meant a cute girl. It was none other than Sakura? No, it was Hinata.

She also seemed to be buying something. I was mesmerized by her cuteness. I was quietly savoring her's cuteness. But still, my heart took a lot of damage. Everything was perfect. Except getting a cold gaze from the guy at her side. Suddenly she looked at me and gave a smile. It melted my heart

[General POV]

Satoru got lost in thinking about her, 2nd string stuff. He had no sense of direction. He didn't even know that he came to a forest region. He was so lost in thoughts. He suddenly sat and started the refining technique.

This time he subconsciously leaked a little mental energy on the first string such that the 1st string became straight. Directly parallel to that he started to make his second-string consciously.

This time he didn't start with a big step 4cm. He started with making a 0.1 cm string first (small step). It worked perfectly fine and a 0.1cm, 2nd string was created. He then used the rest of the energy to increase the string to about 3cm. He then made sure to wait 10min to check its stability. Only after seeing that the 2nd string not disappearing did he huffed a sigh.

He started to laugh. He seemed really happy. He checked his chakra energy which went up by 0.7 units. In total, he had 4.7 units of energy. He looked at his side, he saw he was in a forest. He started to walk to his left but came to a dead end. He tried right the same occurred. He then came to a stop and shouted, " where the heck am I??

[MC POV]

As I was shouted with my lungs out. A voice entered my ears, "ahh, such is fate. I never thought I will meet with u, kid the very next day". The moment I heard it I knew who he was. I turned back. I saw the man was none other than Sakumo. I replied," yeah, such is fate". He asked me about what I was doing there? To which I replied I was just roaming around. He with a smile and sarcastic voice, " so u r lost??" "who is lost, u r lost. Ur family is lost" is what I thought.

But I still politely replied, "Nah, old man, I am just here to get some air". Then Sakumo replied, "then see u later, kid". He was really fast, he vanished. I was shocked. I thought I might follow him and find my path but it seemed I was a fool. Damn my ego. I should have said yes

I shouted, "no I actually got lost, come back, take me home". The moment I said that I got a feeling something was about to happen, and guess what. I then heard a voice, " u should always speak the truth, kid". I replied, "now that u know take me home, old man". Sakumo replied, "I don't know, I don't see any sincerity, why should I take u home??"

I got veins hanging in my forehead, but I suppressed my anger and politely replied, oh great saint. Your aura makes me feel like ur direction is the right path. I the ignorant, got lost in my path. Show me a way to get rid of my predicament"

Sakumo looked satisfied and started coming towards me, picked me up and I was out of the forest. He then said, "don't walk unconsciously, kid, I have taken quite a liking to u ". I thought, "liking my foot, u just want attention, I meant praise" but I replied, "I shall be careful from next time, sir".

He nodded and vanished. The rest of the path was known to me. The time I reached home was about 6:00 pm. My mother and father weren't home yet. Thank god.

I was really tired, so I got a break from maths today. After eating dinner and skipping the 2nd session of memorizing, I performed the Pythagorean technique. I went to sleep.

Just like that the 14th day after my reincarnation came to an end.
